I have a lot of tear welling up moments through this movie, but the one that breaks me into tears is Nebula's reaction when she realizes Rocket is okay. This badass perpetually angry character, who lost everyone but Rocket in the Blip gasping with a shaky voice just gets me every time.

David Lonewolf Wright

Hey Nat wanna know something more depressing about this film? Marvel took a classic guardians joke and turned it into one of the most depressing moments of each film. Each movie rocket is in he makes a joke about mechanical body parts. Floor had mechanical legs. In guardians 1 rocket tricked quill into getting him a guys metal leg. Teefs had a metal eye. In guardians 2 Groot accidentally brings rocket and Yondu a metal eye. And rocket keeps it bc he "thought it would be funny". Lylla had metal arms. In avengers Infinity war and the Christmas special rocket comments on Bucky's arm and then in the special nebula gets him Bucky's arm as a present. This entire trilogy rocket was secretly trying to collect the things that reminded him of his friends that he lost.

Jason Blakeman

I had to come back for Guardians. Definite tear jerker. It will be interesting to see how Marvel moves forward. Thanks Nat ✌️❤️

Trish Murphy

Have you never heard of review bombing? probably half those people didn't even watch the movie. It's Marvel, so it must suck, right?

Richard Maurer

Some YT commenters (haters) tell their fans that everything Marvel is bad now, and the sheep just eat it up and repeat it all over the internet.

Richard Maurer

She's been listening to the haters.

Richard Maurer

@ George - Yes, yes they are.

Richard Maurer

Almost everything in Phase 4 gets shit on and almost none it deserves it. Except Thor; Love and Thunder - that movie is really bad. But rest aren't as bad as people say, even the Eternals and Wakanda forever. And the Disney+ shows aren't bad either.

Richard Maurer

Oh boy. I watched it in cinema and it became my "I've never cried so much in the cinema" movie. Second watch with you at home and I cried even more. Rocket just gets me.

Jules Readner

It’s a phase 5 movie..

Alfredo

James Gunn's MCU swansong, and it doesn't pull any punches. And I kind of liked that we had a villain who isn't complex, who doesn't have some redeemable quality or purpose. He was just a sadistic, sociopathic egomaniac trying to play god, but too egotistical and moronic o see that he'll never succeed because... like the raccoon said... he just couldn't let things be as they are. Also, Quantamania is not a bad movie. It's very different, sure. But it's far from bad, and feels like the first phase 4 movie actually setting up things to come. If you really don't wanna watch it, fair enough, but don't not watch it just because some people said it's not good. A lot of people said X-Men: The Last Stand and the Wolverine movies were terrible; and that the Garfield Spider-Mans aren't good, and Captain Marvel's terrible. Movies that "fans" have slagged off far worse, you've very much enjoyed, because you didn't listen to people who went in already having decided. That's what I always do too. But then I also enjoyed She-Hulk and thought Ms. Marvel was delightful, so what do I know?

Misty Crom

So my brother was killed in some needless crime before my 30th birthday but a few days before we were at this bar and he did Creep on Karaoke... so now every time i hear this damn song I crumble... I hate it cause I loved this song, its a good song. I miss my brother.

Damon Smith

Kinda snippy aren't you?

Daniel Ketchum

LightsCameraJake

no go to HDTODAY.TV and it should be there

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

Damn, gotta wait until this hits Disney+ in like 2 weeks

Joits

You live your life based on rotten tomatoes?

jamie jones

A 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes tends to mean quite a bit though. Especially in this case where fake reviews motivated by prejudice aren't much of an issue.

Ed Green

You might want to watch AntMan, many give it bad ratings as they keep comparing every new movie to Endgame...and others are the ones who criticized it same as they did Captain Marvel

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

Ant man 3 leads into loki season 2. A few people hating it in the comments doesnt really mean much, the haters always have a loud voice. the movies not a masterpiece but its not bad.

jamie jones

Also Quantum Mania wasn't that bad. I get it that a lot of these early films do feel lacking, but we're coming down from the epic high stakes of Endgame with all the characters still. Besides... remembering back when Phase1 started, Iron Man was really the only well received Marvel flim. Both the first Thor and Cap movies were mostly panned as "not as good as Iron Man". Then once the first Avengers movie came out, it kind of elevated all the previous movies, so we'll have to see as things go forward. A complaint too seems to be that every film feels like a trailer for the next, but for me it's like a super high budget TV series. I've been more into television series over film for awhile now out of enjoyment for the long format storytelling and character growths.

