Ha, ha, plot twist! To think that the name of the movie song was right in front of us the whole time! This is admittedly kind of a face-palm moment, but I’m sure we’ll all look back on this and laugh together. As this scene unfolded, I was reminded of how this same type of situation played out between Lincoln and Lynn during Luna’s prom. Back then, Lincoln, too, expressed doubt that no one would ever accept or support this type of relationship between him and Lynn. And Lynn reassured him that she didn’t need anyone else’s approval – only Lincoln’s. But my, how the tables have turned! Now Lincoln is the one utilizing Lynn’s confidence and encouragement, using them to reassure Lynn to forget about what the world will think of their union. He has such a way with words, they don’t call him the Man with the Plan for nothing! I’m so proud of Lincoln - he really has come such a long way since then.
