I've decided I'm going to commit to just wrapping up Season 3 and getting deep into House of the Dragon next week. I just figured it was cleaner this way. Next week, I'm going to heavily focus on HOTD to power through it faster :)

2022-10-25 12:14:37 +0000 UTCYou threw everybody into a panic Nat ha ha. Happy Monday, and hope you enjoyed your pumpkin weekend π This show is definitely getting creepier and creepier. The fast paced music towards the end when the bodies were pulled in by the flayer reminded me a lot of the score for an 80s documentary film called KOYAANISQATSI, which means life out of balance, or life disintegrating. Very apt. And the moment where EL puts on her blindfold and pulls it tight, definitely looks like a homage to 1985's Rambo. Stallone puts on his bandana the exact same way, shot from behind. I absolutely love the lighting in this, and your Werewolf video the other day. It looks incredible Nat. Thanks for a really great reaction today Nat. Look forward to finishing up this season with you this week π

I lived off of those and free refills for a summer or two in the early 90s, Gen X latch key kid lol. I bought one the other day, it was like 8 bucks and it sucked. But back then it was awesome, I got 10 bucks allowance for chores, after 5 for some comic books or saved for a specific comic, I still had 3 for a matinee, 1.06 for a Whopper (shared refills and a water cup with friends), 45Β’ for a Snickers at the Chinese market by the theater. And if you were slick you could maybe get two movies for the price of one, especially if you had some quarters to spend on Mortal Kombat until an opportune moment between movies presented itself.

2022-10-25 05:38:26 +0000 UTCthe end of this episode messed me up when i first saw it, especially since its shown those poor people all were still conscious when under his control, season 3 definitely has some issues, but man does it work at making the mind flayer and the whole upsidedown much more interesting, i love the idea that Hawkins is where the wall is thinnest which is why its all happening here, something that till this point hadnt been explained, and im also they set up a lot more than i remembered for season 4, you're gonna love it EDIT: also Billy's actor nailed this performance, somehow massively intimidating while at the same time (with that tear) you can see the terror under the flayer's mask
