I get the feeling parents like Nat's couldn't care less if the sex was absolutely safe and consensual. They just are horrified at the idea of sex. But that's just me talking from my experience with people that have a lot of very hard rules about sex.

Mike1-19

Nat...not really sure your mom was a hundred percent right with all the rules. Right reasons obviously, protect the kids from doing dumb things and so on. Just sounds reallllly stressful to try and follow all those rules.

Mike1-19

what?

Rekkphe

I found it hillarious when you said Tyler would find it weird if you went out looking like that without your ring, and my brain was like, I would look at your weird to I if you went out dressed like your in the 80s. Lol

Lana Hands

The Patreon Pitches are just getting cringey-er and cringey-er, huh..........

NawDood

lol, my dad always poked fun at the dinner table if/when I had a girl in my bedroom with the door closed but he never tried to stop me. Stepmom on the other hand wouldn't allow it. xD Good times.

Logan Kerlee

Ok I have a limited series recommendation: Station Eleven on HBO Max. Hard to describe but so resonant.

Shawn E Mercado

The knock-off Schwarzenegger Russian always amuses me. He really does look kinda like if his character in Red Heat was 'real'. Also, yeah... agreed on Hopper with Mike. He was ready and willing to be nice, and just ask them to just maybe back it off a little, but Mike had to try and show off and act up to Hopper's face. I mean, yeah, kinda tracks for a 13yr old boy, especially in the 80s I guess. (I mean, ok, I was that age in the early 90s, but I was kinda more like Will, just playing video games and out playing still with friends; going out on our bikes and stuff).

Misty Crom

I don't agree with how Hopper handled the situation, but his anger and frustration is definitely justified - s3 Mike is a little shit.

Sean Irvin

honestly teenage mike is kind of an asshole so I'm on Hopp's side too lol

Cayce Carson

While there are similarities to Cabin in the Woods, that film was shot in 2009 and the studio shelved it for nearly 3 years. This was shot a year later. Fun fact Cabin in the Woods was written and directed by the guy who made DareDevil season 1.

djKENTO

Peas count

Ryan

"Even though it's not super horrific.." Oh, Nat my friend boy do you have a storm comin'. This season and next get drastically more horrific but I don't want to scare you. ;)

Trinity Davis

Also, I would like to add if this hasn't been yet, but Nancy was sneaking out of Joyce's house when were leaving, and she left with Jonathan after sneaking out, so Joyce actually doesn't know!!

covykins

Not to mention Arthur Harrow from Moon Knight's real life daughter

Ed Green

Nancy and Jonathan are a year younger than Steve and Billy.

Ed Green

By 10th grade I was allowed to have girlfriends sleepover. I feel like a lot of parents don't care. If you're wearing protection not really much to protest.

Myles Away

Also Billy is over 18+ in this season I do believe, notice the tattoo he has. He was a senior when they moves to Hawkins he was in the same graduating class as Nancy, Steve, Johnathan

devin flynn

I bet this one will be your favorite season hands down.

devin flynn

Peas count! They're green!

Michael G. Munz

That is a lot of direct out loud opinion after she called you her little golden gram

blkmage

Dang. It might be my favorite season

Dante

I’m surprised you haven’t come to this realization through talking to others but your mom was definitely overly protective of you with boys. Obviously you have to set some boundaries and check in but pretty much all of the girlfriends parents that I had in high school let us hang out along together without bothering us too much. We regularly had sleepovers. To each their own of course but I think it’s way more prevalent than you realize.

Travis

Please don't talk about Ted that way ;) lol

ted

Please welcome the newest addition to the "Scooby Gang" - Robin Buckley (aka Kill Bill-The Bride's real life daughter LOL!)

Alan Felicia

Nat's eye roll every time they show Billy & Mrs Wheeler = Outstanding! LOL!

Alan Felicia

Wow they really ratcheted up the ‘80s pop culture in this one. I’ve thought about suggesting Cheers for a reaction but decided against because 1)nothing older than 10 years is going to win a poll 2) it would be by far the longest show to get a reaction, and now 3) she’s already seen it.

