It is brilliant in so many ways, but I donโt applaud Stanley Kubrick sacrificing Shelly Duvallโs mental health at the altar of his ego. Some of the choices the director made were irresponsible and unethical in the guise of โcreating artโ. That being said it is brilliant work, but I canโt help asking, at what cost.
