Announcement - Poll
Added 2022-07-20 15:22:45 +0000 UTCHaven't done one of these in a while, but as this story nears its end and I have to decide the various characters' endings, I am not always sure which way to go.
I thought it would be nice to just ask all you great people for some of the most difficult to decide on, hoping it would give me some inspiration. I also don't know yet how many polls I am going to make for this or if this will be the last one on that topic.
Anyway let's get right into it: What should happen to Cersei Lannister?
The question is basically if she should live or not, as the specific details will probably come naturally once I write it. I already have ideas for both scenarios, but I don't know how to decide.
As most of you probably guessed, she will not be one of the partners of Phenex, as that would be forcing it and I don't like that type of romance/multi-paring setting. This isn't a Pokemon game afterall.
I am sure you do not like that either, otherwise you probably wouldn't be reading my stories.
Still what are your impressions of Cersei for this story so far? Can you imagine her alive at the end of it all, or not? Keep in mind that Jeoffrey will die without fail, which will have a huge impact on his mother.
She is not a good person sure, but neither are Melisandre, Kinvara or Phenex. They all have blood on their hands, like many others who work for the Red Temple.
Following the rules set by the temple, even as a cruel sadistic Queen mother there is a possibility of survival.
Still, her dying isn't that far-fetched either, as even her fear of the consequences may crumble under the rage of losing her child, which could get her killed easily.
So you see, it isn't an easy decision to make, though I am confident to do the story justice either way, when I finally get around to decide on the path forward.
Once again, what is your opinion? Living or Dying?
Comments
To be honest, I don't think it's rational to let Cersie live based on what she's done, and what we know about her. Yet a part of me longs to know what will happen to her if she lives. I mean, aside from the issues with the red temple, she's too arrogant for her own good in most situations due to her high birth, so if she had to run away for the rest of her life to 'protect' his children, as he watches the rise of westeros after the annexation of the temple, and the decline of the nobility, he would have to swallow his pride for the rest of his life, and forgive me, but this ending seems appropriate given the circumstances.
