Shifting to paid shoots

I'M SICK OF IT! Ok, it's not so bad, but it's true that I need to make some changes.

I have been shooting most of these images on a TFP basis and it was more or less fine for a long time. Many asks or even accuses me of monetising on my models on Patreon, but I can assure you that all my models were willingly and happily taking the free shoot in exchange for me posting my pictures on social media and here as well.

But tricky situations still emerge. The model gets a new job (or new boyfriend, YUCK) and they can't afford having their nudes on the internet anymore. Of course once it's out there, it's out there, but that's hard to explain. So sometimes they ask me to remove the pictures. My contract accounts for that, basically they can just pay for the shoot and we can treat it as it was a private shoot where she holds all rights to pictures. Usually they are fine with this, except the few cases when they can't afford it.

So what than? My prices are really affordable, but if you are a struggling millenial / gen z, who barely gets by on ramen noodles than I guess it's a challenge. I grew a bit cynical over the years and I usually think in my head "yeah, consequences and taking responsibility for your actions applies to models as well". But in reality I have to make a choice and if I don't remove the pictures for FREE I will be deemed as an asshole who takes advantages of models. It' s not a good look.

On top of this I REALLY don't like to take the money either. I don't need the price of a shoot I did years ago, I just want to use the pictures instead of putting them away in a drawer for no one to see ever. But I understand that I need to provide them an out (because some just can't think ahead).

Nevertheless... rambling aside.

Even though the idea that people are just undressing for me for free is kinda cool, I think I will minimise TFP shoots and will work with paid models from now on (except the few models I am basically friends with and trust). This is where Patreon is a huge help. To be transparent: with the Patreon income I can afford to work with 1 reasonably priced model a month and I hope to increase that.
