What did the ancient Egyptians do to those dung beetles to turn them into bug version of piranhas (well the movie version of piranhas)?

David Lonewolf Wright

More Rachel Weisz please! Constantine, Mummy2, Oz Great & powerful. Yes! Bartok. (a favorite Hank Azaria role) Wasn't following the chat, so the the misdirection at the beginning got me. That was awesome. Good Watch, that was fun. Thanks for your work.

Taff Lewis

Haha me too.

Dan R.

Yo I fell for that lol

Angel Sanchez

I always thought Arnold Vosloo (Imhotep) would have made a FANTASTIC Lex Luthor. He basically looks exactly like the version from the animated series.

Jeff K

Thank you for agreeing with me! :D

Logan Kerlee

And...charm.

Michael G. Munz

There is no Mummy 3.

Michael G. Munz

I don't know whether to hug you or punch you :D

Michael G. Munz

You genuinely worried me when you said Tom Cruise. πŸ˜‚ Also your pictures from your time in Egypt really reminded me of Rachel Weisz character in this movie.

NobleSon32

People don't rave about how hot Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are in these movies. They rave about how hot the ENTIRE cast is.

Conor

Honestly did get prank when Nat was talking about Tom Cruise's Mummy

Ernesto

No more puns, you gonna go cry to your mummy?

Thomas Richter

YES! Lawrence is punishingly long, but it's one of the most beautifully shot films ever made!

David McDonald

Did you know there's an even older Mummy movie with Boris Karloff? This is a remake of that older one, and the Tom Cruise version is a remake of this one.

Kevin Bartelen

Definitely one of your most fun reactions, Natalie. Right up there with Galaxy Quest :)

Patrick Egan

A lot of memories with for me as well! I haven’t seen this movie in years and watching it again reminded me of how great and special it is!

Jenny Tolls

YES! That's what I said on Discord today! Live action Puss in Boots! Epic Music! Swordplay! Swash Swash Buckle Buckle!

Mastervodo

This is definitely a favorite of mine. A lots of memories and fun with this one. I was happy to see this posted. Thanks for the reaction.

Ben_Kenobi_77

Great reactions, Natalie! Honestly, this is why I watch reaction channels; to view the movies like I'm watching them for the first time. Your reactions are always a fun time for me and some of my favorites. At least the ones that are for fun movies and not necessarily scary ones. Something funny that happened while watching this - I watch my copy of the movie on my 4K OLED with English Subtitles for the Hard of Hearing / Deaf. It helps me so I don't have to have the volume turned up so loud to hear the dialogue. Your reaction is on my tablet with Bluetooth headphones / earbuds. At the beginning, when Imhotep is having the Hom-Dei performed on him, and they put the scarabs into the sarcophagus, the subtitles say, "Muffled Screaming". And at the same time, YOUR screaming is cutting through my brain. I just had to laugh.

Miles E Coburn

Oh my god Natalie I literally turned off your video the first time as soon as you said Tom Cruise...

David

Definitely isn't a horror movie, just as this one wasn't. It may scare a few but it isn't worthy of being included alongside other horror movies that're watched in October. PLUS, come on, I don't want to wait that long to watch the movie. :P

Logan Kerlee

I had the movie ready to go on Peacock, and your YouTube video set in PiP. Then you said Tom Cruise and I went, "WHAAATT?!!" I can't believe I fell for that lmao

WhatTheSpock

This was so much fun to watch with you Nat! If you really enjoyed this, one that I'd like to recommend is Lawrence of Arabia! It's a classic film, made way back in 1962 and was set in 1916 or 1917. Amazing movie that's regarded quite highly by film buffs. If not for a reaction, I'd like for you to watch it anyway. I know that I'd enjoy the reaction - but it's a LONG one at 3 hours and 42 minutes! It's a fave of mine for sure. Reason why I'm recommending it here is because it's set in the desert and it feels like a good time to watch that one. :)

Logan Kerlee

annihilation , yes please :)

Peter Heine

For sure it’s extra special! I will be sure to try it out again

Jenny Tolls

You should watch The Mask of Zorro

Michael MacDonagh

Love the fan theory that Jonathan fought in WW1. The drinking, the not really taking anything serious because the world just isn't the same for him, the comment about wanting to join them when Evy comments if he doesn't respect the dead, saying that he has seen worse etc. Probably saw a bunch of his friends die and just like Winston he wishes he could have died with them..

Danishprince

You’re very welcome! Works with really any period piece, but when it’s a monster movie it’s extra special.

Sarah P

I just tried that and wow it looks really interesting! Thanks for letting us know!

Jenny Tolls

I hope she watches the Scorpion King!

Jenny Tolls

I love how Rick mocks his laugh and even makes a goofy face to mock him even more lmao

Jenny Tolls

Me: gets The Mummy rented and starts video Natalie: Tom Cruise Me: 'out loud' Oh no. Oh noo. Great prank

Steven

β€œHey, Beni! Looks to me like you're on the wrong side of the river!" will forever not be one the greatest moments in a comedy movie!!

