2021-10-21 07:27:56 +0000 UTCI would like to see you watch Death Becomes Her. It's more of a dark comedy than a funny horror movie.

2021-10-20 22:43:05 +0000 UTCFun fact An American Werewolf in London is the first movie to get the best makeup oscar in 1981. A newly created award after many people felt that the make up from The Elephant Man the year before should have won an award, but there was not one for makeup yet and the rest is history. Thanks for all the great content I wish you had considered watching SAW the first one is an amazing horror movie that everyone should check out.

2021-10-18 00:33:46 +0000 UTCI'd love to see you watch Knives out! Doesn't even have to be for October, it's just a great movie :D

2021-10-11 01:08:29 +0000 UTCI knew zombieland would win but you really should watch tucker it's just so good and v funny don't deny yourself that one just cos of survey you'd be missing out so much fun.
2021-10-09 05:12:12 +0000 UTCZombieland is ok but Tucker & Dale vs Evil is a masterpiece

2021-10-08 02:34:46 +0000 UTCThis will definitely be a great one after Natmares.

2021-10-08 00:15:02 +0000 UTCWhile not scary I’m voting Knives Out if you don’t get to it during Natmares…definitely worth watching

2021-10-07 06:32:09 +0000 UTCI don't watch many movies in the theater (even pre-pandemic) but Zombieland is one I saw back in college and it quickly became one of my favorites.

2021-10-06 23:56:01 +0000 UTCIf you ever would like to see some of Peter Jackson earlier work, The Frighteners is just right for the season. Made just a few years before Lord of the Ring

2021-10-06 17:14:14 +0000 UTCI'm 100% with you Adam Barker!! Both of those movies would top tier for Spooktober. I'd honestly hate to have to wait a whole year to enjoy those reactions. :)

2021-10-06 03:11:28 +0000 UTCYou should watch squid game. And maybe Get Out for spooktober.
Adam Barker
2021-10-06 00:23:02 +0000 UTCThe zombieland series are good movies, but...Tucker and Dale is great. one of a kind, and honestly maybe the best Funny/scary type movies ever made. If it doesnt win you should def watch later.
Jeremy Harris
2021-10-05 21:07:36 +0000 UTCYoung Frankenstein is one of the funniest movies ever made.

Byron
2021-10-04 21:45:17 +0000 UTCZombieland is… fine. It’ll do. Tucker and Dale is pure genius and has a heart of gold. Knives Out should definitely be reserved for a mystery comedy list.
Byron
2021-10-04 21:44:22 +0000 UTCOh my god, yes!
Byron
2021-10-04 21:40:33 +0000 UTCI think Knives Out (even though I haven't seen it yet, but based on all I've heard) should be on a different poll, with Clue, and (really ol' skool) Murder By Death, and a, uh, what's a good fourth murder mystery type comedy? The Big Lebowski??? Nope, on second thought, The Nice Guys, or Se7en (I'm kidding, please don't watch that Nat, you'll f*cking hate it... It's a pretty well made movie though, jus' sayin')
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
2021-10-04 03:26:52 +0000 UTCZombieland would be considered comedy, except for Natalie's reaction to any zombies ;-)

2021-10-04 00:28:05 +0000 UTCLets get Insidious or Conjuring up on the list please! hahaha
2021-10-03 23:36:37 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale for sure comedy horror or like cabin in the woods

2021-10-03 17:43:34 +0000 UTCI can't believe so many people aren't voting Tucker and Dale vs Evil. It's the only real comedy horror one on the list... Zombieland is good but more nonchalant than comedy.
Jon Henagan
2021-10-03 16:09:08 +0000 UTCLove Zombieland. Now just hopes that Tucker and Dale gets another chance. Knives out isn’t really a “scary” movie, it’s a murder mystery

2021-10-03 03:12:01 +0000 UTCI really hope Cabin in The Woods makes it on to one of the polls this month
Matt Adams
2021-10-03 02:43:21 +0000 UTCthe correct answer is Cabin in The Woods
Vincent Valentin
2021-10-03 01:40:19 +0000 UTCYou absolutely cannot go wrong with either Zombieland or Knives Out. I personally think you will enjoy Knives Out just a little bit more and you’d be hard pressed to find two more divergent films from similar genres, but it looks like Z-Land is going to win, and that’s cool. I do hope you’ll consider Knives Out again very soon. It is a masterpiece.
Brandon Scott
2021-10-03 01:17:51 +0000 UTCThere is a comedy/horror poll, yet Army of Darkness is not on it. Clearly there is some kind of malfunction.
Skizane
2021-10-03 00:40:05 +0000 UTCIt appears Zombieland is going to win. While I think you will enjoy the movie, it is similar to Shaun of the Dead in that it is parodying lots of the tropes zombie films have done over the years. As with any satire, it is best to watch the content the satire is making fun of before watching the satire itself.

