Suggestions for a Collab with Vkunia!

Hey y’all! Accidentally deleted the first post by accident. Apologies for that!

Collating with Vkunia while I’m in NY! Any suggestions for movies you’d like to see us watch together? Preferably, animated/lighthearted/comedic movies. We will likely do something scary for her channel and will need a break after haha.

Thanks!!

Comments

The Terminal ! (Tom Hanks)

Gary

40 Year Old Virgin !

Gary

Student Bodies ( the original Scary Movie), Top Secret, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

José R. Colón

Rango! Animated, beautiful, original, well crafted (seriously, check out the behind the scenes!), and funny. Love this flick!

Eric S

Comedies: Grumpy Old Men, Bull Durham, Airplane!, City Slickers, Noises Off.

Brian Mc

Are you really gonna do a collab with Vkunia? She's a lying, manipulative bitch!

Matthew Jaszyn

3 words Love, Death and Robots it's on Netflix choose episode called Beyond the Aquila Rift

Vince Ledezma

Please watch Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, an Indian movie that celebrates life friends, Romance Love & reunions. It's an available bother in Netflix and Amazon Prime. I prefer the Amazon Prime version becz there u would also have subtitles for the songs in the movie whereas Netflix doesn't. So; please watch this excellent film

Ahmad Zain

spirited away is good, my neighbor totoro, kikis delivery service, castle in the sky

flvrrvl

Watch classic 90s/2000s comedies/animated movies that you (both) haven’t seen and viewers would enjoy. The “must watch” stuff. I don’t have suggestions. Just watch the iconic stuff that will make the best reactions. Consider adult comedies and “gross out” stuff. Those are always entertaining.

ivan

Kill Bill vol 1 & 2?

Jeff Ketchledge

Cowboy Bebop is the only thing that matches all of your criteria. I have a DVD for season 1 that has only has the first 6 episodes on it. I used to sell Pirated Copies on E-bay back in collage. The first six episodes would sell for $200 each, and people were happy to get them. So I know that the Cowboy Bebop series is (or was) VERY Popular

Aaron Taft

I'd choose one of the Studio Ghibli movies, but I think I remember Vick saying she's had issues with those in the past. If you want lighthearted, funny, heartwarming movies, you couldn't do better than "The Gods Must Be Crazy" 1 and 2, "Princess Bride", and "Big". Honorable mention would be "Megamind", "Raising Arizona", and "Still Crazy"

Tom Malmin

oh man this is a tough one. both of you guys are in my top tier ranks in reaction video channels on both YT and patreon..... well, i would love to see both you you guys' reaction to Jungle cruise. i don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but its quite enjoyable with the action, the Indiana jones vibes, and the humor. The Rock portrays his character tremendously! perhaps, if you have time and if you both havent seen them, make it a trilogy reaction. maybe you both can watch the Jurassic "World" trilogy to see what happens years after Jurassic Park. plus a trilogy reaction would add a lot of hype to the collab! once again tho, only if you have time lol Also i love both of you guys btw, you were both the ones to convince me to make a patreon account and you were the first ones for me to ever support on patreon. thank you for all your reactions and content and for just being your awesome selves <3 ive hoped this day would come. now that it's finally gonna happen, i'm super excited and am filled with hope again! cant wait to see what you guys watch together! i'll start getting my drinks and snacks ready for the day lolol ^-^

Ricky Perez

I think Rise of the Guardians is a great animated film. I haven't seen it in years but remember really enjoying it when I was younger. Or maybe 22 Jump Street since you've already watched 21 Jump Street.

Steven Hok

Ghibli's movies are always good options

Checo Lara

spirited away for sure

Zuhl

Spirited Away or anything Ghibli :)

Jake w

Ah crap you're right! I completely forgot about that and wasn't thinking about it.

El_Zilcho22

21 Jump Street as well

Chris Moon

The 5 Heartbeats

Jimathai

Avatar the Way of Water, Remember the Titans, and Encanto are available ... Encanto is actually what eventually led me here. Friday would be excellent!

Jimathai

His Girl Friday is the greatest movie of all time. I know it'll never make the cut. A vote of one.

Michael Butler

lol

Dooly

Love her channel too! JJ Abrams Star Trek (2009) or the first Mission Impossible would be soo fun to see you all do. Looking forward to whatever you choose!

DDK

One of the most offbeat fun movies written by Bob Gale of Back to the Future fame was Interstate 60.

William Watson

😂 love ur reactions. My suggestion: Kubo and the Two Strings. Greatest stop-motion animation movie of all time! Amazing movie. ✌️

Tobi-Wan Rodriguez

Go old school - The Court Jester with Danny Kaye. Trust me.

History Nuggets

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid - is a TREASURE! Great call!

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

IK the movie to watch for both of y'all!!!! THIS IS THE END!!!!

