Some process pics from today’s Warhammer piece!
Random observation: I’m not sure when exactly I became a total convert, but I’m officially a believer in flatting out my pieces with greyscale before colorizing the layers. It’s helped a lot with my value ranges/overall contrast! Also, silhouetting the early sketch before cleaning it up has helped me see issues with proportion, weight bearing, and just general energy/flow of the piece - in this case it was the catalyst for me altering her arm position + adding the masked cultist’s grip on her shoulder, and spreading the legs of the cultist on the left.