2021-10-02 23:40:34 +0000 UTCPersonally I'd go with Zombieland for this theme. But, I hope you get to Knives Out someday. It doesn't really fit the funny/scary theme. It's more of a classic murder mystery ala Agatha Christie. There are some funny parts to it, but the mystery is the main focus. It is very well done with great acting.
Marty McGee
2021-10-02 23:39:21 +0000 UTCAmerican Werewolf in London is a scary movie with some comedy in it; but Zombieland is a comedy with some sorta-scary in it. Zombieland.
Robert Hughes
2021-10-02 23:07:23 +0000 UTCPlease react to tucker and dale vs evil. It really is comedy horror. I have rewatched it many times. It's up there with Shaun of the Dead.
2021-10-02 22:58:47 +0000 UTCZombieland is fun. Tucker and Dale is hilarious. Also, when she finally gets to it, who wants to bet Natalie develops a crush on Dale? ;)
JayF
2021-10-02 22:38:09 +0000 UTCProbably no real need to comment but zombieland is overrated.
panacamanana
2021-10-02 22:32:52 +0000 UTCAlso, Cabin in the Woods is such a fun movie. However, if you ever consider it, I would highly recommend avoiding all descriptions and thumbnails before you watch. Maybe have Tyler get it ready for you so you just have to hit play LOL Seriously though. I watched Cabin in the Woods in theaters without watching any of the trailers, and I'm so glad I did! It was full of fun surprises, so when I watched the trailer after, I was totally surprised by just how much of those twists and turns that made the movie so fun were in the advertisements, posters, and blu-ray's cover art! Anyway, I'm glad I watched it going in blind and recommend trying to do so too if you ever check it out :)
Jorge Lopez
2021-10-02 22:22:05 +0000 UTCLOVE Knives Out, but I agree with most everyone else. It doesn't really fit here, so I voted for Zombieland. Hope you are able to do KO sometime though, because it's SO good!
Jorge Lopez
2021-10-02 22:15:50 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale vs. evil takes all the classic horror elements and flips them on its head in a slightly over the top and humorous way.
2021-10-02 21:11:59 +0000 UTCIt'd be a shame if Tucker and Dale, Cabin in the Woods, What we do in the Shadows, and even Warm Bodies were not some how included as comedy films to balance out any pure horror this month. The Nice Guys can wait till November, right? :)
Marc Ammundsen
2021-10-02 20:53:15 +0000 UTCFor something different an 80s classic is Evil Dead: Army of Darkness.
Flux
2021-10-02 20:41:11 +0000 UTCReturn of the Living Dead is a classic! I love it. It is the best kind of 80s cheese
Myles Away
2021-10-02 19:49:13 +0000 UTCYeah definitely zombieland very enjoyable film.
David Pressley
2021-10-02 19:49:01 +0000 UTCI am glad Knives Out is not winning. It does not fit the theme at all. The other three fit the theme well. Any would work. But I think you'd enjoy Dale and Tucker the most and then possibly Zombieland.
Myles Away
2021-10-02 19:41:39 +0000 UTCTough choice, I love American Werewolf in London, and while hilarious, Tucker and Dale leans heavily on horror movie tropes so it may not be as fun for you. Knives Out is great but doesn’t really fit. Zombieland is probably the best choice. If you’re “wanting” fun zombie movies, I’d suggest Return of the Living Dead, just some solid 80s cheese with punks, gore and zombies.
Tony Johnson
2021-10-02 19:25:07 +0000 UTCKnives out isn’t scary, per se, but IMO it’s the best of this bunch
Muir Lyman
2021-10-02 19:13:30 +0000 UTCFor scary/funny, Zombieland fits so well. Knives out is also definitely worth watching at some point!
Werlock Holmes
2021-10-02 18:42:39 +0000 UTCKnives Out is great, but it's a funny Agatha Christie-style mystery, not a horror movie. As the descendant of some West Virginia hill folk, I've got to go with Tucker & Dale.
Kevin Mowery
2021-10-02 18:13:56 +0000 UTCZombieland will be fun. Another comedy that has Halloween elements is WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS film and their is also the spin off TV show which is hilarious.
Reavis Wade
2021-10-02 18:04:19 +0000 UTCI have to assume that she's already got What We Do in the Shadows already on her list to watch.