Ben Wheeler

Don't know if you saw but when it came back to hawkins from Russia it was "one year later"

Eric Wallace

Mrs. Miller is 🔥

Alucard

in case you were wondering the monster you saw was the piece of the mind flayer that was inside of Will. El sealed the monster in the upside down but the part that was inside Will was still alive in the real world which is why Will also has a connection to it as you see in the movie scene

idcjayyy

leave mrs miller alone she can dream lol

Psychotic Panda

so excited to see you start this season! i know for a lot of ppl it's not their favorite but i found it to be so cinematically beautiful and fun and i cant wait to see your thoughts on it.

ariel

I took a post WW2 History class in college, and this must have been probably 2006 if I remember correctly. So everyone in the class would have been around my age, born in the early to mid-80s so we were all "end of Cold War" babies. I remember that from the mid-90s up until the mid 2000s, the Russians were a joke to all of us. Until I took that class, because the professor was a guy who lived in the USSR from the '50s to the early '80s. He was constantly like "You guys don't know how lucky you are, both to have been born here and to be living in a post-Cold War world." His personal recollections of what life was like In the USSR, and what he told us about the '80s and how close we came a couple times to actual nuclear exchange... Plus his father bringing home military rations leftover from World War II lend lease that the family had to eat sometime in the 1970s.... It was just wild.

Caomhan84

My dad watching this episode with me a couple of years ago. The kids build Cerebro, and Dustin says, "Pretty impressive, huh?" My dad, a CB & ham radio guy: "No. That looks like crap."

Kevin Mowery

Just to clarify, because you seem to have missed it: Nancy snuck out Jonathan's window in the morning, implying that Joyce wasn't allowing her to spend the night. Joyce is permissive (with Jonathan), but not to the extent you think.

Allan Rumberger

We used to play a game walking to and from school where someone would yell "It's the Russians!" and everyone would have to hit the dirt and the last one to do it was dead meat. Yeah, it was kinda on our minds a lot. It's hard to even get back into that mindset; the War on Terror (which Nat will have grown up in) was similar in that there was an omnipresent enemy, but the Cold War was different in that the Soviets were thought (wrongly, it turns out) to be roughly equally powerful to America. They were everything the terrorists were in the 2000s, only with nukes and a real military.

Allan Rumberger

I didn't like season 3 the first time I watched it, but my appreciation of it has grown with each rewatch. It's a good homage to the mid-80's action flicks like Red Dawn, Commando, etc.

Caomhan84

YESSS!!! S3 is peak 80s vibes imo. The summer vibe, colors, outfits and the sets! Everything is on point. Also something to consider: the finale has an end credit scene. I think it’s best if you don’t watch it as it contains a spoiler for season 4 and would make your reaction to the season much better. Maybe you could put a little poll on Patreon deciding if you should watch it or not. This season is so good. Can’t wait for the following reactions!

Len

The scene with the Russians at the beginning is set between seasons one and two. It's in June 1984, season two is October/November '84 and season three is June/July 1985 (which is funny since one of the toys El controls is the Transformer Ultra Magnus who wasn't released until 1986)>

Lee Gannon

"Ok. This is how we're portraying the Russians". Yeah, in the 80s the Russians were definitely portrayed that way. They were "The Evil Empire" and described that way in movies and the media. The cold war was a very nervous time to live in.

TGrimace

Have to wait until later in the season to say what I want regarding Billy.

adrianR31

Never really cared for this season, but 1 down 7 go until we get back to the good stuff.

Ryan

YAY!!! I can't wait to watch this when I get home. Been really looking forward to you watching more Stranger Things!

Jenn Rose

The best season in my opinion

Tiger Chu

Season 3 is really good! I'm so excited!

Ana Fox

YESSS! I've been waiting days for this. This season is SO good. The style, the writing, the characters, everything. I'm so excited to watch it with you!

Ashton Knapp

Happy Things Thursday Nat. Hope you had an awesome day yesterday. Love your cool Libra constellation shirt 🤗 Looking forward to heading back to Hawkins. I'm happy to be a crispy little cereal buddy 😊 The situation in town hasn't improved Nat. It's still off your list of places to live 😂 Ha ha your total disdain towards Billy was entertaining. We'll see what kind of creature has got hold of him next time. Thanks for a really fun reaction today Nat 💛

Darryl Low

Hell yeah! So ready for this!
