Hi Nat, loved watching your reaction to the it series, fun fact: i dont know if you picked up on this, but the turtle that pops up a bit in both movies, the lego one from the first movie and the one in bills flashback, that turtle is another entity like pennywise, but he is an embodiment of everything that pennywise isnt.

Dylan

what a weird comment dude..

Rhys

it def has pacing problems and some writing issues (mainly Bills wife, she is pointless why is she in here lol), but other than that the performances and visuals are fantastic

Rhys

Will reaction in a bikini be in the poll?

fanofactionflicks

That's fair. Also, when I said very young, I meant that I was 6 or so at the time. Granted, if I'd of watched the new version then I'd be just as scared I'm guessing. Still though, I feel that Curry's Pennywise was scarier.

Logan Kerlee

By contrast I don't find the 1990 version scary at all, perhaps because I wtched it at 17 after reading the book at 15. I feel Tim Curry completely missed the point of what makes Pennywise scary by portraying him as not at all enticing to young children

Ed Green

It certainly would be for me, most overrated horror movie since Scream.

Richard Maurer

M. Knight Shyamalan's Avatar is the definitive version of the Avatar story. Sorry, I love saying that to Avatar fans, the looks of anger and disgust on their little faces are priceless.

Richard Maurer

That would be the Ultimate Punishment xD jesus

YannickWega

If you are looking for a BAD movie to react to as a punishment, there is the live action Avatar movie

Eric Thompson

I think a great punishment would be watching The Conjuring lol

Jenna

And about the "you can afford it" line.

Rosanne Stewart

Please watch the Crown.

LionBro

i'm glad you liked this movie. this gets hate for whatever reason. i think initially a loud minority of fans didn't like it and it just caught on to say it's a bad movie. i loved both of them.

Jack Burton

you should check out all quirt on the western front. i really enjoyed it but im not sure if it would still be as likeable if youre not a history buff but my dad did seem to enjoy it and my sister cried a fair amount another good thing about this fill that it doesn't glorify war and basically just shows you how terrible it is. but overall good film 100 percent recommend

lwazi

That’s not entirely true, I saw Split before seeing Unbreakable and I understood it but I guess I knew enough about it though but Split made me want to see it.

Annie519

god i forgot how much the last half hour of this movie breaks me every time, it's mostly bc of richie and eddie 🥲🥲

alejandro

Yes! I 100% agree! Please keep including Coraline in future polls, especially if it's an animation poll! It's a GREAT watch at ANY time of the year, but it definitely has a "spooky" ambiance to it. That said, it's not a "Halloween movie." It's just a great film to watch near Halloween, even moreso than "Nightmare Before Christmas" because that's got more Christmas than Halloween in it.

Jeff E

lmao, I got that. I personally enjoyed the ending of the original. That's probably just because I watched it as a kid, though.

Logan Kerlee

This movie isn't bad. It isn't nearly as good as the original film version's conclusion. Then again, I'm super biased because I was TERRIFIED of the original because I watched that version when I was very young. This movie, like the first wasn't super scary for me. I'm older and of course I knew the story but eh.. the original was so much scarier. I'm NOT recommending that anyone watches that version though. It really isn't worth it. xD As for punishments.. I don't know, dude. It'd be cool if we could bank it for sometime in the future. Like, say, if/when a terrible but fun movie comes out that you're NOT wanting to watch we can opt in and demand that you do. I don't know, that sounds good to me.

Logan Kerlee

I wont lie, I did like this rewatch a lot better than I did seeing it in theatres, similar to Multiverse of Madness, my own expectations made it a little disappointing, but on this rewatch I was able to appreciate it more! I hope Coraline is still in your future as even an animated movie (:

Julia

So this movie came out when I was still working at a movie theatre and one time, during theatre checks, I saw that this college kid in the second row was just scrolling through his phone on full brightness. The guys face was lit up like a lighthouse; not paying attention the the movie at all. So I go over (I had to lean down to talk to him because the second row was still on ground level) and I say to him "Put your phone away." The guy looks up just at the part in the apartment when the old lady leaps out shrieking from the back and this guy screamed SO LOUD. He jumps out of his chair, his phone almost goes flying, it was hilarious.

CheeseRepair

Did you not know that was Stephen King in the store? That was the point of the joke about the endings.

Christopher Gray

Just so you know, "Beep beep, Richie" is from the book. It was basically their way of telling him to shut up.

Rosanne Stewart

You cant really do split without doing unbreakable first.

jamie jones

You need to watch Barry! Bill Hader is a genius!

