Episode Synopsis: An impassioned chef from the South seeks restitution after his robbery conviction is overturned and hires Shawn & Gus to help him find the criminal whose time he served...
Good episode but to answer your question, "is this an authorized search". They were invited in. Never tell an officer they can come in unless you really want them there. Just like never accept a beverage from an officer especially during an interview, they offer it, not cause they're being nice, they want your DNA.

I think John should watch the musical anytime before Deez Nups in season 7? I just got to thinking

everytime i see anthony anderson i can only think of kangaroo jack which is one of those movies from my childhood that more than likely does not stand up today.
Hi John! Look at your pumpkin shirt! π So cute! βΊ
But I hope you are doing well. I wanted to speak on the 'looking like he did something he didn't do' line. I personally hate when that happens. I can relate, trust me. It's like the oldest and most irritating trick in the book. It reminds me of that tired Magician trick/illusion when the Mag has those interlocked rings. And then...all of a sudden- they're separated! I mean, like HOW? Right? :P
In other words something can seem connected or apart, but then you look closer and even closer and you realize the difference. Or just how the illusion works. Until something is investigated THOROUGHLY you can never be sure until God shows up. Sorry if that went on too long. But hopefully you get what I'm trying to convey here.
Anyway I πππ you and I will see you next time! πͺπ₯Έ

I liked Anthony Anderson as a guest star, he had a very explosive presence in this episode. And in a new ep. of "John's Where Have I Seen Them Before?" - speaking of all the SPN talk, Carl's [insert Rick Grimes meme here] girlfriend (Sharon Taylor) played the (sexy) Crossroads Demon in SPN! Next week, season finale!! Such a bitter sweet feeling, getting so close to the end.
ππ. Clue: Speaking of sweet, Gus sure show's off his sweet tooth next ep.
Trivia: At the beginning of the ep, Thane mentions how he's gonna enrol in the police academy and become a detective, and later in the ep. Shawn tells him "that this isn't an episode of Law & Order", Anthony Anderson played a det. for 2y on Law & Order before his appearance here.