SmokeAndACoffee

Dictator Nat 2024!!! <3 xD

SmokeAndACoffee

I think she already did

Alfredo

I really liked this one, not my favorite of the series, I liked the first 2 more but this, Shang-Chi and No Way Home are definitely my favorite phase 4 movies. Rocket's backstory is honestly my favorite part of the movie, it truly makes his behavior in the past films make so much sense, I always had a feeling he had a really tragic past like that. His cry when Lylla died is heart-wrenching and I like that they had Quill make a similar cry when Rocket is dying. Bradly Cooper like always nailed it out of the park! He has never once half-assed this character, you can tell he loves playing him, I always forget that it is him and I just hear the character. I love that they really explored their friendship, Quill even calling Rocket his best friend and seeing Nedula break down when she heard his voice was so well performed, sometimes we forget that she and Rocket spent the past 5 years alone with just the two of them, so they did create a special bond. Quill almost dying was really hard to watch, seeing Groot try reaching for him was so sad, along with everyone else's reaction (even though we didn't see one reaction from Gamora but whatever). I really liked the Adam character, he was just a powerful 5 year old and he ended up being very useful at the end, so he did serve a great purpose and he really was so funny. I like see Mantis be more assertive and coming into her own. And I love the bond that formed between Quill and Nedula as well, her defending him against Gamora was great! But I did have some major issues. My biggest one, Gamora. I thought they made her so unlikable, mean and not pleasant to watch most of the time. I get that she's not suppose to be the same Gamora but I don't really get that. It's just her from a few years earlier before she turned on Thanos, she shouldn't be that different. The only thing I do like about it is that it keeps what happened her in Infinity War relevant and not just a pointless death scene. But there should be a little bit of the former Gamora in there. The only time I thought "okay that feels like Gamora" was when she saved Rocket even though she had never met or knew him. I really hated her response when everyone went back to save the kids, like she was just going to let them die?? The former Gamora would have been the first to go back. And I hated that she went back to Ravengers, to me I felt like why even bring her back at all if that's how your going to end her story? Her practically being a thief. She should have stayed with them, I didn't need her and Quill back together, at this point I don't want them too because she's not likable anymore but this could have helped her character form connections. I get they tried to show that at the end with the Ravengers but nothing beforehand ever showed that and if they were her true family then why didn't she just say that instead of getting so hostel? Clearly they aren't bonded enough if she couldn't understand why they were trying to save Rocket so bad. I thought she honestly could have been written out and the story beats practically stay the same. I also didn't like that they split up at the end. I loved Quill going back to earth and reuniting with his grandpa that was so overdue but it felt empty to me. We don't really have any stability now, the Avengers are gone, no one knows who Peter Parker is, I didn't see Eternals or Thor Love and Thunder so I can't comment on them and now we have lost the Guardians, we need something to look forward to but other then Quill coming back and Shang-Chi we don't have that anymore right now. But that's just me.

Annie519

The actor for the High Evolutionary killed it hated him more than Thanos and Kilmonger. All the actors killed it ugh Rocket is the best

Narutoanime16

I like the idea that at the end we’ve learned to understand Groot. This is the best trilogy in the MCU. There may be better individual films, but none of them can match the character development of this team. The characters are just so well written over the course of the three films.

Byron

The "head of a dead god" refers to the Celestials as seen in Eternals! Knowhere is the head of a dead such Celestial.

Kayley Heymans

The second Creep started playing after the baby raccoon scene I knew I was in for a cry fest! I honestly haven't cried this much in a movie in a very long time. It definitely didn't help that animal cruelty stuff just gets to me so badly. This was one villain no one can have any defenses for, he's just selfish and evil. People cheered in the theater when his fake face gets ripped off and you see how badly Rocket damaged his real one. This also gives context to some rocket moments from other movies. For example, a lot of people say he became interested in body mods and robot parts from his time with batch 89. I'm not sure if its explicitly stated in the movie, but he is the one who upgraded Nebula's hardware and arm. I wonder if he ever thinks about how he could have done that for Lylla Teefs and Floor. I also read that the incident where those three are killed is why, in the first movie, he goes off on Drax for trying to stay and get revenge on Ronan instead of making sure his team got out safe. And in the second when he tries to get everyone to leave Ego even though Peter is behind. He blames himself for getting Teefs and Floor killed because he stayed to fight the High Evolutionary instead of running away with his friends. He didn't want his new family dying for the same reason. So much to think about after this movie! Also, Florence of Florence and the Machine has a small reaction to her song being featured in the ending and it's super cute, I recommend yall look it up!

