Right when the black out thing happened I thought of Cate's powers to make people forget things right away. Also Cate was suspect from the first scene in episode 1

I love how they don't drag out this who dun it and sort of speed through it by planting so many seeds earlier on in the series. This concept has been used in TV so often that I find myself waiting for the part where the case gets "blown wide open" but this show executes the trope so we'll i almost didn't want it to end!

Like you said, we were starting to get ahead of the characters in what we know is going on, but this evened the playing field.
