I'm pretty sure that the scene everyone was waiting for you to react to was the ending, just because of how big of a mindfuck it is lol. In terms of M. Night Shyamalan movies, there are only 3 movies he made that are great, this one, Unbreakable, and Signs. All great movies you should check out. Everything else the man has done has been terrible lol. There's a reason he became a bit of a meme with the whole "what a twist!" thing lol.

Noctis

I've always loved "Signs" by M Night, it's my favorite of his because this one is great but is also just so heavy for me personally. Hope you check out "Signs"!

DaftBasterd

Just thought of another Bruce Willis thriller that I think would be reaction worthy: Hostage (2005)

Gilbert Gonzalez

1. Never, Never, Never apologize for your empathetic reactions. They are always the best. 2. Coda's timing was awesome at the beginning. 3. Sorry for not knowing, have you seen the "The Kid" with Bruce Willis?

Taff Lewis

It's always fun watching this movie a second time with the knowledge that he's dead. Seeing how the movie navigates around Dr Crowe never interacting with or being noticed by anyone else but Cole, while not making it obvious, is so impressive.

Ravenlay

Bless you Nat, that you thought ‘That Scene’ was the ‘I see dead people’ scene. It’s the twist ending scene obviously 🤣🤣🤣

Harry Reece

I really hate Glass. It was such a disappointment.

David Sumner

She should watch Ghost (1990)

David Sumner

Great reactions, Natalie! For those of us who are long-time viewers of your channel, we are used to seeing you weeping. While I would detest to see you actually hurt or made uncomfortable, your tears just mean you identify with what you're seeing. It’s amazing that even now, 24 years later, the twist at the end is still not talked about, ruining it for those who haven’t seen the movie. M. Night Shyamalan’s top three movies (for me) are: this one “The Sixth Sense” (1999), “Unbreakable” (2000), and “Signs” (2002). “Unbreakable” is the first (and best in my opinion) movie in Shyamalan’s Eastrail 177 Trilogy with “Split” (2016) and “Glass” (2019). If you watch “Signs”, you must look at it as something more than just what’s on the surface. It’s a story about something different than what you, and many others, may think it’s about.

Miles E Coburn

Imo of course

Robert Moorhouse

You should def watch Signs! Another one of M. Night Shyamalan best!

Robert Moorhouse

Koda: LOUD NOISE! Natalie: LOUD NOISE! *natalie pets the dog* happy dog

Martin

i'm kinda tickled that nat put on her jacket. with cold being a big plot point in the movie

Wu Sha Ling

I would absolutely watch Unbreakable, Split and Glass! Lots of twists, great movies, more Bruce Willis with a kid! What else would you want? :P

Heliastein

i love unbreakable, split is great too ... glass is good if you have seen unbreakable and split

Andreas Sommer

You have watches at least one other M. Night movie: The Last Airbender. 😬

G. T. Blackwell

Addendum: Where M. Night Shyamalan is concerned, you might want to check out the Unbreakable Trilogy next. The third entry I've heard isn't that great, but the first two are great. The films are: Unbreakable Split Glass And the key thing to keep in mind is, it's kind of like Shyamalan's riff on comic book superhero mythology and motifs, entering the real world.

Nicholas Sulikowski

How did I not notice him in Forrest Gump?!

Nicholas Sulikowski

Bahahahha

Anthony Dimas

Fuuuuck ahhaha

Anthony Dimas

Terrible title for people who lisp like me. :-)

Dennis Macko

i was homeless in nyc when this came out. i saw it at the anjelika theatre, then headed to washington square park to try and fall asleep. it didn't go great.

Steve

Really enjoyed this reaction. This is my second favorite Haley Joel Osment film after the 2003 family film where he stars along side Robert Duvall and Michael Caine, Secondhand Lions. Super recommend.

CheeseRepair

The moment you said you knew nothing about this film, I was sitting here for two hours with a manic grin just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Waiting for the twist to hit. Because I had thought this was a movie that was so thoroughly parodied and meme'd in pop culture to the point that everyone knew the twist without seeing it. Like knowing Darth Vader is Luke's father. So this was awesome to find someone that can enjoy this movie fresh like audiences did when it first came out. Yeah, I think this comic is relevant. https://xkcd.com/1053/ But anyway, awesome video. I'm glad you loved it. I'm seeing it again for the first time in a long time. And it really is a sweet, heartfelt narrative. There's so much more than just ghosts and a twist. It's got a strong emotional core.

Nicholas Sulikowski

Followed by Glass.

