I doubt Katara without a full moon could have done anything more than what we saw Toph do. I do wonder if there was anything they could've done to better prepare. he was clearly on trial and being accused of being a bloodbender. maybe they just didn't expect he could also bend without hands?

2023-06-28 00:48:26 +0000 UTCEven if Katara were there, she probably couldn't do much. She's not invincible, as much as we love her. And if Yakone could hold an entire courtroom of people, he could hold her too. She couldn't bloodbend whenever she wanted, so she's at a huge disadvantage.

I guess you could compare the Equalists to Nazi’s since they want to erase all the benders from the world 🤷🏻♂️

Yes this is the situation that lead to communism, but I don't think Sato was going to be supporting an ideology that was going to give all his wealth away. Probably closer to an apartheid situation, where the oppressed "race" (nonbenders) is hating the "race" of the oppressors (benders). I have no idea what ideology Unalaq represents because I've blacked season 2 out of my memory besides that one two-part episode. edit: Amon might represent uprisings like the French revolution as well, with the nobles losing their powers instead of their heads

I'm sure she could have made a water whip and choked him out or something, or at least held him at bay until Aang recovered and they would have taken him down together. They always fought well together anyway. .... Or she could have made a huge icicle and either impaled him with it or cleaved him in half 😂

Yakone has mastered blood bending without the need for a full moon and is doing so in the courtroom, Katara wouldn't have been able to stop him without a full moon.

I expected her to jump out when Yakone was bloodbending Aang and go "Put my husband down, you snake!" and just destroy him or something. 😂 Unfortunately We don't have a lot of information about where she was at that time. I guess you could assume she was on Air temple Island with the kids. Tenzin (as the youngest kid) would've been about 9 at that time so maybe she was still a "mom" at that point, or taking time away from the Council?
