Commission prices increasing - important!!!

 As everything has exploded this year, I'm in the very fortunate position  of raising my base prices slightly in line with the demand - thank you  so much for your support and appreciation of my work! Things are so busy  right now that I need to take the edge off and see how things sit in  the autumn as I was, of course, expecting the summer months to be quiet.
 

I will also be stricter about the Iron Author slots as, when I was  otherwise engaged with veterinary issues, I did not realise that some  were stringing together multiple slots to make one big story: this is  absolutely not in the spirit of offering quick, discounted slots and it  was my own distraction that allowed this to slip through, for which I  apologise.
 

The only change in pricing will be the base rate, which will now be 30  GBP instead of 25 GBP per 1,000 words. This will be up to 20,000 words,  merging two price bands into one. All other rates are remaining the same  as I've already tweaked those as needed last year. Some changes to my  terms and conditions will also come into effect but they are mostly  clarifications.
 

This change will come into effect on August 1st 2019 and all work  scheduled before this will be subject to the current rates before the  price increase is implemented; this is to allow a little warning time  before things change up as I have not raised my base in quite a while.  If you order a commission this month and confirm, your commission will  be at the current rates and not the new, higher rates. Everyone who's  already scheduled in has nothing to worry about.
 

To re-cap:
- Old rate per 1,000 words = 25 GBP
- New rate per 1,000 words = 30 GBP
- New rate will cover up to 20,000 words
- New price comes into effect on August 1st 2019
 

As a side note, I'm aware that my waiting list is getting longer,  although I am completely upfront with everyone when their work is  scheduled to be written (and have kept religiously to my lead times, so  no worry there). If this system does not work going forward due to  increased volume, I will consider something else so please feel free to  let me know if there's something that could work better for you in that  regard! For quick turnaround work, I will also still offer rush work for  an extra fee; this will not affect my lead times for scheduled work, of  course.
