Eargasms On The Horizon and Update 5/20

Hey guys!

It’s been a very productive week! Currently, I’m sitting at 5763 lines of code and 61,177 words of dialogue written for v4! Really happy with the way one of my spicy scenes turned out, it has multiple branches in it and differs depending on previous decisions/relationship with this character! I’m feeling a bit better these days, so we’re slowly but surely getting back on track.

As for art, 2 more CGs are complete. They were too spoilery, so I couldn’t stream them, but I had a great time streaming some of the BG art on Discord. Reading your predictions in the chat, whether wild or spot on, is really entertaining as always, so keep it coming ;).

Some big news I have is that I’ve found a Voice Actor! We’ve come to an agreement, so v4 will feature a voice acted scene. Speaking of, some of you may have peeped my recent Twitter poll. I asked whether or not folks would be interested in having their name/character’s name voiced in certain scenes in-game. Over 93% of voters have answered with a resounding ‘yes’, so I’m looking to implement that next update. To offset those additional VA costs, this perk will only be available from a certain tier on. I’ll send out a form with details a little later and the first 75 submissions will have their name in the game! Spots will fill quickly, so I’d keep an eye out in the near future.

I’m getting more active on Twitter and have started sharing fanworks on Fridays! If you have any art, fics, moodboards, or memes you want to share, drop them in Discord with your handle so I can credit you!

Looking ahead, I’ve gotten to the point where I feel comfortable plotting out my next few writing milestones and dev milestones, so I have a rough date for release, but I’m not ready to announce yet. I’ll be ready to announce once I have the game in the hands of the testers. Hoping that by next update I’ll have two more scenes before the end of writing, and then I'll be focusing on finishing out the rest of the CGs, implementing the VA lines, and getting ready for testing!