Logan Kerlee

I ended up watching it on some bootleg site lol

John Piazza

That trilogy NEEDS TO BE SEEN/REACTED TO!! I would be so happy watching her react to those. :)

Logan Kerlee

No way! xD

Logan Kerlee

Wrote this as I watched - hahahaha, this intro is so great! Natalie you're a freak - I love it. I'm pretty sure that you'll be alright. This movie's more creepy than jump scare central. You get scared of ghosts, eh? This'll be fun! You're putting your jacket on in June?! lol, crazy woman. :P You took it off 25 minutes in, make up your mind. You put back on 5 minutes later.. off it went at 47 minutes in. xD Telekinetic abilities are moving things with the mind. xDD Your face when he said that! lol, if it's in America it'd be hard to find a place. Gotta remember ages ago with native americans. They got some super rough treatment - I'll bet you that he sees them as well. I remember riding in carts like that when I was a youngster! So much fun. I love his mom! She's so sweet. Totally, yeah! This isn't a scary movie but it contains creepy elements. This is one of M Night Shyamalan's best movies. Some - well, many are garbage.

Logan Kerlee

That was a great watch along. I really enjoy watching that movie again with your reactions.

Powers209

I watched this movie for the forst time now with you. I got spoiled to the ending couple years ago. So my perspective was a little different. :D But I enjoyed the movie a lot. Bruce Willis is amazing and it made me emotional watching him and knowing about his struggle with dementia nowadays. But a very good movie with a very good twist at the end.

LJ Mickey

OMG 😂

Natalie Gold

I love rewatching this movie. The first time you enjoy the tweeeeests. Rewatching you can start to note the super obvious clues. The penny never left the hand

Persnickity

It sucks that I was never able to experience the crazy twist at end. I was really young when I first watched this movie and was too scared to finish it. But by the time I was old enough to watch it, the ending had been spoiled to me by Lonely Island’s “Jizz in my Pants” music video lmao

Jenny Tolls

hope this one gets you towards watching Signs and Unbreakable

Naturekitty5309

Definitely Unbreakable. I love all these movies but Unbreakable is special. (Especially in a post-MCU world.)

Jacob King

And then Split, lol

Annie519

I'm almost with you on this one except I love Unbreakable and Split and I have a soft spot for Glass but other then that yeah don't really like his other films. I know there is a huge fanbase for Signs but I thought there was a lot of dumb things in it and I think it's a bit pretentious and some very weird acting, not so much by the main cast but by the side characters.

Annie519

Split also was fantastic, his best movie in the past like 10 years, I did hear good things about The Visit but haven't seen that one. But Split he really went back to his roots from his earlier work. I'm not a Signs fan but I get there is a big audience for it, there is just a little too many dumb moments in it for me. I do recommend her watching Unbreakable & Split. I'm not going to give anything away though.

Annie519

Second Hand Lions is an amazing movie with some great actors. Well worth a watch.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

Natalie can now finally watch 50 FIRST DATES

Jason Dolan

Oh man, I watch Signs and Unbreakable all the time. Some of my all time favorites. Signs is very rewatchable

mrhalfbit

The scene with his mom in the car gets me every time. Cant watch it without bawling lol

Jesse Wilson

It’s sad that people don’t realize that we have 10-12 senses depending on how you count them. Sense of balance, sense of where your body is, sense of hot and cold, just to name a few. But we are stuck with the 6th sense being for seeing dead people.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

So many lines, like Cole saying "I won't be seeing you again, will I." Meaning he would vanish.

Troy B.

This was only the second time I'd seen this movie (saw it when it first came out), and it hits TOTALLY different after knowing the ending, and it's masterfully done; I hadn't rewatched it because I didn't think it would hold up knowing the ending, but it works both ways, really. SO glad you managed to go this long w/o hearing the spoiler.

Troy B.

I absolutely love how all of the pieces to the mystery are on the screen, but you have no idea what is or isn't significant.

Matt Flanagan

@Trevor S Bright Oh yeah that movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid! I literally couldn’t even finish it! But check it out now I think you would really enjoy it.

Jenny Tolls

Split was excellent and Glass could have been as well had he not utterly crapped all over the 3 main characters at the end.The only ending I hated as much in an otherwise decent movie was "No Time to Die." Utter garbage.

REDR58

Split was also pretty good. I never bothered watching Glass though since I knew the ending.

Trevor S Bright

My favorite part of the reaction was “But he’s been interacting with ….” Pause, pause, pause, Realization! That was great. And agree with others that Unbreakable and Signs were other strong Shyamalan movies before he lost his magic touch.

Nathan Benefield

Old was really good.

John Piazza

Sixth Sense, Signs, Village, The Visit, and Old were all good. Airbender was garbage and the Lady in the Water was meh.

