"protect his citizens" as if the best way to do that isnt to never let Vaatu escape in the first place. he was probably negatively swayed by Varrick but still a bad decision

2023-08-15 17:51:05 +0000 UTCHad the realization today that Bolin is Joey Tribbiani lol I feel like, growing up, Bumi really enjoyed listening to Aang and Sokka’s stories of their adventures, and picked up the habit of grandiosity. And Even though he’s not an Airbender, he truly embodies his father’s carefree mentality that essentially allowed him to Jar-Jar Binks his way through problems. Tenzin and Bumi compliment each other really well I think. Brothers who emulate their father in very particular and different ways that have put them at odds and left them envious of one another’s perceived privilege. Also Mako has made a lot of mistakes, but I do empathize with his situation. He’s seen first hand how the status of their relationship affects Korra’s focus and confidence. He’s thinking, if he breaks up with the Avatar right before the final battle to save the world, and she loses, it will be his fault. Being in a relationship with the Avatar would be a huge burden to carry. But yeah ultimately toxic. They’re just not ready for the responsibility. And poor Asami doesn’t deserve it.

2023-08-14 22:55:10 +0000 UTCI'm gonna have to hard disagree about Korra's not knowing what to say being cheesy writing, I take that as a sign of her character growth--I don't think* S1/S2 Korra, before Beginnings, would have ever just let a pregnant silence speak for itself like that.

I've got no idea on season 3 but according to some of the folks on here - it's the best one of all! So that's exciting! :) Won't be upset if you choose to take a break from Korra but I'm enjoying it.

2023-08-14 20:28:48 +0000 UTCBumi isn't an idiot 😅 being goofy and liking to deliver stories doesn't make you dumb Natalie, it makes sense for Bumi since he's literally a military veteran, with an almost Sokka like sense of comedy and Bumi levels of thinking outside the box. Korra not knowing what to say because she's literally 17 and not being able to say that they might not walk back out isn't lazy writing at all. Its.... how someone would respond. Not everyone grasps the stakes like she does because she saw it first hand. Spiritually, the others don't fully know who Vaatu is, plus, Bolin is the one who asked, and he's also very young, and definitely naive to the goings on of the fight that lies in front of them so its not that crazy a thing for Korra taking a breath of sadness because she can't muster up the words. Season 2 is messy here and there, but come on, these are nitpicks to the max lol Can't wait for the finale! (if you're doing a double drop)

Going to miss watching along to that great show 😊 Let's see how Korra repairs the damage today. Well we got started on damage control, but never got very far. The second episode was certainly a lot better than the first. Kinda goofy, and I'm glad that Varrick is out of the picture, and hopefully out of the show. I just found him so annoying, which I guess was the point of him. The stakes are high for these next 2 episodes. Look forward to seeing how things turn out. Thanks for a fun video today Nat 💛
