It's finally time for the season FINALE! This show has been a WILD (and gruesome) ride and this final episode was no different! I loved the cliffhanger ending and can't wait to see how they continue this story later down the line.

Also Cate seems like she will inevitably die in future seasons or The Boys seasons. She is beyond saving at this point and almost on the level of Stormfront and Homelander with kill everyone to get the job done

It was very obvious how much you enjoyed most of it, and that made it infectious (but not yet airborne). next Boys season is too far off. Please accelerate time, Natalie. Thank you.

2023-12-07 02:51:52 +0000 UTCi still don't hate cate or sam. they grew up in solitary confinement, with no love and no humans that truly cared about them. i think they're really different from homelander though, in the sense that they're much younger and truly believe what they're doing is right. it doesn't justify anything they did this episode though, i just feel bad for all these supes who have such sad upbringings

I dont think any of the escapees were infected. The infected died pretty quick. I think you need a concentrated direct dose to kill a supe.

2023-12-06 06:46:30 +0000 UTCthat deflating note as homelander arrives is sooo good someone said that cate's touch is the last thing grounding her to her power. i imagine she is now in a full mind-control supervillain arc. along with sam now being a sociopathic supervillain and MARIE took a homelander blast! along with her new power discoveries, she's so cool!

2023-12-05 22:31:45 +0000 UTCHomelander saved Cate & Sam because they agreed that superheroes are superior to humans, after seeing firsthand how The Woods treated superheroes. The episode that was in Cate’s head, showing Shetty was the first person she had a connection with in 9 years & then her slowly realizing it was all manipulation and betrayal lead Cate to this path. Sam knowing Andy, also would know if the virus is infectious, and Dr. Cardosa & Dean Shetty were killed before they could make it airborne. Also, I think Cate is gonna be able to grow to use her powers with her mind. I think Cate & Sam are in Vought tower medical facility while Marie, Jordan, Andre & Emma are in El Mira Adult Facility. Cate is my favorite, her backstory is so sad and heartbreaking, you can tell she didn’t want to manipulate her friends, and when the one person that she thought loved her the most, betrayed her, she had to stop everything in The Woods. I love Marie, Sam & Emma too.

Personally I absolutely loved Jordan and Emma from this season, just really engaging and interesting characters, and unique twists on some superhero powers that was a really interesting change of pace.

One episode even takes place within the comic continuity. However the last episode, episode 8 “One plus one equals two” is 100% canon and only 15 min long and definitely worth a watch. Would be a nice patreon exclusive Christmas present don’t you think?

I'm heading off shortly to Edinburgh to see The Darkness in concert. Must be about the 10th time or more I've seen them now 😄 It's the 20th anniversary of their first album. Look forward to watching your reaction when I get back 😊 Your commentary was around 5 or 6 seconds ahead of the visuals, but I managed to get it synced close enough. I really enjoyed this finale and your reaction today Nat. I wondered if Homelander would show up at the end and he did, right on cue ha ha. A lot of story beats still left unanswered, and hopefully we will get the details in the next season of The Boys. Can't wait to watch that when it comes out.
