I love hearing the announcer for some reason. I am pretty sure he was the announcer in An Extremely Goofy Movie during the sports race.

I think we're all here because we like the show or just to support Nat, but I think telling someone they're "objectively wrong", saying something is "not up for debate", or calling someone a "hater" when they're just expression an opinion is not productive language. I think we can all have differing opinions without diminishing someone else's and I hope that we can be a bit more positive and have nuanced discussion about the show as a community moving forward! <3

Like, that's on anyone but her. π She's a child, and going through emotional turmoil isn't something you can be blamed for. Like Aang, it's an insane burden that she has to bear, having to protect the whole world, especially in Korras case, as she had been shuttered away from society. Like, chill Natalie π

2023-06-13 01:31:31 +0000 UTCumm yea she is. do u know how characters come to be? theyβre written by tv show WRITERS one of which, wrote korraβs character. iβm not a hater i think the show in all was pretty good iβve rewatched many times bc i do love it. but i donβt like that the writers just took most things from the last air bender and made it the opposite to βspice thingsβ or bc they thought it created βtensionβ. aang was boy child, korra is a teenage/ young adult woman, aang had no parents, korra did, everything in their own way came together in one way or another in the plots of ATLA, that didnβt really happen as much in Lok, a lot of things came easy to aang at least bending wise but EVERYTHING was a struggle for korra bro i can go on and on. when i say bullshit i mean iβm terms of her korraβs continuous hot headed aggression that continues to get her into bullshit throughout the series and nat was talking about how she needs to grow because of how hot headed and impatient she is and she doesnβt really grow in the regard until maybe the very end when it was beaten into her. iβm not a hater fuck u

2023-06-13 01:27:37 +0000 UTCSeason 1 is excellent -- it just takes a while to get going. But LOK embraced the steampunk in Season 1 and I am here for it. Amon is a great villain, and one of the things about Amon that I love is that he feels relevant. Someone could make the argument that he's the best villain in the series and I won't argue it. The only reason I can think of someone not liking season 1 is because it is boldly different from ATLA. But that's kind of the point. Konietzko and DiMartino made the decision to more the timeline to the 1920s and create a masterful, steampunk world and I loved it. And as a reminder, Avatar: the Last Airbender also took a while to hit its stride.

2023-06-13 01:23:23 +0000 UTCi went ahead and watched the whole season 1 and it reminds me of how much i missed the animation style of the series and i forgot who aamon was and when i found out and the whole story behind it i was shocked and surprised of it all over again, since this would be my second time rewatching it since it came out, man i think i just needed time to like the series again even more

2023-06-13 01:20:02 +0000 UTCSeason 2 is the weakest of all four seasons, but I wouldn't completely write it off as a terrible season. It has some excellent moments (including a very noteworthy stretch in the middle of the season) and it introduced a lot of great characters. Some of the sub-plots are tedious and annoying, but there are huge pay-offs to those subplots in seasons 3 and 4. A number of secondary characters get some excellent development. And even though it wasn't executed well, the premise for the season was excellent (which I can't get into without getting into spoiler territory). The drawbacks to season 2 include the difference in the animation compared to the other seasons (due to the work of a different studio than the other seasons), a lackluster main villain (he's not all that bad, it's just the other villains are sooo much better) and those sub-plots I mentioned earlier. But there was never a point in season 2 where I was like "this is garbage, I can't watch more of this!" Season 2 was interesting in its own way. It's just that Season 1 was strong and Season 3 was arguably the greatest season in the Avatar franchise (IMO). Season 2 looks lackluster in comparison.

Quite a journey for Korra today. Interesting to see her so scared and pensive for the most part, but getting over-confident again brought her back down to earth. Such a cool villain too. And a lot of wacky humour in this one π Thanks for a great reaction today Nat, and don't ever get yourself stressed about getting your content out.
