Regarding toxicity in the comments
Added 2018-10-09 09:40:02 +0000 UTCIt's just a few people, which is almost a overstatement, but I won't tolerate any toxicity in the comments anymore. I understand that I overstrained the patience of some people and all I can do is excusing and pausing Patreon. If you still got issues I recommend pausing the pledge till I release a actual content post you liked to see.
Some comments aren't constructive or neutral but attacking me. At least it feels like this to me. If I see the same people commenting with the same negativity over and over I will take countermeasures.
It's still planned that I release content today. I'm working as fast as possible to get it done.

I just had a brilliant idea! Why not create a blog Surody? That way you're always producing content, and people can be kept informed on your professional exploits. I know plenty of YT let's players who've started doing that, since they experience burnout with their performance art. Now I'm not suggesting that you do vlogging. But just dropping a couple lines each week, describing your daily challenges and how you overcome them would be very insightful to both aspiring artists and your supporters. It can also be somewhat therapeutic too...just don't turn that into a diary. Keep your private life personal. Think of it more as a professional journal -- you know, like a captain's log. :)

2018-10-11 16:12:15 +0000 UTCEven after all these years helping run Farhad's, some things never change. I'm sorry about this happening to you Surody. No worries from me, I'm happy to support you even if your not producing every moment. Art takes time, and digital art takes more. :) Keep up the great work bub! --Xavier :D
2018-10-10 23:25:42 +0000 UTCThe creative process it taxing and taking a break from time to time is important. Yes there are people who would like to see a machine cranking out new content all the time, but then we lose the human nature of the effort. There are people who can't appreciate that and that is a shame. At least Surody does pause the process when he knows he won't be able to deliver and for that he should be respected. Don't worry about the small percent who have unreasonably high expectations and don't consider that you are a one person creation team.

2018-10-09 14:46:21 +0000 UTCyou've paused the pledges when there was trully nothing released and you made it very clear there were some issues around your personal situation. you've been fairly reasonable and its not like you're twisting anyones arm here to stick around. don't let the toxicity get to you! just strive to be better and leave it at that.

2018-10-09 14:19:28 +0000 UTCFine, but give us some news on trello more often (2 words or something fast to write) at least, so people know when they will pause their patreon ... Otherwise yes, people trend to get upset when you leave them in the dark (human reaction) ...

2018-10-09 13:12:13 +0000 UTCPatreon can be used anyway content creator wishes, with one exception. They have to follow the design philosophy of the Patreon corporation. Patreon envision this as a indie marketplace, with rewards for patronage. Prior to the modern industrial era, Patrons were supporters of artists who supported artists in exchange for commissions. This is not a charity drive. There's a give and take. Even a website like GoFundMe requires a perk system. It is human nature to be incentivized in order to grant support. Nothing in this world comes truly for free. Let me close by stating that Surody knows this principle and wants to be a pro, which is why Surody has chosen to freeze payment options during months when new content simply won't be available. I'm sorry if this came off as a criticism, it is not my intention. I am merely trying to provide new insight and perhaps education on the marketing and design philosophy of Patreon.

2018-10-09 12:03:15 +0000 UTCI hope that you are doing well and in good health. I know I can be demanding, but I try never to be negative. However, I can understand how someone badgering you for updates added with negativity of other comments can be construed as negativity as well. I'll follow your advice on the matter as opposed to keep asking for updates. On my part, I'm sorry if I contributed to your stress.

2018-10-09 11:49:05 +0000 UTCSometimes projects take longer than the planned schedule and waiting becomes an important factor for a good product. And it is harder when you are a one man team, even if it's something you enjoy. So be sure to take your time and don't rush.

2018-10-09 10:13:14 +0000 UTCLooking forward to today's content :). On the note of your post, Patreon in my mind has always been more like a support type thing than say purchase/preorder thing like backing a kickstarter. Maybe I'm wrong there but thats how I viewed it, throw a few dollars at a creator to support their passion, maybe get some neat stuff ahead of others depending on the creator's model. The 5 or so dollars sent your way should give people the ability to maybe be a bit more critical of your work output, but doesnt give anyone the right to belittle or insult you. Vote with your wallet people if this is more about purchasing a product to you, simple.