Hannah Saadallah

The only thing you need to know from quantumania is that it's MAYBE setting up a new villain. Anything you need to know before he shows up again you could probably glean from a quick plot summary lol. If you don't want to watch it, then you definitely don't have to. I've skipped "vital" movies in the MCU before and I never had any trouble understanding what's going on in big ones like Avengers.

Hannah Saadallah

You don't understand in quantomania, the villain is going to be the villain of the next saga. It may not be the best but it's very important.

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

I’ll keep this on the back burner. Hard to justify buying it when it will soon be out on Disney+. Don’t rush reacting to quantumania. Very disappointing. Please don’t forget Bad Sisters & shrinking on Apple. I know it’s of your target audience but I’ve seen a lot of support for it here in patreon. Love you Nat ✌️💙

Trish Murphy

Not going to repeat what everyone else is saying, just watch Quantumania :P It's far from the best but it's very watchable and is important to see.

Heliastein

Well, potentially the new big villain. I guess they can recast, but obviously Jonathan Majors’s role in the MCU is up in the air right now given the allegations against him. If they part ways, it’ll be interesting how they pivot in terms of either recasting (which is very doable with that character) or regrouping and changing course.

Jeff K

i liked the first two and hated the third one. only questions are about kang which was severely underdeveloped as well as the rest of the movie itself

TokyoLopez

You need to watch Quantumania as it sets up/introduces the next big villain for the next few years. More dangerous than Thanos. Cosmo the dog is male in the comics, but is voiced by actress Maria Bakalova in this and the Holiday Special. Gunn confirmed we were finally able to understand Groot at the end because we had been around him long enough to finally know what he is saying. A perfect way to end this groups journey. "The Legendary Starlord" was its own comic line for a while so we may be getting solo Peter adventures. You're not caught up on Marvel...and you know that.

Robert Miller

Antman & the wasp 3 isn’t that bad if you liked 1 & 2 then you will like 3 plus it has the main villain of the new saga of the MCU so don’t skip it some questions are going to be brought up in future mcu movies and you’ll be confused on who’s these characters

Daniel Casillas

I’ve been saying that.

Blaise Uzomah

She hasn’t watched Ms Marvel yet either.

Blaise Uzomah

I love this movie - definitely my favourite Marvel. I cried with you (and I’ve already seen it) but when Rocket sees the baby raccoons, hoo boy. I think the high evolutionary works really well as a villain because he doesn’t have those redeeming qualities or nuances. We’ve sort of been shaped over the past few decades to expect bad people to be complicated and sincere and heroes, especially Marvel and Disney heroes, to be misguided or confused about which side they’re on, Shield is secretly Hydra, T’Challa doesn’t know his father is a murderer,Peter gives the glasses to Mysterio, Carol is brainwashed by the Kree, the Eternals don’t realise they’re meant to destroy earth. It’s just Yeats; “the best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity.” I’m glad Gunn got to make the movie he wanted and that it was this beautiful and colourful and over the top. Also, as a villain the high evolutionary is not far off the average Silicon Valley executive. How many monkeys did Elon kill trying to make neuralink work? This might be a sadistic request but I’d love to see an Okja reaction.

Jacob King

Nope.

Mastervodo

Natalie don't skip the ant-man movie

Sharaf Alhumid

i really loved this one, definitely tied with the first for me if not a tiny bit higher. i hope the guardians come back, i know zoe said she feels like she might step away from gamora now but i love her character too much, same goes for all of them

alejandro

Really glad that James Gunn was able to finish off his vision of the trilogy. Can’t imagine how anyone else would have tackled it because it’s such great film and conclusion to the Guardians of the Galaxy. I hadn’t teared up like that in a theater in years. Everyone did a phenomenal job especially Chukwudi. What a great villain. I’m really looking forward to James Superman film. Now about Ant Man. It’s really not that bad of a film. It’s not terrible or great. It’s somewhat of good film. It’s enjoyable. I think the hate for is overblown. But it is required to watch it going forward for the future Marvel films. For example the 2nd season of Loki. Otherwise you’re probably gonna be lost on everything.

