As much as I've loved ATLA, I've enjoyed Korra more, and the fact that the show can so expertly view relevant social and political movements through the lens of a kids show -- well, technically a YA show -- is one of the reasons why. This show was ahead of its time, both for its strong female representation and for having a finger on the pulse of real world issues.

Well damn, I had half a paragraph written, but you called out your pimple patch before I could

Okay it’s obvious but I gotta say it, it’s tradition at this point Season 1: Equality Season 2: Theocracy Season 3: Anarchy Season 4: Fascism The cycle is complete! You can now write a convincing enough high school history paper with knowledge from Legend of Korra! I love this show man

Happy Monday Nat. Hope you're not too disheartened about your birds yesterday. They'll be back stronger next time 🦅 Sorry you're feeling under the weather. Hope you feel more like yourself soon. Really enjoyed today's reaction. Everybody coming together trying to tip the balance and do the right thing. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out 💛

Did you mean the new show, Gen V? Because she's reacted to all 3 current seasons of The Boys

Avatar: The Legend of [20th Century Political Movements] Book 1: Communism Book 2: Theocraticism Book 3: Anarchism Book 4: Fascism Like the other seasons and villains, I do also like that we get a sense that Kuvira, somewhere along the line, had a point--if you can stop harm but choose not to, aren't you effectively yourself contributing to that harm? If Su refused to step in, she likely felt she had no choice but to try to help, and you can see that in their flashback interaction: Kuvira does have a genuine desire to help her nation.
