When I was watching this and you guys were talking about it, as a die-hard fan of this.. I wonder if the reason it's so highly regarded is that so many of us probably watched it when we were kids.. it was PG but PG was still very young.. and if I remember right PG was created after / because of my all-time favorite movie the 1986 transformers. So it was one of those movies that was really an adult movie but the parents didn't know that so we didn't have to wait for them to go to bed.. which meant once the parents went to bed then you could bang out an entire NES Nintendo video game until 6:00 in the morning

2022-08-28 01:51:35 +0000 UTCi love this film but i think nostalgia plays a massive part, it reminds me of the never-ending story to friends as i loved it and they didn't like it, when i then went to rewatch it since i was a kid i could see the flaws but the love came from the nostalgia