NFXx

that's what I'm saying he going to be the main villain for the next 3 phases. all these movies are building up to fighting him.She cannot miss that movie

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

people also forgetting that the villain in that movie is literally going to be the main villain throughout the entire multiverse saga. She going to be so confused if she doesn't watch that Antman movie.

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

Maybe it's next.

Christopher Henderson

Natalie you CANNOT skip the ant-man movie.

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

I don't know why people are saying not to watch it. The villain is literally the big bag of this entire saga

DaSnazzyLion - DSL

Hoping so!

Logan Kerlee

so long as we are in a dictatorship, have you watch Real Steel? Also.... Zootopia, Tangled, Inside out, Wreck it Ralph? hehe Nebula is probably super angsty out of all of them after Rocket got hurt because she spent that much more time with him during the 5 years blip. You see how she broke down when she hear Rocket is okay. I hope we see these guardians in a future movie!

FatLittleButterfly

I watched this for the first time with you. HOLY CRAP, I WAS CRYING A LOT WITH THIS! xD An Uno Reverse Card! xD Wow, Natalie.. :P This movie was excellent. So much better than the second. The first still is my favorite of the series, though. HOLY CRAP THOUGH.. this made me emotional! Thank you for watching this Natalie! Like I said, first time watching this was with you. I'm glad that I waited! :D

Logan Kerlee

They prop will not, it looks like he's innocent

LeSteeler

Nebula has one of the best character arcs out of everyone in the MCU, from trying to kill the guardians to impress her father, to crying over saving one of their lives 😭 a true queen I liked the fact that for a villain who considered himself to be a god, he has a very human critical flaw - insecurity . Yeah he hams it up every now and then, but who doesn’t like a bit of campiness 😂 Also peter definitely would’ve died in that space scene 😭

Daniel McGuinness

We were with the guardians for so long we can now understand Groot. it was great.

Jesse Ortiz

Rocket has the most tragic backstories of any character, after I first saw this movie I was listening to this song and the word floor was one of the lyrics, and that made me think about Rocket and his friends and I couldn’t help but cry

Patrick Mitchell

🫤

Red_Iphone

Honestly, people complaining about film quality just don't remember some films in Phase 1 and phase 2. It's essential for setting up characters, plots, and growth. Might not be the best, but they are still enjoyable

FatLittleButterfly

Oh man I've missed Nat's Marvel movie reactions!

GoodDocGonzo

I think she should just watch AntMan Quantamania on her own time

carlos

You might be right tbh

calum1

So will Nat be reacting to She-Hulk??

George Baxter

Well since Multiverse of Madness. But there was also Werewolf by Night and Moonknight since then... honestly are the audience just spoilt brats??

George Baxter

I would argue that on a plot vs comedy level Thor Love and Thunder is a very flawed movie. It's so genuinely sarcastic about its own premise. If Thor Ragnarok was a subversion of the Thor films, Love and Thunder is a subversion of a subversion. A hat on a hat. You have Zeus being a child alongside a story about Jane dying of cancer! So much whiplash...

George Baxter

Nat definitely needs a What If episode where Rocket and his friends all make it out and live happily ever after lol.

JQ

It’s kind of interesting the High Evolutionary’s ship is called the Arete, which is the Greek word for excellence or reaching one’s full potential

Ben Wheeler

when i watched it in theatres i made sure i brought a lot of napkins, it still wasn’t enough, i had to keep handing them out to other people who forgot theirs next to me

TokyoLopez

I had suspicions that a Marvel watch would come out on my birthday and was glad it was this one! Aside from having IMO the best action sequence with the hallway fight, it was also the most emotional MCU movie for me. Thanks as always for your time with these reactions and have a great weekend!

Tony

oh dear, good thing i brought an umbrella

Zavooloo

YES!! I was hoping you'd watch this soon! 😁

Yani Dodge

This was a fun watch! I rewatched your Vol. 1 & 2 as I had a feeling this will pop up today, and the funny thing is you constantly asking in each one "I want to know Rocket's backstory". Very touching movie that really stayed with the emotions being invoked and the jokes that pop up don't undercut what is being said or felt.

Ernesto

I have a feeling with the Johnathan majors stuff going on they might change stuff in loki so idk .