Danishprince

In case it wasn't mentioned above, this movie is free if you have Peacock.

Troy B.

Did you have to Ramses puns down our throats? Pharaoh puns are Too-darn-common.

Troy B.

Yeah, I knew you were trolling as soon you mentioned loving Tom Cruise...funny.

Keith Jacobsen

Loved the reaction (and the Tom Cruise joke). This was a regular watch for my family. I’m a fan of the second one too. It was Dwayne Johnson’s first movie role and the main cast all came back. The rest of the franchise did drop off in quality. The reason the special effects in Jurassic Park hold up so well is that they were mostly practical with the CGI used to enhance the puppetry and the models rather than replace them - by the time the Mummy came out it was a lot more reliant on CGI. The sets and locations were still practical. I remember getting a leaflet at the cinema explaining what CGI was and it had behind the scenes pictures of the Evy sacrifice scene.

Jacob King

I loved the reaction! It was nice to watch this movie again. I would love for you to react to the show black mirror as well as the movie annihilation!

Lobos625

I thought I done rented the wrong mummy when she said Tom Cruise πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Gilbert Gonzalez

Nat definitely had me in the opening, I did a double take when she said Tom Cruise like I had just been slapped lol

John

Sick joke at the beginning. Had me going for a minute

Jonathan Dittman

I love this movie so much!

FatLittleButterfly

I’m glad you decided to watch this so we no longer had to keep the spoilers under wraps.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

Great reaction Nat glad you liked it. You really got me with the intro, I had looked up specifically where I could watch the Brendan Frasier the mummy and when you said tom cruise I let out an audible groan. You should know that the sequel the mummy returns is just as good paying off many callbacks, although it is also just as scarey, so maybe a good Halloween movie :)

Athenor

LOL! This was a Fun Movie to revisit & Nat's reaction is fantastic! This was Brandon Fraser's most successful box office movie at the height of his Popularity. Fun Fact: The Mummy was the #1 at the Box Office until 2 weeks after its debut when Star Wars: Ep1-The Phantom Menace opened. Fun Fact #2: The Producers Offered the Role of O'Connell to Tom Cruise and 3 other A-List Stars before ending up hiring Fraser. And of course, everyone here knows that Cruise starred in the 2017 Re-Boot. LOL!

Alan Felicia

.................No more ''skits'' thanks.... #Cringe

Diiirk706

straight up got me

Brandon Hinton

YOU GOT ME!!! I had the Mummy up and ready and started scrambling trying to find the Mummy's Mummy!

PopeyeNelson

What is the Mummy’s favorite mode of transportation. A New Bus.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

Another great movie from the same director is The Jungle Book (1993).

David Sumner

THE MUMMY RETURNS! THE MUMMY RETURNS! :D

soggytacos

I'd love to see her react to Mask of Zorro. That's a great summer movie and unfortunately the kind that Hollywood rarely makes today.

David Sumner

She can skip The Mummy 3 though!

David Sumner

If you liked this movie, you'll LOVE the Mask of Zorro! Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones absolutely set the screen on fire with their chemistry. It is so fantastic and I really wish they made movies like that today. Also, another great movie from the same Writer/Director is The Jungle Book (1993).

David Sumner

This is one of those movies that's just pure fun. The perfect blend of action and comedy, with a few dashes of classic horror. I can always sit down and watch it and be entertained. The effects do hold up very well. Practical almost always wins out over computer-generated. So glad I waited for Natalia to set you straight! LOL!

Marty McGee

Van Helsing is definitely worth a watch. Not a modern classic, but a lot of fun. Little bit of trivia... the creepy jailer who got killed by the scarab is Omid Djalili, an English stand-up comedian. Thankful that Bennie finally got his Kermit-upance. For what it's worth, in my opinion, the 2nd movie's fun and worth watching. The 3rd one... it's ok, but they had to replace Rachel Weiss, and the chemistry was gone and it was just not as good.

Misty Crom

Thank you... I was about to not watch the reaction as soon as Nat said Tom Cruise. You saved at least one viewing.

Misty Crom

If for nothing else then because it’s from those movies we get the pop culture image of Frankenstein’s monster having the flat head, bolts in the neck, platform shoes, and lumbering movement

Ben Wheeler

Good lord, that beginning nearly had me LOL. I was getting my pitchfork ready :) On the other end, what a great movie. Near everything firing on all cyclinders!

Brent giesbrecht

Yeah...this is a good one. Just good, not-completely stupid fun. And Brendan Fraser rocks.

Steve Mercier

I LOVE the atmosphere in this movie. If you plan on watching the second movie you should definitely watch The Scorpion King first. They're both kinda connected.