Christopher Henderson

they will nuke the channel.. Studio Ghibli is scary strict with copyright stuff..

Gunnar Rea

Mr Right- 2015. Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick and Tim Roth in very funny, action packed love story. I know you'll love it 💜

Lilla Kriger

Osmosis Jones would be a fun watch.

Jacob Rodriguez

The Hunger Games Avatar: The Way of Water 21 Jump Street Encanto Sausage Party Sing Friday 8 mile Boyz N The Hood Remember The Titans Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Hate U Give Hidden Figures

Alvin Everett

The Odd Couple (1968) Classic

Jeff Mills

Oh haha I didn't realize you were expecting to watch something "scary" for VKunia's channel... but she had asked for "fun film suggestions" instead... Also you asked for "animated" suggestions but she has seen most of the good ones like Your Name (2016) and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006)... Nausicaa (1984) etc. It's like the story where the girl cuts her long hair to sell it so that she can buy a present for her friend while the friend bought her a hair clip and they both laugh when they exchange gifts...

Mannygogou

I probably saw it in the theater...

Mannygogou

Go thumb up the ones you like if they've already been suggested. I'm scrolling around now looking... lol

Mannygogou

I second for Iron Giant, just make sure you each have your own box of tissues.

Joel Palenychka

I second for Bedazzled

Joel Palenychka

Ahh super cool. Two of my favorite reactors! Studio Ghibli film could be cool, except I think Vkunia has seen them all. What about Robin Hood Men in Tights by Mel Brooks?

NobleSon32

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid If you want something fun and unexpected/little known TinTin for something more mainstream... Disney's Robin Hood I don't think needs a reason given.

Misty Crom

Any Studio Ghibli film. Like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc.

El_Zilcho22

Paul, with Nick Frost, Simon Pegg and Seth Rogen.

Damon Smith

Nimona or megamind!

Julia Doss

Saw someone else mention Drop Dead Gorgeous! Absolute hidden gem! A normal video/general recommendation as well is The Hunt for Red October, Crimson Tide, and/or U-571

Aidan Burns

Spy with Melissa mcarthay or Paddington

Sion Williams

Maverick Blast from the Past Free Guy Bedazzled

Chief

This movie is an underrated masterpiece

Chief

Mannequin

Michael Mammano-Cheydleur

The Iron Giant is a great watch. Bugs Life is the best Pixar joint yet, not to be missed! There is an old, trippy Psychedelic animated film called Fantastic Planet. It's kind of long, but would be very fun to comment along with!

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

I was going to suggest this too but I also follow VKunia's content and unfortunately, she has already done a reaction to it.

Patrick F

Tangled is an underrated gem. Megamind too.

matthew h

The Silver Streak. Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder

Texadan

Pootie Tang

Dooly

I would suggest Sandlot since it is summer and you are looking for a more lighthearted movie. One of the best summer movies if you ask me.

Mario Serra

So, I Married an Axe Murderer

Magnus Thor Magnusson

Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) Most underrated comedy ever, incredible cast.

Jordan Love

The movie 9

Joseph McNerny

We are the millers, since you already watched Ted Lasso

Jayson Phillips

I commented on her channel when she asked for suggestions already, but I'll put mine down here too, just in case. I recommend either Just Married with Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy or a sillier, but still really good student parody film called George Lucas In Love.

Kevin Bartelen

Jojo rabbit

calum1

The Naked Gun!

Dennis Macko

Super Mario Bros movie or Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory

Ernesto

Could get Vkunia to watch Avatar the last airbender to see if she likes it and continues it on her own chanel?

James Bartley

Ted

James Bartley

Instant Family

James Bartley

Any time you ask for an animated movie, I’m going to suggest “Your Name”, which is not light hearted all the way through, but based on your previous reactions, I am confident you would really love it.

Anonymous User

Oohh collabs are exciting! I’d love to see you collab with Cinebinge and/or Popcorn in Bed!

Chris Moon

Mission impossible ghost protical

James Bartley

Fantastic beasts

James Bartley

Johnny English

James Bartley

What We Do in the Shadows (the movie, rent on Prime) See No Evil, Hear No Evil (Gene Wilder & Richard Prior, on MAX)

Lizzy Gucker

I looked an Vkunia has apparently. A shame.

Jason Gillman

I was about to suggest a couple movies but then saw that over 200 people are making suggestions lmao there’s no way she’s gonna read mine 😅

Jenny Tolls

Low Down Dirty Shame, I’m Gonna Get You Sucka, Labyrinth, Howard the Duck

Veronica Daye West

Should watch Friday the funniest hood movie ever made

Daniel Casillas

So many options. Animated: Iron Giant (2d Animation), Kubo and the Two Strings (Stop Motion Animation), Rango (3d Animation) Comedy/Crime: Nice Guys, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Bullet Train Adventure/Fantasy: Stardust, Life of Pi, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (The movie) Action: Man on Fire

KoolKamal

Alita: Battle Angel. Just a great movie over all.