John Piazza

It was what everyone meant. She’s kind of a ditz sometimes

John Piazza

Well it has been years since I've seen it. Plus it did actually freak me out. It's just the last like 10 minutes of the movie that took me out of it a bit.

Trevor S Bright

Lol Natalie the part people wanted to see your reaction to was the twist at the end 🤣

John Piazza

Signs is not meh lol you completely missed the point of that movie if it’s meh to you

Jenny Tolls

if you loved Haley Joel Osment performance, would also highly recommend A.I. Artificial Intelligence 2001 directed by Spielberg. Also you should watch the Unbreakable trilogy all movies directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Unbreakable 2000 / Spilt 2016 / Glass 2019

Peter Heine

M. Night Shyamalan movies started out great with this, then over time became more meh than just WTF like The Last Airbender. Meh ones include Signs and The Village. His other great one is the 1 he did after this Unbreakable also starring Bruce Willis and co-starring Samuel L. Jackson. Highly recommend that one.

Trevor S Bright

I think most people were excited to see you react to the twist. It's 1 of those twists where most people know it like The Usual Suspects.

Trevor S Bright

Haley Joel Osment was also Forrest Jr. in Forrest Gump. Plus he was the voice of the main protagonist Sora in the video game series Kingdom Hearts.

Trevor S Bright

THIS WAS SO GOOD. You and We were watching two different movies the whole time, I was grinning a lot and talking "to" you, which usually doesn't happen. Because knowing the twist makes it a slightly different second movie. It's so subtle that he never interacts with anyone but Cole, because we assume he just got done talking to the mom, or the new boyfriend just ignores him, or the wife is mad. Almost interesting meta commentary in the anniversary scene - we assume she's silently fuming and throws out a sarcastic "happy anniversary" because ... women in movies get fewer lines, are mad at their husbands, and even when they're in the scene, it's about the man. Except here, he's not even "there". Poor lady is going to Their restaurant because she misses him so damn much. There are a million little things in this movie and it continually makes everyone wonder why Shyamalan's other movies can be spectacularly bad. Wait, did you really never do Unbreakable? I could have sworn you did. That one is also worth a spot on a poll. I liked Signs but I can see why people wouldn't. DD finale, Korra start, and this super fun reaction to a great movie. We had it GOOD this week.

Shen V

... during this one, I caught myself saying "You need cats, lady". Sorry, Nat.

Shen V

Definitely Signs!! That movie is amazing and I think she would thoroughly enjoy it

Jenny Tolls

All she really missed was the explanation of why the closet wouldn't open being because his wife had put books in front of it that he didn't see because he didn't want to see.

Ed Green

It was great watching someone react to this who hadn't been spoiled. I about fell out of my chair with the reveal at the end when I first saw this. And it's just a really good movie all around.

Ben Violette

Gotta' watch Split too...

Richard Rolen

Hope you get around to Signs, unbreakable and Glass.

Jayson Phillips

lol Koda scared the bajebus outta you

kenneth

You're so lucky this movie was never spoiled for you. I unfortunately wasn't so lucky. The week it came out, a friend was telling me to go see it because of the big reveal. And he didn't use the words "big reveal" but told me the actual ..big reveal. -_- ..But at least I can experience this like I'm watching it for the first time, if I watch it with someone who's watching for the first time. So this is close enough.

kenneth

For more Haley Joel Osment, I recommend A.I. and Second Hand Lions

Ben Wheeler

that was such a great watch along. loved every minute, so glad you somehow magically managed to only get this little spoiler "i see dead people" which didn't even cause you to realize the twist until the very moment it was revealed. i had such a fun time seeing you exploring this story. and was happy to share some tears to this sad but beautiful story. p.s. give Koda an extra cuddle for protecting you from Ghosts during your watch with his barks!! :D

Gilbert

Unbreakable when?

Brian Jones

Fingers crossed this opens the door to more horror movies outside of October 👀🤞🏻

Daniel McGuinness

This is one of my overall favorite movies, where rewatching it you pick up on so many "I should have noticed" elements. So glad to have been able to see your reaction to it!

AZalan

I am shocked that this wasn't spoiled for you before. It's just such a pop culture standard at this point.

Myles Away

its on Disney+ in the UK

Baggie Mark

It was great watching it with you tonight Nat, all of us knew the twist and it was so interesting watching it through your eyes because we all had exactly the same reactions when we found out about the twist when we watched it the 1st time. Thanks again for the great content..

Baggie Mark

What a TWIST!!! What a TWIST!!!!

Baggie Mark

Does the audio seem quiet to anyone else?

