Help me pick a movie!
Added 2024-01-03 14:00:06 +0000 UTCIt's time for the first movie poll of the year!
Quick disclaimer: I have seen Kill Bill, but have been DYING to rewatch those films since I don't remember a ton.
Comments
I was going to say you don't understand the movie, but then remembered you said you haven't seen it before. It's a great beloved movie, which is why it won the poll lol

2024-01-23 17:49:06 +0000 UTCI know this is such a late reply.. but I believe what I said is in the trailer. I think the spoiler would be if I were to give character names. But I understand what youre saying, I could have left that part out.

2024-01-23 17:36:46 +0000 UTCIdk what our fellow patrons have against Scarface it's an incredible film, Al Pacino is perfect once again, most reaction channels have reacted to it by now, it's like a staple of a reaction channel just like The Godfather Goodfellas etc lol (no I'm not comparing that one film is better then the other I'm just saying you would find Scarface on alot of channels) but unfortunately it's come in last or second to last in the polls Nat has put it in lol oh well I'll still hold on to Hope that one day later this year it'll be reacted too lol

2024-01-15 21:52:49 +0000 UTCKILL BILL PLEASE 😃 I've tried voting several times, but my Android phone app, won't let me VOTE!
Britt Korsman
2024-01-11 20:16:39 +0000 UTCNever seen wolf of walstreet. not particularly interested in movies about the plight of rich white guys. its like boo hoo I want more money or something with stuff like that.
Ashley
2024-01-10 01:24:34 +0000 UTCThank you for that suggestion. I'm guessing ANDROID is "late".... as usual. 😋
Britt Korsman
2024-01-09 20:48:46 +0000 UTCI've got problems as well... KILL BILL !!!
Britt Korsman
2024-01-09 20:47:55 +0000 UTCI've actually come very close to rewatching the Kill Bills recently because it's been a looong time but if you would do reactions then I'd absolutely hold out for those!!
Sam Winkler
2024-01-06 21:26:54 +0000 UTCugh, here is a drinking game that will kill you. drink every time someone is screaming in wolf of wall street.
Christopher Mcconnell
2024-01-06 07:37:31 +0000 UTCCouple of fun movies you should consider that I don't see many people react to: Focus (2015) with Will Smith & Margot Robbie And Now You See Me
PJ Page
2024-01-05 21:58:51 +0000 UTCI agree. I'm disappointed Reservoir Dogs didn't get more votes. Such a good one. Of course DiCaprio wins xD..
Evan Tillett
2024-01-05 16:52:16 +0000 UTCNot a movie, but you should definitely watch Percy Jackson. It just came out on Disney+ and it is so good so far. It's a similar situation to ATLA, where there was an earlier movie adaptation that didn't turn out good (except it's adapted from a book). They've now made a show with the original author being very heavily involved in the process. It's my favorite book series and I am loving it so far, it is much more loyal to the books. I don't know if you ever read the books, but assuming you haven't, I think we need more raw reactions from people who have no previous context/preconceptions about the show.
Evan Tillett
2024-01-05 16:50:59 +0000 UTCI've never recommended it to a reactor. I do however make all my friends watch it. It's become quite a favorite. We watch it at least once a year as a group.

2024-01-05 16:14:34 +0000 UTCPrior to The Big Short, Carell was nominated for Best Actor (Academy Awards) for his portrayal of John du Pont in the movie Foxcatcher.

2024-01-05 02:46:59 +0000 UTCAh, cool I’ll have to catch that reaction thanks
Charlie Keeler
2024-01-05 02:33:13 +0000 UTCDjangos on the channel. Shes said she’s seen inglourious, kill bill and Hollywood i believe
jamie jones
2024-01-05 02:31:11 +0000 UTCWait have you seen any of QT's films Nat? Doesn't look like Kill Bill wins...but if you haven't might be better to do QT in order so start with Dogs imo.
Charlie Keeler
2024-01-05 01:54:14 +0000 UTCOk... I've waited long enough to say this... you NEED to react to The Room! By the greatest filmmaker of ALL TIME!... Tommy fucking Wiseau. It is the best movie ever made. And then after that, should be The Disaster Artist, which is about the making of the movie, directed by and starring James Franco, alongside his brother, Dave Franco. This would be my one and only request. PLEASE make it so, and then I can die happy. Thank you
RJ Films
2024-01-05 00:36:24 +0000 UTCI like Kill Bill but the Wolf of Wall Street was a bit more fun

