I mean wanting land back under its original owners is a questionable motive, especially since all the leaders it was originally under are dead and a lot of the people too. but it is out of line to go about it the way she is. And as far as we can tell through the show, everyone living in the United Republic enjoys being there, like the most pushback we got was from non-benders. no one was forced out when it was created. People are being forced out under Kuvira. She isn't helping people, she cares more about the territory.

And stop I was gonna comment on Tenzin looking slick in the new digs!! 😭 I agree tho I love the OG robes, but the wing suits have their place I feel 😌 also not to pop up the most outdated trivia but did everyone know JK Simmons was Tenzin??? Rewatching invincible and it all clicked, I’m spiralling rn “Su, may I please beat the shit out of your son?” 😂 literally!

Sorta reminds me of Robot Jox (olllld terribly cheesy sci fi movie). xD Looking forward to more and the upcoming conclusion. :) I wonder what we'll be watching next! Any ideas, Patrons?

Republic City used to be Earth territory, then during the hundred year war the fire nation put up colonies in the area as they conquered what territory they could. After Aang ended the war he and Zuko decided to turn those colonies into a city that all nations could call home (Detailed in the comics). Kovira want's that territory back as well, She wants ALL former earth territories back, united under one rule.

2023-10-31 19:49:25 +0000 UTCA lot of people in the fandom hate the giant mech and find it too out of place, which I've never really understood to be honest. As big as that mech is, it's still maybe 1/10th the size of the giant drill the fire nation built 75 years before. It's also why she took down Zaofu's domes, to have the platinum to build the giant mech. Kuvira's opinion about what the Earth Kingdom should be isn't an uncommon one either--the creation of republic city on Earth Kingdom land was a huge sticking point in the comics, and you even had people like Avatar Roku in ATLA insisting that there should always be 4 nations. It's an interesting question, and one that is frequently still brought up in the 21st century--at what point does (in your view) stolen land cease to rightfully be yours?

She definitely did build an evil Iron Giant 😀 I think you're right about them saving time and money on some sequences, and using a lot of still shots and empty frames. I'm guessing the robot is done with CG and would add to the budget. Can't wait to see how it all ends. Thanks for a great reaction today Nat 💛