John K

Have eother or you guys seen what we do in the shadows(movie) its pretty hilarious

Rey

Lego Batman

LJ Mickey

I second this!

Brent giesbrecht

Free Guy!!!!

Josh Noe

Yeah. Nimona's the best movie I've seen so far this year.

Kevin Mowery

Love Real Genius. I think Vkunia might have already watched The Breakfast Club on her channel (but I'm too lazy to look it up to confirm).

Kevin Mowery

Seconding Clue.

Kevin Mowery

Seconding Office Space, definitely.

Kevin Mowery

Animated... CLEVER: the new Chip and Dale movie (Disney+) ADORABLE: Paddington 2 (it's okay if you haven't seen the 1st one) COMEDY: Lego Batman

Adam Doyle

If Vee's picking horror then I'll repost what I told her. Mystery Men (1999) Before Invincible made us afraid of superheroes, before The Boys made us despise superheroes, before Watchmen made us say "why is that superhero naked all the time?"... Ben Stiller and the rest of The Mystery Men made us laugh at superheroes.

Jordan Love

When Ted is done, check out Silo on Apple TV!

Garrett Wolf

Coco 🤗

DevilsQueen

Studio Ghibli is notorious for copyright strikes on YouTube channels. Good luck getting any reactor to watch that.

Jordan Love

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is truly excellent. But I can't imagine she hasn't already seen it.

Berry

@Eric Game Night it is then!

Erik Stevenson

It's an Apple TV+ film, but I think Luck would be great! It's very funny and endearing.

Pennie

I’ve seen all but such fantastic choices. YOU THREW OFF MY GROOOOVE

Natalie Gold

Oh I’ve seen it! Those are MY PEOPLE haha

Natalie Gold

Beautiful movie but I don’t wanna cryyyyy haha

Natalie Gold

inception243

Grew up with that one! It’s beautiful

Natalie Gold

AMERICA, FUCK YEAHHHH!

Natalie Gold

Omg I love Armageddon He’s got SPACE DIMENSIAAA

Natalie Gold

FRAU BLUCHER!

Natalie Gold

You should watch namona if you haven't already

Paul R Peddy

🤣

Omni Jacala

I saw someone mention Joe Vs the Volcano, and decided it needed a bump so it doesn't get completely lost in the crowd. Early Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan goodness that doesn't get the love it deserves.

Eric Bogerd

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension - Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum. Weird and wacky!

Sean Obrock

Love Onward. Sad that it got lost in the early panic days of Covid.

Nathan Swapp

Jojo Rabbit

Delford Chaffin

ONWARD (2020) animated light-hearted comedy... starring some of your recent popular actors, I don't see either of you have reacted to it. The other animated films I like I just hearted them like Wreck-It-Ralph. The original Jumanji is good too.

Mannygogou

Free Guy (2021) or if you want a more "classic" then how about Office Space (1999)

AZalan

Nimona for sure, it's one of the best movies I've seen in a while!

Asha Hayes

animated light-hearted, South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut (1999). How could anyone not like little kids animated in a unique endearing style and where they sometimes sing a little song. Lots of laughter.

Mannygogou

The Core (2003) science fiction adventure. Set on planet Earth ooh yea.

Mannygogou

Was just reminded of this movie, Heavyweights.

Nathan Swapp

Joe VS the Volcano (1990) where you'll see famous actors in earlier roles. Written and directed by John Patrick Shanley. This is light-hearted but may also stir something inside to cause your heart to swell and explode, in a light-hearted way 🙂

Mannygogou

Red 1& 2

Javier Uranga

Nimona

Ksweets

limitless

Dale Diaz

Captain Fantastic. Into The Wild (2 of my favorite films)

Vidal (BillyG!) Gomez jr

Alan Felicia

this is easy = "Free Guy"

Alan Felicia

Loaded Weapon 1 an underrated spoof film.

Sean

Wreck-it Ralph

Chris Moon

Secondhand Lions

Jason Galbraith

Hell yeah, sexy saxophone man!

David Sumner

My mind is blank: (Except for campy horror. The Lost Boys Vamp

Marcus Powell

Secondhand Lions Billy Elliot Stardust Little Miss Sunshine These are all pretty light hearted movi3s. Billy Elliot does have a few serious moments, but nothing overly drawn out.

Troy

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent Hamlet 2 Your Name Renfield

Steven

Ready Player One is also just a fun movie to watch with friends.

Nathan Swapp

You've Got Mail is my comfort movie and would be *my* personal go-to after a horror. Both that and When Harry Met Sally have such beautiful shots of NY. They both make you want to walk around the city and find all their shooting locations.

