Help me pick a NATMARES movie!

Well it's really just my opinion but, short answer: The Conjuring is just big studio cookie cutter jump scare reliant horror - nothing artistic or interesting about it.

All of them were good choices for Natmares, but I have to recommend Trick 'r Treat (2007) because it's the ULTIMATE Halloween-themed movie. It is a must-watch Hallowe'en masterpiece! Hopefully it'll make it into the Natmares poll next year.

I think I figured out the equation the sadist use to chose which horror film they vote for. The one that has the most jump scares always gets the most votes. Just for the record. Horror that relies on jump scares isn't scary, it's just startling. You can pretty much get the same effect from any cheap haunted house at halloween.

Honestly I saw EVIL DEAD 2 first. ED2 covers the same ground, but with a better budget and a sharper wit. But the first gets great reactions and if you don’t start with 1 you’ll never hear the end of it.

Unrelated to natmares season, but I’ve been watching Ahsoka lately and I was nervous about it meeting my expectations before it’s release but it’s so GOOD! Star Wars is back, baby *finger guns* Anyway, with the final season of Korra quickly coming up, it made me want to recommend The Clone Wars for a future animated show poll again! Doesn’t have to be the next, but it’s never too late to dig in to that story 😊

I was going to vote for the best film, It Follows, but it has no chance. So I voted for the the second best film, Evil Dead, because it has a slight chance at least. None of the rest were worth voting for (I would vote for Ringu but not the US version, The Ring)

It Follows has my vote. It left an impression on me - it still had flaws of course, but I liked its simplicity and the way it was filmed. I also like The Ring, and the Conjuring series is an interesting one - kind of funny at times (to me) but also scary.