2021-10-02 18:03:37 +0000 UTCOkay, I’m going to put you on trial for your entire generation: If it’s on the exact same disk shelf or streaming channel as newer movies, WHAT….does it even MATTER…when the movie was made? And yes, that’s a non-rhetoric What, as in, begging an answer: Are you judging it by its “dated sensibilities”, based solely on PC or ageist prejudices of its date? Do you somehow feel “superior” to the movie if you can see how it was practically made, “pity” it for not having photorealistic CGI, or “insulted” that they would show it to someone used to it? Are you hesitant to like something that wasn’t made in your own lifetime, because that would be giving credit to the talents of people who came before you, and that you’re not “improvising” the new century by yourself from scratch, as you thought you were? …No, not picking on you personally, just asking any volunteers to stand up in front of the class and explain their “Ugh”’s, so we can all have a good look.

2021-10-02 18:02:15 +0000 UTCHow about a write-in? Lake Placid ☺
Rob Benjamin
2021-10-02 17:59:16 +0000 UTCUgh, American Werewolf was made in the 80's, but man, it was so legendary and fun when it came out!!! Plus, there is only one Zombie in it!!! And he's hilarious!!!
2021-10-02 17:50:20 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale vs Evil is the clear winner here. Zombieland doesn't hold up, and Knives Out isn't funny nor spooky.
The Golgothan
2021-10-02 17:46:35 +0000 UTCI would love to see her react to The Conjuring lol
Jayson Phillips
2021-10-02 17:43:11 +0000 UTCWhile I would love to see you react to Knives Out, it is not scary or all that funny. It is more of a very good (and star filled) mystery.
hfwilliams
2021-10-02 17:17:19 +0000 UTCKnives out? It's neither a comedy nor scary. It's Agatha christie. A whodoneit.

2021-10-02 17:12:01 +0000 UTCEven with the zombies, I think you will have a good time with Zombieland Nat. It's a lot of fun, and after GOT, surely nothing can faze you now, right Nat? 😊
Darryl Low
2021-10-02 16:56:13 +0000 UTCKnives Out is definitely the best movie on the list, but it also doesn't belong since it's not horror, or comedy
Matt Adams
2021-10-02 16:53:38 +0000 UTCKnives Out is amazing.

Matthew Huff
2021-10-02 16:31:20 +0000 UTCI've been pushing for An American Werewolf in London for a long time. Even though it's getting crushed, I'll take getting it onto a poll as a small victory!
Alan Kobb
2021-10-02 15:58:59 +0000 UTCI know right?! No doubt a wonderful film w a brilliant story and endlessly great acting, but simply not a qualified Nat-mare scare flick... more like a Murder-in-the-Family-Mystery that'd be PERFECT for thanksgiving.
JPOlsen
2021-10-02 15:57:17 +0000 UTCOff topic but under the radar movies that Nat HAS TO WATCH! WIND RIVER, RUSH, HACKSAW RIDGE, WARRIOR, THE NICE GUYS, PEANUTBUTTER FALCON. That is all
2021-10-02 15:53:50 +0000 UTC+1 for American Werewolf
Gary Poussard
2021-10-02 15:51:27 +0000 UTCAll good choices. Yet, Tucker&Dale is a cultural milestone for the urban party kids & the rural blue-collar hillbillies. A must watch for all. I believe is crowned right next to Shaun of the Dead when it comes to unique Horror/Comedy.
JPOlsen
2021-10-02 15:51:08 +0000 UTCThere are no bad choices on this list....unless you chose not to chose...that would be a bad choice.
Essero Eson
2021-10-02 15:32:34 +0000 UTCSome weak choices there. I voted for Tucker and Dale though for whatever reason it looks like Zombieland will win.
Dooly
2021-10-02 15:22:54 +0000 UTCKnives Out really isn’t “scary” imho — more of a mystery genre
Jay Wacker
2021-10-02 15:19:32 +0000 UTCAmerican Werewolf, the only 20th city. horror(/comedy) film on the list.
Eric Janssen
2021-10-02 15:12:22 +0000 UTCI wish I could vote for Cabin in the Woods!! Instead my vote goes to Zombieland which has genuinely one of the funniest moments in cinema history imo.
Edward Hill
2021-10-02 15:08:10 +0000 UTCTough call here, but let's hope Zombieland doesn't prevail. The other films are all far better in different ways.
Marc Ammundsen
2021-10-02 14:47:11 +0000 UTCSad to see so little love for American Werewolf, but Zombieland is ok as a Winner as well
Felix Bergman
2021-10-02 14:46:32 +0000 UTCI really wish Nat would put The Fly in these polls. Now THAT is horror.
THE LORE!!!
2021-10-02 14:42:25 +0000 UTCOf that list American Werewolf is tempting, but Knives Out is such a good time.
The Goateed Geek
2021-10-02 14:35:10 +0000 UTCThis whole list could be the rest of Natmares and I'd be happy - still needs Cabin in the Woods though!
C.J. Mack
2021-10-02 14:32:10 +0000 UTCI would also suggest The Ghost and Mr Chicken as an older classic spooky comedy. The Chicken is played by Don Knotts
Ben Wheeler
2021-10-02 14:29:38 +0000 UTCAlan Tudyk plays Tucker in Tucker and Dale. I rest my case.
John Hanna
2021-10-02 14:21:58 +0000 UTCYou should consider Knives Out as a standalone film for some random week. Not scary but very well made.
Michael
2021-10-02 14:14:52 +0000 UTCI agree that Knives Out isn’t particularly scary (although it does have very high tension in places), but it is a magnificent film.