Greta Buskirk

Baggie Mark

Guillermo del toro's Pinocchio

xavier munden

Wolfwalkers is a good animated film if you can find it.

Baggie Mark

If you want a comedy horror then you can’t really go wrong with Army of Darkness. It’s so Groovy.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

Wow! WOW! I haven't seen so many comments go up so fast in response to a recommendation post! Nimona I hope will be a strong contender. The Grand Budapest has been mentioned a lot. I absolutely think Arachnaphobia would be a BLAST of a reaction video! Incredibles good. Wreck it Ralph is also very good. You both would love it, and will want to watch the 2nd one. It's awesome you two are doing this! We love it!

Mastervodo

Both have seen Tucker & Dale.

Mastervodo

I think this guy is just trolling.

Mastervodo

I think one or both of them have watched Blazing Saddles. Incredibles would be solid.

Mastervodo

Akira - No go due to Copyright, but also Vkunia has watched it.

Mastervodo

Pretty sure Vkunia has watched Free Guy. Jumanji is a good time. I think both would be surprised how good it is.

Mastervodo

If neither have seen Inside Out, that is perfect! Both Wreck it Ralphs are great, but I would want them both to see the 2nd one together 1st time, because of the plot that relates to both of them.

Mastervodo

This would be a good, current animated movie that neither have seen yet. I hope this is a top contender.

Mastervodo

napoleon dynamite/ or the “live action” garfield movie, which is animated i suppose. pretty wholesome movie from 2004

TokyoLopez

Nimona

Leigh P

SilentBobFather

mrhalfbit

Wall-e Bug's Life Ratatouille The Emperor's New Grove

Zavooloo

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On! It's a fantastic, seamless mix of live action and stop motion animation. Currently it has 98%/90% on Rotten Tomatoes and it did not get anywhere near the attention it deserved when it came out last summer.

G. T. Blackwell

Co-sign Game Night is great!

Kelvin

Matt D

I'd love to see the 2 of you react to the mel gibson movie "maverick". It's a comedy!

Endling_king

Animated? Lighthearted? Given VK's channel started out with Japanese anime reactions, what about "Project A-Ko" or "Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer"? (She's already done the Studio Ghibli's, Your Name, and Castle of Cagliostro.)

Eric Janssen

For her channel, you should watch the new Evil Dead movie. "EVIL DEAD RISE"

David Nesbit

Also throwing out for consideration "The Frighteners" a Peter Jackson & Michael J. Fox fun horror comedy

Seth Brower

The movie "Sully" True story about the miracle on the Hudson starring Tom Hanks.

LightsCameraJake

Game Night would be great for a straight up comedy, or Nice Guys for some serious with your funny

Calo Grsf

KingsCustard

Maybe an old Disney animated that you haven't seen/haven't seen in awhile? Like Incredibles or Lilo and Stitch 😁

Yani Dodge

Nimona is a fun new animated movie!

SLAPAPOW

Anything animated Japanese at all, really. They are incredibly hostile to reaction content and just...content in general. That's why it's always smart to avoid anime and stuff all together, sadly since Ghibli is wonderful content.

Cuttlefish

Titanic or Pearl Harbor

Colton Pickarts

a lot of y'all keep suggesting anime, especially ghibli and that's not gonna work. They get claimed soooo fast.

djKENTO

Armageddon

David Crabtree

Funimation currently owns the rights to Akira in the US and they don't play when it comes to copyright strikes

djKENTO

Sorry homie but Ghibli is a no go on Youtube pretty much. They always copyright claim and Vkunia already almost lost her channel to them.

djKENTO

save for Christmas tho.

djKENTO

Ghibli is basically impossible on youtube. Vkunia almost got her channel scrubbed for reacting to Ghibli already. Sorry homie.

djKENTO

The Other Guy 2010 with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell NY theme

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

Seth Brower

The nice guys

Dominic McComber

Nimona

Marcus Hardy

Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro on Netflix!

Dallas Luna

Pleasantville. I’m pretty sure that both of you will like this film. Plus I don’t know of any reactors that have done this one and I can’t be the only one out here wanting to see a Pleasantville reaction. Reese Witherspoon, Toby Maguire, Joan Allen, William H Macy, Jeff Daniels, Paul Walker, J.T. Walsh, and Don Knotts - what more could you want?

Daniel Goldberg

The Mitchell's vs the machines and Nimona, both on Netflix and both criminally underrated. Both would land in the top 5 of my favorite animated films released in the last 10 years.

Wil Morales

I second this one!

Emily Albaugh

Lego movie is incredible or Lego Batman if you’ve seen the original!

Stephanie

I think "Mars Attacks!" would be a great weird goofy fun reaction that's perfect for both of your personalities. It's one of my favorite Tim Burton movies and it's just ridiculous in the best way!

DaftBasterd
