I would love it if Nat reacted to it, despite that meaning going through Alien 3 and bursting the bubble of the first two. The fourth has a funky vibe to it that I adore. I love the franchise, despite loving some way more than others.

2022-12-06 19:37:51 +0000 UTCHaven’t watched all of it yet but i find it funny that the people who didn’t watch the seasons when it first came out are people who I see most complaining about it being longer episodes… people who watched the show and waited almost 3 years for the new season to come out are satisfied with the long episodes, I would’ve been pissed if they didn’t give us that much tbh

Cant wait! 2nd- love the subtle Easter Egg as one of the soldiers attacking Dr. Brenner's bunker is Named Corporal Hicks! LOL! The scene was (I think) right after Hopper & company found several containers of creatures which (IMO) a throwback to Aliens (which came out in 1986).

Let me try and clear up your confusion: Episode 7 - remove all scenes set in Russia Episode 8 - remove all scenes set in Russia Episode 8 - add the first 2 scenes set in Russia from episode 7 Episode 9 - add the third scene set in Russia from episode 7, and all the scenes set in Russia from episode 8 Episode 9 - end the episode at the 58:33 mark, when the music crescendos Episode 10 - everything after that moment PS Watching the MCU in chronological order can help with empathy. Not for everyone but it's nice to have that option.

They could have still had their representation AND had her a Steve be a thing, like they initially had started in the early part of Season 3, before the actors just decided, nah we want to go this other way. Just my 2 cents, but meh they've made sure that ship sank, especially with the Steve/Nancy old flame rekindle thing.

That's why EP 7-9 were released as Season 4 Part 2. Jurassic Park reference? That movie as made in the 90s, this is an 80s series referencing movies from then. Robin is definitely gay. She said so when her and Steve were sitting on the floor of the bathroom together.

Take out all the Russian scenes from episode 8 and replace them with the first 2 Russian scenes from episode 7, making episode 8 1h23. Add the last Russian scene from episode 7 and all the Russian scenes from episode 8 to episode 9, then end that in the middle of what as it stands is the 59th minute of episode 9 on Netflix, at a specific moment. Then have everything after that be episode 10.

I'm personally happy you're taking time with it instead of burning out on the show...it would take away from the finale, which I'm sure none of us would want.

2022-12-05 22:33:48 +0000 UTCThe roller skating rink was very similar to the scene in Carrie. She's on a date with a guy and is put center stage to be humiliated in front of a lot of people. Just with a milkshake instead of a bucket of pig blood (even some of the spinning lights and them all pointing and laughing was similar to how the scene in the movie plays out). It also really brings up the question that, if she did have her powers, would she do what Carrie did and start killing everyone. Especially after that beginning scene in the premiere.

They love each other so much in real life and they seem so close. Matthew Modine was even heartbroken acting in some of these scenes.

After seeing the episodes, I think you'll agree that their length fits perfectly for the story in my opinion. Having any of it be cut out or "condensed" doesn't seem right with how it all plays out. Your reaction to the 1:24 we just viewed seemed worth it to myself as a viewer, and importantly to you. It's one of those circumstances where if S04E08 & S04E09 were each an hour long, we'd maybe get a digital re-release of the "directors' cuts." Then the directors' would likely be "Everything we were missing" based on reviews for that option.. The length of these episodes just works. I think you'll see that in episode 9. So grab a couple of drinks, and a couple of snacks. A Ricola and a can of seltzer is not enough. Excited for the future reactions, and have snacks ordered for them.