G. T. Blackwell
2021-10-02 14:06:56 +0000 UTCGoing for Knives Out. It's not a scary movie, but everyone and their grandmother has reacted to Zombieland, and one thing I like about Natalie is she tries to keep things fresh.
tezster
2021-10-02 14:04:28 +0000 UTCYa it's a Agatha Christie-esque murder mystery. Kind of a different tone than horror.
WackySwacky
2021-10-02 14:00:17 +0000 UTCI would say Zombieland is the only one on this list that doesn't really hold up. Ah well. Get your twinkies ready.
WackySwacky
2021-10-02 13:58:42 +0000 UTCFor funny movie, should choose Young Frankenstein. It isn't a spooky movie, but a fun comedy parody on Frankenstein.
Game Wizard001
2021-10-02 13:57:49 +0000 UTCAAWIL is by far the most classic and best of this list. But I guess I'm old.
SaucyCircus
2021-10-02 13:57:09 +0000 UTCYeah. I rewatched it earlier this year for the Matt Gourley and Paul Rust podcast. That transformation scene is still pretty impressive.
Joe Blankenship
2021-10-02 13:56:11 +0000 UTCSo sad to see the classic AWL in last place. It's 40th anniversary is this year. There is a good reason it is still remembered and revered.
Bruce Bromley
2021-10-02 13:54:05 +0000 UTCPlease watch knives out!!
Timothy O'Hara
2021-10-02 13:42:01 +0000 UTCI've seen all of these and voted for T&D. I love Knives Out, but it's not a horror, I have fond childhood memories of Werewolves of London (ahoooo) but it's not that funny. I really like Zombieland but I think T&D is funnier and I like voting for the underdog. Everyone watched Zombieland, most people I mention T&D to have no idea what I'm talking about.
Keith Jones
2021-10-02 13:40:45 +0000 UTCI don't think Cloverfield is needed at all to see 10 Cloverfield Lane but I agree that "10" was a really good movie.

2021-10-02 13:39:49 +0000 UTCKnives Out not scary but the best one on the list
Tiger Chu
2021-10-02 13:39:08 +0000 UTCKnives Out isn't a scary movie but it is great GREAT storytelling.
Kevin Maguire
2021-10-02 13:39:04 +0000 UTCyes, 3 if you like.
Paul Gibbons
2021-10-02 13:36:44 +0000 UTCZombieland 1 a 2
Radek Nohejl
2021-10-02 13:35:10 +0000 UTCSo idk what others opinions are but for under-rated horror movies I'd like to suggest 10 Cloverfield Lane. You should probably see Cloverfield first but it's not really necessary, and the less said about the 3rd one, the better, but 10 had a wonderful minamalist cast with a really strong female lead which i love in a horror movie.
Jordan Love
2021-10-02 13:34:39 +0000 UTCKnives Out is amazing. You should do it, but not a Natmare.
MrHolbyta
2021-10-02 13:33:04 +0000 UTCKnives Out is an amazing movie and you should watch it, but it's not a scary/Natmare type movie. It's more of a straight-up mystery movie.
Troy B.
2021-10-02 13:28:45 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale followed by Cabin In the Woods.
Jordan Love
2021-10-02 13:28:22 +0000 UTCKnives Out should be removed from the poll as it doesn’t fit the genre and its votes applied to Tucker and Dale (if it was better known I’m sure it would win this poll). I would actually love to know what percentage of people who have seen T&D as well as Zombieland voted for T&D
James Hadden
2021-10-02 13:24:03 +0000 UTCI would recommend replacing Knives Out with Ready or Not. It's brilliant, and Knives Out doesn't qualify as horror.
Frankie Crews
2021-10-02 13:21:56 +0000 UTCWell this is no good as I want to vote for all of them…..

