I believe the doctor is also a simulation and the veritas just says that the world is a simulation which is why everyone kills themselves.

2022-11-17 10:28:46 +0000 UTCIm pretty sure the veritas (translates to the truth) was just text saying that this world is a simulation so after reading it people killed themselves knowing it’s a fake world and so they can get out of the simulation. That’s why they didn’t want the doctor reading it Cus he’s prob the one person who could stop them