Cédric Tremblay

in the first movie, after the boys help her clean the bloody bathroom beverly recites the poem to bill. he doesn't understand what she's talking about and asks about her interest in poetry. it's a little moment that older bev could easily forget

Ariana Mitchell

The reason for Pennywise's constant drooling are the prosthetic teeth that Bill Skarsgård wore. Since Pennywise's primary motivation is hunger they thought that it was fitting so they opted not to do anything about it

sammi

Big Trouble In Little China would be a ton of fun for Nat.

Skizane

There was so much hate for this on the poll when it was winning. People really get upset when their favorite movie on a poll isn't winning.

Jack Burton

I know this wasn't as well received as Chapter 1 but the more times I rewatch this the better it is IMO.

Boomcity

Or The Cave.

Boomcity

Or Reanimator?

Sean Maher

Ooh yes, or Braindead 😃

Opti_Frog

An appropriate punishment might be watching an extra gross movie Perhaps Hellraiser?

Nathaniel Castle

I like this despite the silly moments, I didn't find it scary at all but I thought the physiological aspects of the film were very well done. Poor Bill was tormented the most and had probably the hardest past to overcome, well him and Bev. I feel like he tormented Bill the most was because he was the leader, he was the glue, it's because of him that they even went into the house again. I really enjoy the chemistry and bond between Eddie and Richie, I love they are always taking digs at each other but it's not mean, they are just having fun. I like both Eddie and Richie's arcs, they both start out being pretty cowardly, constantly wanting to leave but really comes around in the end, I mean it's Richie that gives Eddie that motivational speech. The cast was spot on, I remember when the first film came out and it was announced that a second would be made I immediately thought of Jessica Chastan as Bev and of course she was great. The stand outs for me besides Bill were Bill Hader and Jame McAvoy, man they put everything into this, I really felt every emotion from both of them! When Bill had to drown Georgie I felt that and when he's on the phone after the kid died and he said he was going to go alone I also thought he was so good and James did great with the stuttering and I'm sure it wasn't easy to do it along with using an American accent, he's really from Scottland and has a pretty strong accent. I think really the only complaints I have is I thought adult Bev and Ben didn't really have any chemistry, I felt like they really tried but I just wasn't feeling it, she had way more chemistry with Bill then Ben but to be fare James and Jessica have worked together quite a few times but still I felt that chemistry between them way more. I thought Ben probably was the weakest from the cast, he wasn't bad but he just didn't have as much juicy material to work with, nothing really happened to him as much as the others. And another issue I had was I don't even know why they made Bill married, she adds nothing, I don't know about the book but the original movie she plays a much bigger role and it felt like a waste here. And yeah the CGI is not great, in my opinion they just look silly. Now that your watching more with James McAvoy I HIGHLY recommend checking out his other work, he is a phenomenal and very underrated actor, one of my favorite actors in fact and some films I would suggest are Split, Atonement, The Last King Of Scotland and Wanted just to name a few. I believe you've watched the X-Men prequels which he's in and he always is great in that too especially Days Of Future Past!

Annie519

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Ed Green

watching a horror movie with you dressed as Pennywise would be funny, perfect for Halloween lol. This movie's casting was just perfect, each of the adults looked so much like their child counterpart. The movie itself was a lil long-winded, almost a 3 hour long horror movie, so I understand why some people don't like it as much as the first. Plus, theirs something about those kids, the era, nostalgia and sense of adventure from the first one, that isn't fully recaptured in the second one. All in all, I still enjoy this film.

Noctis

Bad movie reaction you say? Have you seen The Happening?

Keith Jacobsen

It's a fun bad movie, though. (Granted, I was tipsy when I did my reaction to it, so I may have had a biased experience!) :D

Michael G. Munz

Thanks for sharing, I think you did really well with your challenge, I think you noticed when all the jump scares were coming. I think you deserve a reward!!!

Baron

I’ve been dying for a good slasher move reaction!!

BettleBug

Indeed, and let's be glad the films showed more restraint than the novel did, because in the novel Bill and Beverly have sex before she knows Ben wrote the poem. And when the kids are trying to find their way out of the sewers after fighting Pennywise the first time, young Beverly has sex with all six of the boys in turn to somehow bring them back together to find their way out. Stephen King is a twisted dude.

Skizane

We must make Nat watch Maximum Overdrive. Someone else here thought of it, I'm just giving it more screen space. It would be the perfect movie for Nat, she'd laugh her head off.

Skizane

This is the correct answer. No more discussion is necessary. Maximum Overdrive would be the absolute perfect movie for Nat to watch. She'd laugh her head off through the entire thing.

