I’ve enjoyed a lot of your reactions to previous shows/movies, but I was SO pumped when I heard you were finally taking on Stranger Things since it’s my all-time favourite show. Even though I’ve seen it many times now, seeing your reaction, especially in this episode, was really special. Your genuineness and ability to wear your heart on your sleeve is rare and really comes through. I felt similarly when watching it for the first time. To some degree, it hits even harder on repeat viewings (not only this ep. but the whole show). I think you really hit the nail on the head in your overall thoughts on the season. This show really hits different because of how wholesome, hopeful, and nostalgic it is. It also virtually every genre rolled into one - from action, to comedy, to drama, to horror. One scene can make me laugh out loud and the next feel genuinely emotionally devastated. What the Duffers and the entire cast and crew have managed to capture in this series is truly magical and I’m just grateful we get 5 seasons of it. I’m so thrilled that you’ll be diving into S4 soon. I’ve loved every season and can’t choose which is my favourite, but I’ll say S4 has some amazing moments that I can’t wait for you to discover. If I’m honest, I’m worried that you’ll get spoiled on some of them, but I trust that you’ve learned how to avoid those as best as possible by now. :) Looking forward to sharing in your experience on this latest step in your ST journey soon!

2022-11-02 20:22:04 +0000 UTCThis season ending was definitely heavy. It did an amazing job at showing tension and growth within each of these characters. One thing that I'm sure others have pointed out to you is, since season one, Hopper has run around with a blue hair tie around his wrist that belonged to his daughter for the longest time, in moments of comfort and need, he would alway reach for it. In season three, You can see that Eleven has the blue hair tie now. In the last episode where they finally reunite, when Hopper talks to El, you can see him instinctively grab for it while holding her hand, that is the moment you really notice how much he cares for Eleven, when he has past down something that has so much sentimental value to her. I also think that Dacre gave such an amazing performance during his time on the show, and was sad to see his character go, not because I care for Billy, though he is a tortured individual, he still an asshole lol. But because Dacre is just incredible at bringing that character to life, I would've loved to see more of him. Can't wait to see your continuing journey at Hawkins!

Kinda just didn't watch it as it came out for... no reason at-all, and then when you started with S1... decided to watch through them all with you. I'm sure there was another moment in the mid-credit bit when I watched it... might be misremembering though. Also, yeah, I'm gonna miss Alexei, too. Alexei having learned a reasonable amount of English would be a lot of fun. One character I am glad we'll be seeing again next season though, is Keith. You've gotta love Keith. I don't know if I want him pulled in to things, or to remain oblivious.

2022-10-26 18:15:46 +0000 UTCThe only thing I will really say about season 4 is that I think you should be prepared that it's quite a commitment. The episodes are far longer, and they weave a lot more plot together. It's like season 3 on steroids. So just prepare yourself for that. If you thought that season 3 meandered in the beginning before they brought it around at the end, season 4 is that times two. They were really ambitious with it.

Dusty's actor has sung on Broadway so they wanted to work that into the show to show that skillset off. He performed on Broadway starting around 9 years old. Fourth Season is by far the best of the seasons in my opinion. 3rd is second best, 1st is third and 2nd season comes in last. Second season just seemed like a lot of filler. Part of me always wished they had a little more each season, at the beginning, showing more of their lives between seasons. We get a bit of a tease of what they have been up to but usually things get started early enough that we dont get enough of their happy times.

You are going to catch SO many more subtleties & callbacks to past seasons when you watch S4 because the previous 3 seasons are so fresh in your mind. The Duffer Bros, and the cast to a lesser degree, really knew what they were doing and used 3 previous seasons to set-up S4 SO WELL! I caught SO MANY things while re-watching S1-S3 with you that I had forgotten or didn't really think about when I first watched S4! Dacre Montgomery's incredible performance this season is actually a perfect example of that (someone or something from the previous 3 seasons that adds SO MUCH emotional & story depth and detail to multiple different parts of S4). It carries over & makes a huge difference (NO SPOILERS, don't worry), as do many other things from S1-S3. S4 really is the best since S1 (it's hard to top the one that started it all. You are going to LOVE IT!! S4 and S1 are 1a & 1b, IMO. Then I'd rate S3 as the next best and S2 as the weakest. SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE! S4 HERE WE COME!