Jenny Tolls

I know you like Brendan Fraser as do I so idk what movies you have or haven't seen from him but bedazzled and blast from the past are def worth a reaction πŸ™πŸ‘

dieselbeast

Kelsey Grammer has so much to answer for

Fraser

frazier

Kelvin

Would love to see Nat watching some classic B+W Universal Monsters for Natmares. Nat loves Young Frankenstein so it would be cool to see her watch the original Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein and spot so many of the scenes that were used and parodied in Young Frankenstein 😊

Darryl Low

Making a belated plea for Fraser to be pronounced correctly. I am on my knees.

Fraser

I'm not big on summer action movies, but this was a fun reaction. Sometimes, silly works. Natalie mentioned when she was a kid she walked out of watching Jaws with her parents. I can't believe she's never seen Jaws, but if not, do Jaws!! It's a movie essential! The FIRST summer blockbuster. Even today, it doesn't feel dated, except, maybe the actual shark.

Jim Lent

I'm so glad you watched this film Nat, its one of my favourite films. Hope you get to watch the Mummy 2 (dont bother with 3 lol).

Baggie Mark

Jumping in to recommend my favorite way of watching this β€” turn down your saturation so it’s in black and white! Makes it look like an old monster movie with weirdly futuristic special effects!

Sarah P

loved your reaction, can't wait for 'The mummy 2' !!

DevilsQueen

Noticed at the end Ardeth would've seen the gold on the camel, so he probably picked another one to ride since he doesn't need it :D

Simon Bauer

Best version lol now you gotta watch the mummy returns

Joseph salazar

I love Beni! Such a great, greasy little weasel!

Mastervodo

thank god I scrolled down to check the comments cause I almost closed my browser πŸ˜…

Summer

Love the comparison with Beni and Bartok. I totally see that, especially the accent/the way they speak. Spot on.

Dan Dedrick

The way I was loading up the 90s The Mummy movie and did a double take when you said Tom Cruise 😭😭 Nat! Don’t do that to me! Anyway! Excited for some Brendan Fraser/Rachel Weisz!

Daniel McGuinness

The opening puns hurt me physically. Well done

Eric Wallace

I'm glad I waited... I almost shut the video off. I don't have anything against Tom Cruise, but that movies failure torpedoed an entire cinematic universe. So glad you're watching Brendan's version.

Aaron Lovik

"maybe we should handle that with gloves..." 🀣

Crash Raynor

girl you got me lol omg what a prank. As soon I heard Tom Cruise I said OMG NATALIE!, good thing I let it continued haha.

Kyle Turning Robe

When does a regular joke become a dad joke? When it becomes.... apparent xP

SmokeAndACoffee

Ha! The fakeout with Tom Cruise!

Mastervodo

Happy Friday nat another reaction I've gotta add to the to watch list I'm going to need an entire weekend to catch up at this rate πŸ₯Ή so I only really popped on here to with you an awesome weekend and if you're out hiking it's not crazy hot for you and you're able to enjoy it without melting 🀞 ok so after seeing a few comments on discord I had to watch the start of the video and fun fact a customer at work bought in about 20 Blu-rays of movies that they no longer wanted and said help yourself, well 19 of the 20 eventually went I myself took Thor Ragnarok but the one remaining that's still in the cupboard at work over two years later is the mummy with Tom cruise πŸ˜‚ so yeah it's not great unlike your intro prank that was epic πŸ™Œ

Ian

Thanks Nat! I really enjoyed your tutankhammentary!

Byron

Had us in the first half (a minute), not gonna lie

Chris Cooper

LOLOL got me good with the prank at the beginning. Also if you want a really mild Natmares (and yes I know the long shot nature of this suggestion) this year Universal essentially had a monster universe in the '30s and '40s with Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, etc. with some crossover. The original mummy came out in 1932 with Boris Karloff and then multiple lesser sequels after that.

Ben Wheeler

Happy Pharaoh Feature Friday Nat 😊 Been looking forward to watching this with you. Such a cool and fun movie. Van Helsing was probably suggested to you on Amazon because it's the same writer / director as The Mummy. Nat, that was the one reaction to beet-le! πŸ˜‚ Definitely needed this on this Friday evening. It was so much fun. When you were staring in disbelief when the sand mummy entered the room ha ha πŸ˜„ Loved you blowing your bangs too. No sign of any frogs in this movie. They all hopped it. I thought of Bartok as well while I was watching "Wow! I tell you what, Wow!" πŸ˜‚ Jerry Goldsmith's score is so epic. His use of the choir is so ominous. He's always been my favourite composer. He scored well over 250 movies, and this is only the 2nd one of his films you've watched on your channel. The other is Alien. Definitely need to add the original Planet of the Apes and The Omen to the list. Two of his best scores. Thanks for an amazing video today Nat, especially your fake out intro ha ha, and as always thanks for all your hard work this week. Have a brilliant weekend πŸ’›

Darryl Low