Skizane

That is also true

Aaron Chandler

Loved this movie! Punishment? Definitely costume up like Wonder Woman (DC) or Capt. Marvel (MCU). Doesn’t matter what movie. 😂

Rene Alvarez

oh also, Beverly didn’t forget that the note was from Ben, she never knew. She assumed it was from Bill because she liked Bill and Ben was too scared to tell her.

djKENTO

Maximum Overdrive was directed by a huge bag of cocaine that had taken up residence in Stephen King's body

BigHeadWeb

Scared of caving and cave diving? Soooo we’re all voting for The Descent next year right?

djKENTO

This was a great reaction to It chapter Two. I think a bad movie watch would be great like Miami Connection, a terrible but fun movie

Ernesto

FUN TRIVIA: The chubby guy you thought was adult Ben is actually the actor who played Young Ben in the 1990 mini-series!

Michael Mammano-Cheydleur

If reacting to a bad movie is the punishment choice then I think it's only fitting that movie is Maximum Overdrive. Because not only is it a Stephen King movie, not only is it bad, but it was the only adaptation directed by King himself. I think it would be poetic.

Aaron Chandler

It would be a fitting tribute after this movie to people who take pride in 'always being losers'.

Ed Green

You could do Halloween next, since you mentioned it in the beginning. Or maybe a zombie film. Really enjoyed this reaction. This one is pretty criticized the most out of the two. I personally liked both films, glad you liked this one too. There’s a few cameos in the film you didn’t know. Like the scene with Ben in the beginning, when you thought the other guy was Ben. Well, you right! He played young Ben in the original IT tv films. Stephen King was the shop owner that sold Bill the bike. Also the line thrown around in the film “hated the ending” is a reference about how people hated the ending of the book. Andy Muschietti the director was in the background in the pharmacy.

NFXx

I think a great punishment movie would be It Follows (2014). Try not to have jump scares during that movie lol. Or Malignant (2021). Or Barbarian (2022). Either one of those would be a riot.

JediLounger

His funniest line is that he didn't like the ending, given how common a complaint that is about the book (and which is why it's a running gag in this movie).

Ed Green

I like that chair's acting, it's very subtle.

Mannygogou

Hold a poll of all the movies that have come in last place in your polls and then watch the loser from that poll.

Essero Eson

Hey Nat! A punishment for you would be a treat for me if you would react to the 2nd movie of John Carpenter's apocalypse trilogy, "Prince of Darkness". I feel Arachnophobia would just be too much for you.

Mastervodo

Happy Thursday Nat. I watched this movie when it first came out and I found it a little long, but it flowed better this time around, and I really enjoyed your reaction. I'm with you on caving and cramped spaces Nat. I go into panic mode just thinking about them. Don't ever watch The Descent Nat. It made me feel ill 😬 "I don't need any more human spider heads" 😊 Your favourite Nat, and I loved how they used the follow up line from The Thing too ha ha. We should ask you to watch Arachnophobia or a zombie movie for failing your challenge, but that would give you nightmares for months 😂 Maybe a drinking reaction to one of the top 10 worst movies ever made he he 😂 Thanks for a great video today Nat, and as always thanks for all your amazing work this week. Have a brilliant weekend, whatever you're up to for Halloween 🎃💛

Darryl Low

Didn't realize Stephen King was in this as the used bike salesman!

Christopher Boscarino

I like this movie more each time I watch it tbh. I think it gets a lot of undeserved hate. Just the visuals alone throughout are incredible.

Dante

Just what I needed on my day off! I've got my drink, I've got my snack and I'm ready for the movie! Happy Thursday! :D

Zeliodes

Happy Thursday, Natalie! 😊 I've been looking forward to this one! I'm probably one of very few that really likes this movie. The casting for the Adult Losers was perfect. Especially Bill Hader as Adult Richie. Bill Skarsgård once again does a great job as Pennywise. I remember when James McAvoy was announced to play Adult Bill I was nervous about how he was going to sound with the stutter, because I remember that Bill's stutter comes back after he gets the call from Mike. And I think that James McAvoy nailed it. Fun Fact: The guy that Adult Ben is having a meeting with on the computer before he gets the call is the same actor that played Young Ben in the 1990 mini-series. That was a nice cameo. And I loved the Stephen King cameo with Bill in the pawn shop. Even though I know it's coming, Eddie's death is always hard to watch. I liked how in the end they ended up keeping their memories about everything that happened in Derry after they left. While in the book and original mini-series, their memories faded after they left Derry. I'm definitely going to watch this here shortly, and maybe again this evening. Have a great day today, and a great Halloween weekend! 🎃 Stay Golden! 💛
