The actors did a fine job, especially Florence Pugh, I don't blame them. This movie was an attempt at a psychological venture using a simulated reality. There was nothing original in my opinion, very cliche and unmoving. Similar movies such as: The Truman Show, Pleasantville, Total Recall, The Matrix, Shutter Island, Source Code, have used this concept and are all significantly better than this movie. The ending to this movie just felt shallow. How exactly did Alice's awakening simultaneously awaken the others? If Olivia Wilde's character chose this life why would she attempt to help Alice, knowing that it would end her bliss? Who exactly was Chris Pine and why was he sitting idly by as his project is falling apart? Felt like a half baked episode of Black Mirror.
