2022-07-18 22:29:47 +0000 UTCThis show gets a lot of criticism but you have to give it to them for how drug addiction is portrayed. As someone who also has witnessed addiction in family, this is so accurate and real, but I love how they are still empathetic to the characters without excusing the behavior too. I think this episode along with Jules' and some episodes in season 2 are really tough to watch as someone with proximity to addiction, bc it hits so close to home, so remember to take care of yourself too.

2022-07-18 17:54:05 +0000 UTCI worked as a substance use therapist for a couple years and this episode was one of the most powerful hours of television I have ever seen. Such an authentic representation of what the sponsor sponsee relationship can look like. By far my favorite episode of the show.
