the importance of using references

having this mindset i decided to start making studies on anatomy, color and perspective, the first one is my attempt at learning the face structure trought skulls
something important pop up of this, as you can see on the pic below, using references can make a difference between 1% improve and 5% improve
as you will see next, with each references used my attempts at drawing without references were improving slowly
this attempts were not perfect but they do illustrate that after a while of using references your technique gets cleaner and more close to the attempts when u do use references
