And Phil Jackson, a basketball coach, was known to give his players different books in the beginning of the season for guidance/motivation.

I never thought you could take a show that was both absurdist *and* wholesome and pull it off in a natural or convincing way, yet here we have it. Ted Lasso makes me want to be a better version of myself, and it's become my go to show when I am feeling sad or down. I am very excited to watch her learn about & fall in love with all of the characters that I've fell in love with so long ago. The truth is(And the brilliance of the show) is it isn't just Ted Lasso. Each character has depth and is lovely in their own way. I'm so happy she is doing this and I am also so happy there are commenters how are being encouraged to jump in as well. It's a pretty great ride.

2021-10-04 17:07:11 +0000 UTCto answer your question about soccer tactics, the show does not represent the sport very well. and nates suggestion while revelatory to Ted is a pretty common setup in the sport (false 9) and wouldn't be a "play" as soccer is a fluid sport and "plays" don't really work the same way.
