It's time for a brand new series! Also, yes, I will also be watching Band of Brothers (starting next week). I just decided to move forward with both of the shows since they're so short and Band of Brothers was a very close second in the last poll.

Outside of being Luke Skywalker, he has had a very long and celebrated voice acting career, including The Joker in the DC Animated Universe and the Batman Arkham video games, The Trickster in every DC universe ever (probably), Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender, something like over 70 characters in Regular Show, that one horned alien that gets beheaded in The Rise of Skywalker ("Win the war!"), friggin' Darth Bane the creator of the Sith Rule of Two in The Clone Wars, a number of roles in Studio Ghibli films, and so many many other roles. He was also the Chanukah Zombie on Futurama.

I remember first watching it back when I was in 10th grade during my history class. I think that I've watched the shoe entirely like 8 times now, 100% down for a 9th!

Everything'll calm down though - you know, so don't stress too mudh! :) Huge fan of you watching two different shows for so many reasons! I love both series as well - so I'm happy on multiple counts! xD As for the future, yeah, moving to a movie schedule may be for the best. While yeah, I definitely prefer series' content I'm 100% down to watch films with ya. Provided the polls are what I'm into, of course. Let's get to the show indeed! This show is FUCKING fun! lmao, parodies for sure. Nope, nope, nope. He's part vultrimite which means he's part alien. Everyone else is ordinary human. Burger Mart. yeah. Same difference though. :P hahahaha, everything will make sense soon. This isn't purely a parody show. Yes, it's characters are very similar to other heroes but it's also pretty different from other shows of this sort. No - nobody knows who his father is. Same as Clark Kent - no one knew who he was, despite him working a public job with many friends. lol, if he were to get lost, he'd just have to fly until he finds a recognizable landmark and go from there. LMAO Love your reaction to the slaughter! xD I could 100% see that you were bored to tears during the episode itself but the end hooked ya! :) Makes me happy! This show's awesome, plain and simple. Really looking forward to future episodes. :D

2023-12-19 14:05:56 +0000 UTCIn comics language they would use the word analogue to describe these kinds of characters. As in, Omni-man is a Superman analogue. It’s a useful term because it doesn’t imply anything else about them but if you get it you understand a character’s main deal. All the Guardians are Justice League analogues as you picked up (except the Immortal? Hmm) but other characters are pulled from a wider range of sources. My favourite joke in this episode is when Mark thinks about calling himself Ass-Kicker but dismisses it for being needlessly juvenile. This is a dig at Kick-Ass the needlessly juvenile comic book and movie of the same name.

2023-12-19 01:13:32 +0000 UTCI try to keep an appreciation for voice actors, and within the star studded, talented cast that this show has (star studded usually being something that makes me wary to see, but there are lot of established VAs in the cast too), I'm so impressed with Steven Yeun as Mark in this every time I watch it. There's a great clip of him in the recording booth during the latest S2 episode (the clip is very spoilery so I won't link it here) but he's giving it his all and it's just great to see. Sandra Oh is also excellent as Debbie, they lend so much to their characters. I love their scene in the back yard here.

Really love how you popped for that wild finale. you mentioned the word Parody a lot, and I wouldn’t say this is a parody as much as it a genuinely earnest shot at a new Super Hero legacy. The heroes who are familiar are less parody and more homage so you understand the stakes. You recognize them, do the substitution in your mind so you know what kinds of characters and what powers we’re talking about… and then THAT gives you reference for just how strong Omni-Man truly is. The rest of the show really does it’s own thing from here on out. It’s funny sure, but I’ve cried more at this show than I’ve laughed. haha.

Which is why she has said she will not risk it. BES is a French/American collab. Again - she may not watch BES. I'm just trying to say that you should not get any hopes up for any anime series ever being watched by Nat. I am not speaking for Nat, I'm just repeating what I have heard from her several times over the last year 1/2 I've been watching her.

This series is based on a comic book series that has ended (144 issues) and I've read the whole shebang. There's like at least 5 seasons of material over several years in this IP. Don't know how long it will last, but I hope it will stay popular enough to at least get to the ...... highlight let's say..... of the series!

There's hardly any blood when fighting the Maulers in the beginning, or when Invincible fights the rock guy or the laser hand guy. All for the final fight sequence to be most impactful 😁
