2023-05-04 01:44:55 +0000 UTCI think the reason each bodyguard tied a string around his finger was as a tourniquets for when they cut off their finger in atonement for their failure. It’s a real-life form of atonement practiced by modern yakuza called “yabitsume”. Their boss closed a box containing severed fingers at the beginning of that scene. Of course- they ended up receiving a harsher punishment than a finger amputation.

2023-04-25 12:18:22 +0000 UTCI was never into the Punisher at all in the comics. Never have liked "revenge-porn". The writing and the acting alone won me over. (Directing also pretty great.) I hope Natalie will watch Punisher S1. In my considered opinion - that series had no business being as great as it was. Karen Page was stellar as always. I also loved Luke Cage's series, i will watch absolutely ANYthing Alfre Woodard is in. She may well be the single finest actor i've ever seen in 59 years of paying attention! (Iron Fist was a let down, but the girlfriend and the 'villains' were pretty great.). (Defenders was surprisingly good! Daredevil was incredibly funny in that series!)

2023-04-25 08:05:21 +0000 UTCTotally agree! Punisher and Daredevil are far and away the two best Netflix Marvel shows. They’re in a class of their own. Season 1 of the Punisher is also my personal favorite season out it all of them. Jon Bernthal is incredible.

2023-04-25 01:25:10 +0000 UTCi know at the beginning of these reactions you mentioned not watching all of the defenders shows (i do not blame you!) but i really think you should finish out daredevil and at least season 1 of the punisher. the first season of the punisher is probably my favorite season of these type of shows and i just love the characters that get introduced in that season...also more karen as she is a pretty big character in the punisher series.

Surprise movie hmmmm could it be the latest ant man movie I wonder 🤔 that's my guess anyway although hoping it might be predator 🙂

Looking forward to watching more goodness this week, and seeing what mystery movie you've got lined up for us next week 😊 That was such a great episode. Kept you guessing as to which way things were going to go. You're right Nat, Foggy may be a good lawyer, but he'd make a lousy detective. How he didn't spot the clues with what was going on between Matt and Karen, we'll never know 😄 And yeah, that final scene was pure Scooby Doo 😂 Thanks for a fun reaction today Nat. I never tire of watching you snickering at your own jokes 😄💛
