Not only unnecessary for the story, but comparing conversion therapy to bring out her "inner self" as a metaphor for people who go to conversion therapy to suppress and hide their hidden selves is...uncomfortable to think about. Positive for the episode is Morticia still being the only person who respects Wednesday's discomfort with physical touch.

And as a long time Tim Burton fan, the Easter Eggs are so much fun from the "Snap Twice" to enter the Night Shade room (the classic 60s TV show theme song), the Big Circle Window in Wed & Enid's room (from Burton's Batman Movies where Bruce Wayne usually broods as the Bat-signal lights up), The Black Cat's stitch up suit (Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman & Edward Scissorhand) to name a few LOL!

Wednesday morning - Wednesday morning couldn't guarantee... that Wednesday evening Eugene would still be here with me........ I confess I watched a bunch of edited reactions to the series and making ofs and I've seen each episode twice before now. I'm really loving it. Not quite perfect but really really solid!

2023-01-18 19:22:26 +0000 UTCI haven't seen Christina Ricci in many movies but she does always seem to have a wildly different look everytime. Still, can't believe you didn't recognize her especially since you mentioned her name on the credits in the first episode, haha. Speaking of her, I do recommend you watch the 1991 Addams Family movie. All respect to the actors in this series who did a great job but the casting and performances of the 91 film were just iconic. Beside it just being a fun movie It could easily be considered a prequel to this show, or at least you can clearly see the influence it had on it, so it would be a nice way to finish this season.

On January 6, Netflix confirmed that “more torture is coming,” with Wednesday season two officially being ordered up. In a joint statement to Netflix's Tudum, cocreators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough said, “We can't wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore.”" So that's exciting. :)