N.A. Vreugdenhil

I assumed, when she first mentioned it, the scene people were talking about was the reveal at the end. That’s the scene that I was most curious to see anyway

Jonathan Barrick

I was so tense the entire time watching Natalie reacting to this, cause I was hoping she wouldn't figure it out before the reveal. Even when "I see dead people" part came, I thought "oh no, she's gonna put the pieces together now". I'm happy she didn't see the twist coming, just as I and I guess many others didn't first time watching it. It was fun visting this movie again and another great reaction from Natalie

HeyItsSuper

Loved your reaction. I worried you would actually figure out the ending beforehand because you're so astute. But please, no more M Night Shyamalan. "The Sixth Sense" is his one-trick pony that runs perfectly. It goes lame quickly after that. And you have seen at least one Shyamalan film before, or do you want to forget "The Last Airbender" even exists? I would understand.

Jim Lent

Luckily Bruce Willis has done a crapton of movies, so unless the person goes out of their way to name the movie as well, she might not make the connection. Also during the height of that meme I think Nat wasn't really into movies yet.

Troy B.

I watched this when I was a kid and remember having nightmares for months about the tent scene. Absolutely horrified poor little Michael

Michael Harrop

Watching this movie back is so good knowing about the twist. Bruce only wears clothes he had on the night he died. He also doesn't talk to anyone but Cole. And he doesn't move any furniture or objects, like chairs to sit in, or open doors. Other than in his basement when no one else is around him. Another fun thing to see is whenever a ghost is around, red is shown on screen. Red balloon, red sweater, red blanket, red door knob. Such great direction in this movie.

UngawdlyJish

Fun reaction, but of all the movie moments the dogs could trample, they trample the "Bruce Willis is a ghost" reveal. Wow. I'm a cat person. Also, I'm shocked Nat has never heard the smartass response "Bruce Willis is a ghost" when people say "No spoilers", it became a meme almost immediately after the film hit. I've requested before, but bad movie night: The Happening, also by M. Night.

Keith Jacobsen

Nat's reaction to "the scene" was great! I was really kinda hoping she would have figured out the twist at the end ahead of time.

Mastervodo

I think if you enjoyed this you should consider watching Unbreakable - I think it's possibly even better than The Sixth Sense.

Chris Cooper

As opening credits roll–"I should have gotten a hoodie cuz I'm kinda cold." I spilled a bit of coffee at that.

Andrew T

Th to an S sound trouble just means you have a slow tongue! :P

Simon Bauer

I know I'm in an extreme minority for this take, but I also loved The Village from him.

Erik Stevenson

M Night made a few good movies before things went off the rails. Unbreakable and Signs were good IMO. Not as good as the Sixth Sense but still pretty good.

BNJ

is "Stay Golden" a reference from "The Outsiders"?

BNJ

Please watch the new super mario movie!

Len

To translate Koda's barking around 11:30, "dead people! I see dead people!"

Sean

Nat watched it on Amazon Prime.

Darryl Low

Im glad you loved this! Lets add Signs to the list!

mrhalfbit

Happy Friday nat I agree with Darryl the t-shirt looks great 👌 ofcourse it being a Friday I haven't time to watch so will enjoy the reaction tomorrow with a snack i have yet to purchase 🙂 so not much to say other than have a fantastic weekend nat stay hydrated and enjoy the fine weather and ofc stay golden

Ian

McAvoy is unreal in Split

adrianR31

Yes! Also I have already suggested to Natalie that she should watch the Eastrail Trilogy, Unbreakable / Split / Glass. Willis and Jackson are great but McAvoy is phenomenal!

MertzRocks

I can understand the excitement going into this for the first time. It was Shyamalan at his prime. Should definitely watch Signs. But only at night

adrianR31

Where is she watching this? I don’t see it on most streaming services and she usually only watches stuff people have wide access to

John Piazza

Damn I thought this was the Wayan’s Brothers movie Senseless lol

Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen #1

Happy Feature Friday Nat. Love your t-shirt. It's so cool. Been looking forward to seen what you made of this movie, and I hope there was no knee banging on your low clearance desk 😬😀 I'm dying to know whether you made it to the end without figuring it all out as you are usually such a smart cookie when it comes to movies like this 😊 "Man, this movie is going to have a happy ending" Oh boy Nat 😮 Your reaction to this movie was awesome Nat. I'm glad that you never saw the ending coming. I didn't either when I watched it in the theatre, so it was a Holy Hell moment when it came for me too. I think it still holds up well 24 years on. Brilliantly and cleverly made. On the second watch you can see how all the character interactions work so well. The score is also scary and beautiful. Shyamalan's Signs and Old are definitely worth a watch too. Really enjoyed today's video Nat, and thanks for all your great work this week. Have a brilliant weekend 💛
