Update and Plans
Added 2021-07-31 11:19:10 +0000 UTCI'm currently out of house since Thursday and lasting till tomorrow evening to visit relatives after years of not seeing them.
I still put a lot of time in Blender because I couldn't bring myself to go back to my original program and keep working on my Succubus project. It felt like a thick blockade which I didn't seem to break through until now but I started working on it again and released a new batch. I tried to get a second one done before leaving but time was way too tight. I really wished I would've done more but since I'm back at it for real now (the batch before was backlog content) I hope I'll be able to compensate for the last 2 months. I don't want to pause the upcoming month but I'll offer to lower the pledge to 1€ and I'm gonna release batches during that month at the 1€ tier. As of now I most likely will reach and start working on the TG animations and release WIPs during August. If that's the case I'll let those animation specific posts at the higher tiers though.
I already started working on the next batch for the project and as soon as I'm back home tomorrow I'll finish it as quickly as possible. If I take longer than 4 days I'll keep you updated about it. (Thursday+)
I still got all those reworked pages of the Succubus opening (around 70 pages) which I'll have to put together. When I reach the TG animation part of the project I'll slowly start finishing that up.
In terms of Blender I learned a few interesting things. I put a decent amount of time into learning render passes and how to work with them which is gonna help me in post production a lot. I think post production is still a flaw I need to improve. I also learned how to give breasts (or other body parts collission) and I can't wait to make some animations utilizing that. I also refreshed and expanded my understanding of the fluid tools and the rest was a bunch of random things. When I'm done with my Succubus project I either want to do a 30 day challenge where I release something I made in Blender every day or do some fleshed out TG animation with cloth, hair, jiggle physics, collission etc.. Basically utilizing what I learned as much as possible.
When I was rendering recently I got some heat issues with my PC, which caused blackscreens and a restart of the PC. I opened up the PC and put my AC in front of it and so far it works. We didn't have insane temperatures this summer in Germany so far so I'll wait and see if I can sustain it. If I'll get issues again I may have to remove one GPU for the rest of the summer which will slow down render times a bit. The 2 cards are so close together that there's a lot of heat build up. When I get a new PC I'm gonna put more attention to the cooling.
Anyway, that's it for now. I really appreciate your support and I hope you all are doing fine. I'll post/write something latest on thursday.
P.S.: I scheduled new reward folders for tomorrow where I added the few images, Blender animations and the newest version of the Succubus Project.

Yea, usually I don't have overheating issues (I had the same cards already last summer) and I also kinda cleaned the case like 3 months ago. More fans are only a option on the bottom or top, they are too big for the side. Maybe it's not even the GPUs, could be the CPU too. I didn't put thermal paste on it in years and I monitored the temps which went almost up to 100.

2021-07-31 14:25:35 +0000 UTCAbout the PC overheating, opening up the case and putting a fan in front of it looks weird but it's legitimately something that works, I've done that myself many times. It's the right thing to do when you're in trouble. Cooling down your existing PC more efficiently is quite doable and pretty cheap, you don't need a new PC for that. I recently had to add an extra chassis fan to my own PC, which only cost me 10 Canadian dollars. For existing machines, you can often go a long way by just clearing up dust near the ventilation ports, or by moving internal cables or disk trays out of the way of the ventilation ports, which is free to do. As a reminder of things to check: - In a standard PC case, air flows from front to back, and bottom to top. - Try to balance intake fans (in the front and bottom) and exhaust fans (at the rear and the top). The power supply itself acts as a fan. - The case itself should never be placed directly against a wall, especially the front and rear. - Do not put the case directly on carpet. (This is where cool air can come from.) - If you have an exhaust port on top of the case, do not put blocking objects on it. - Check inside the machine for anything that blocks air intake, especially at the front. Disk trays are common culprits, you can often move them out of the way or even take them out entirely.