Chris Guerrero

"My favorite in the Guardians is Rocket, hands down"...oh yea, get the tissues ready lol

JQ

Please don’t skip quantummania I wasn’t the biggest fan of it but it is huge for the story going forward, for loki season 2 and it introduces the next “thanos” level character in phase 4 so please if you have time do watch it

calum1

sorry to hear eegho ♥♥

Liam Harrold

James Gunn is a genius...can't wait for his new DCU and hopefully u react to those movies and shows as they release...there will be canon games in that universe u can play as well lol

LeSteeler

Btw the last "I love you guys" by Groot is because we, the audience, are part of the Guardians now and we can now understand him. James Gunn confirmed it!

Andy

Nat started crying at the sight of pretty much anything cute and furry.

Mastervodo

So sorry to hear buddy 😔🙏

Darryl Low

Definitely one of the better movies to come out of this phase, I enjoyed it a lot! Or maybe my standards were so beaten down after love and thunder, and Quantumania 🥴 either way it’s a pretty good movie x

Daniel McGuinness

First good MCU Movie in a loooooong time

Curaitis

Dictator Nat has rejected Ant Man 3 and as one of her citizens I will revolt (JK), in all seriousness if regular Nat has rejected Ant Man, maybe we can barter with Drunk Nat for a “Bad movie reaction”, hmmm 🤔

Singularpointzero

so much better than i was expecting, 9/10 they had one too many songs but overall so good!

Simon Bauer

Just FYI, GOTG3 should be rentable on Aug 1, no Disney+ date announced, but probably around then or a little later.

Tony Johnson

The Marvel burnout is real, completely understand. Grabbing the tissues before I watch though... because raccoons...

Slick447

Hi Nat, hope you've had a great week... I'm really looking forward to this as I lived the previous 2 films... Stay Golden....

Baggie Mark

Nah the marvel movies have genuinely at best been mediocre lately minus Guardians 3. If they were better the box office would reflect it. Don’t blame it on dumb cheap like fanboism

BobRooster

I think people’s expectations are so high after endgame, and I agree that not all the movies and shows are 10/10 but I enjoyed mostly all off them and I think Nat will too, if people didn’t just let her experience it herself and stoped telling her that they are awful, because she loved thor love and thunder and that has been one of the most hated movies I think but idk, that was my little rant sorry guys 😅

Saul Hernandez

I won't be watching this just because I don't think I can emotionally go thru that again. I will watch her YouTube reaction though because I'm sure this destroys her emotionally like it did to me

Lisa Tosti

I’m so tired of the “that’s not how it was in the comics” bs 🙄 bruh who cares lol most of the people who say that shit didn’t even read the comics

Jenny Tolls

A lot of it gets undeserved hate. Thor Love and Thunder in particular because it’s not precisely like the comics, or something. But she seemed to like that movie as I recall.

REDR58

Really bummed you’re skipping some marvel content, I have enjoyed them but i’m in the low percentage of people who have I guess, but maybe you’ll give it a chance in the future 🤞🏻😅

Saul Hernandez

Happy Friday nat just found out ten minutes ago one of my sister's has been diagnosed with bowel cancer so I'm not really in the right frame of mind to enjoy this rn so saving it for another time . Hope you have a fantastic weekend and the weather is better than it is here rn

Ian

YESSSSS!! Thank You Nat! IMO, the best Guardian movie of the series! James Gunn and Zoe Saldana did a fantastic job of honoring the character of Gamora & keeping with the story line. As much as we remember how sweet Gamora was on Vol 2, she's also a lethal, cold blooded assassin like in the comics and loved how she was portrayed on this movie! Awesome reaction by Nat! We all knew she would go through a box of tissues on this movie! This was fun!

Alan Felicia

Oh geez, Just watched this the other day, and my first thought after was "this is gonna wreck Nat in certain parts" *chuckles

SmokeAndACoffee

Let's get ready to cry. Because raccoons.

LJ Mickey

Nice! Just dropping in to say The Truman Show is a great movie, that i think Natalie would really appreciate. Have a good weekend!

EldrinJak

Nat was nice enough to let us know what the movie was today on her livestream yesterday! Right before she just started trying to randomly murder townsfolk in Valentine.

Mastervodo

Happy Feature Friday Nat. I wondered if you would have tissues at the ready for this one, but you've already answered that ha ha. Saw this movie when it was out, and boy it was an emotional ride. Can't wait to watch along with you today 🤗 Damn, I think we all needed that today Nat. The Guardians movies are always at their best when they're hitting you in the heart. Thanks for an amazing reaction today Nat, and thanks as always for all your awesome work this week and your livestream. Have a brilliant weekend 💛

Darryl Low

I knew it was going to be GOTG: Vol 3