2021-10-02 13:15:19 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale for sure!
Nathan Swapp
2021-10-02 13:14:34 +0000 UTCKnives Out is a great movie Nat, but it doesn't belong on a "scary" movie list. Nor does it belong on a "funny" movie list. It's a whodunit mystery. It should certainly go on your view list in the future, but it should be disqualified from this poll.
Brian Jones
2021-10-02 13:13:15 +0000 UTCSomeone sounds like they’re still butt-hurt over The Last Jedi 😂
Nick of Time
2021-10-02 13:12:55 +0000 UTCHave we watched anything with Emma Stone yet? She's great in Zombieland, and especially great in Easy A.

2021-10-02 13:12:55 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t say knives out is scary or horror movie. But it’s by far the best out of these I’d say

2021-10-02 13:09:53 +0000 UTCKnives out is probably the best written movie here, but like others are saying, it's not really horror/spooky. Zombieland is great too.

2021-10-02 13:09:32 +0000 UTCI agree, but shouldn’t she at least see Evil Dead 2 first?

2021-10-02 13:09:15 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale vs Evil is the funniest one on this list. Plus, we all know how much Nat loves Alan Tudyk.
Andrew Nyberg
2021-10-02 13:08:55 +0000 UTCSwap Knives Out for either Cabin in the Woods Funny/scary or Army of Darkness.

2021-10-02 13:07:54 +0000 UTCKnives out? I would never watch this movie. Created by one of the most hack director's in hollywood today.

2021-10-02 13:07:50 +0000 UTCIt's a bummer that Tucker and Dale which is the funniest of these won't win, just because it's probably less known. It's kinda sad films like it won't win these polls because too many people will only vote for super well known popular films...oh well, that's just the way things are I guess. *Shrug*

2021-10-02 13:07:35 +0000 UTCHappy Saturday, Natalie! 😊 It was a tough decision between "Knives Out" and "Zombieland" for this one. LOL! Have a great day & rest of the weekend! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

2021-10-02 13:07:35 +0000 UTCI would love to see her watch this film, however I'm pretty sure it's on a list of banned films 😂(spiders haha)

2021-10-02 13:07:02 +0000 UTCKnives out is a Whodunit type movie so not scary or funny. It's awesome and my favorite out of the list but not the genre you're looking for

2021-10-02 13:05:52 +0000 UTCArmy of darkness dc is the horror/comedy that you should watch

2021-10-02 13:05:13 +0000 UTCNat hates zombies and yet we have a movie in the list with that exact thing in the title lol people can be cruel sry Nat but this could be a landslide 😅
Ian
2021-10-02 13:04:42 +0000 UTCKnives Out is arguably the best movie on the list, but it’s not really all that funny or scary. Zombieland gets my vote. It’s great. Hilarious and action packed with more zombies than you can shake a boomstick at.

2021-10-02 13:04:30 +0000 UTCI’d swap out Knives Out which has no horror elements for something like Monster Squad or Fright Night (either version of it)
djKENTO
2021-10-02 13:04:29 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale is so underestimated and I think less known than the others, this film deserves to be watched. I hope you're fine Nat!

2021-10-02 13:04:08 +0000 UTCDefinitely Knives Out! Although not necessarily scary, it’s hilariously funny & my favourite movie of all time! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend Nat😁

2021-10-02 13:03:38 +0000 UTCEight Legged Freaks is a pretty good funny/scary movie.
Tom
2021-10-02 13:03:36 +0000 UTCHey Natalie, a movie I highly recommend thats not Halloween themed (maybe when October is done) 'a silent voice'. you've enjoyed animated movies so far and Japanese animated films are unparalleled. They usually tackle mental health really well and this is a fantastic example.
Raymond Tleimat
2021-10-02 13:03:24 +0000 UTCI would vote Knives out over Zombieland.
Navjot Singh
2021-10-02 13:02:56 +0000 UTCFuck, can we choose two options?))))
Hrayr Azizyan
2021-10-02 13:02:32 +0000 UTCTucker and Dale should be an interlude between REALLY scary movies I think. So as long as it’s picked eventually I think that’ll be good for her mental health haha
RationallySassy
2021-10-02 13:02:29 +0000 UTCKnives Out isn't a scary movie. It's a whodunnit Agatha Christie kinda story. There are no horror elements.