2024-01-05 00:19:31 +0000 UTCCome on Kill Bill, you can win this!
Danishprince
2024-01-04 20:44:54 +0000 UTCWolf/Big Short are both amazing
Grigsy
2024-01-04 19:34:20 +0000 UTCAlso you should absolutely react to "Killers of the Flower Moon" also directed by Martin Scorsese , this movie blew me away, it so good !!! i hope he wins a oscar for best directing
Peter Heine
2024-01-04 17:09:51 +0000 UTClooks like "The wolf of wall street" will win , you won't regret seeing it´s so fun and ridiculous, its kind of a dark comedy.
Peter Heine
2024-01-04 16:58:58 +0000 UTCLittle miss sunshine came out like 10 years before the big short. Carell did serious films since then

2024-01-04 07:23:14 +0000 UTCNat just watch Scarface these guys will never vote for some weird reason.
Christopher Henderson
2024-01-04 07:01:26 +0000 UTCEvery single one. I'm jaded to the big short because it was Carell's first real push tp seriousness... and I do believe that comedic actors like Robin Williams and Tom Hanks (Bossum Buddies??) have a gift for drama w a kind curve/// comedians have run the gauntlet of improv and failure and pressure... i think they make some of our greatest on screen.
Kel
2024-01-04 05:49:13 +0000 UTCeh kind of a snore fest.
Moisty Justice
2024-01-04 04:30:24 +0000 UTCVoting for Kill Bill because it is the most rewatchable of movies. Also watching Tarantino benefits from having a broad film knowledge so the experience will have changed after several years of reacting.
Jacob King
2024-01-04 04:30:12 +0000 UTCWill try those suggestions, thanks gang.

2024-01-04 03:47:12 +0000 UTCI hear the app has a problem with voting. I never use it so I've never had a problem.

2024-01-04 03:45:04 +0000 UTCAll of them?
Magnus Thor Magnusson
2024-01-04 03:44:32 +0000 UTCIt did the same thing in the app on my Android phone. I tried it from the browser on my PC, and it worked fine.
Frankie Crews
2024-01-04 01:51:26 +0000 UTCMaybe try in a different browser? Good luck!

2024-01-04 01:24:08 +0000 UTCAnyone else having issues voting? It accepts my vote, then immediately unchecks...weird.

2024-01-04 01:01:06 +0000 UTCIt’s gotta be KILL BILL!!
Timothy Francois
2024-01-03 23:03:07 +0000 UTCKind of a spoiler haha. Esp for the opening of the first episode (which I consider one of the best pilots ever aired). But i do agree, it's a really cool show.
TallTyrionLannister
2024-01-03 22:10:42 +0000 UTCShe mentioned she saw it already. that's enough to keep some people from voting for it. Don't know If you remember but it took a long time for The Boys to get on this channel because she had watched the first season and it only won a poll because she purposely left out that she had seen season 1 on that poll.
Richard Maurer
2024-01-03 19:59:48 +0000 UTCWHAT is going on in this poll 😭 it’s Kill Bill!!
Daniel McGuinness
2024-01-03 19:30:21 +0000 UTCHey, for you next tv show can you watch the first season of Westworld.. such a great show with great actors. Takes place in future about a theme park where people go to interact with the characters of the park, AI robots. The catch is, this isn't a spoiler, AI doesn't know its AI or in a park.

2024-01-03 19:05:46 +0000 UTCAll great movies, just hope we can get reactions to them all at some point tbh

2024-01-03 18:45:55 +0000 UTCContext is important. Kill Bill would be great, but she's seen them already. I find new reactions more emotionally rewarding than just rewatches. What a person believes they recall in the abstract is potentially very different than what is remembered while sitting for the rewatch.
Steve
2024-01-03 18:44:48 +0000 UTCKill Bill, obviously, since Reservoir Dogs doesn't have a shot.
Richard Maurer
2024-01-03 18:43:51 +0000 UTCAll of these are great and all but C'mon guys... It's Kill Bill.

2024-01-03 18:29:54 +0000 UTCYeah Nat, its time for your KILL BILL Reactions!

2024-01-03 17:34:34 +0000 UTCC'mon Kill Bill. Honestly, I've never seen Wolf of Wallstreet, but would be up for it if it wins.

2024-01-03 17:30:09 +0000 UTCHave you considered having polls with fewer options? At the moment it's very rare that one ends up with an outright majority of the votes. Either that or allow people to vote for more than one option (I'm assuming Patreon's polls aren't sophisticated enough for preference voting!)
Chris Cooper
2024-01-03 16:52:48 +0000 UTCI'm voting Scarface. Love that movie and I feel that it's a shame that many people today haven't watched it yet. Is it amazing? Nah. Is it shocking? Absolutely! Being fair, there are multiple movies on this list that I'd be happy to watch a reaction to but Scarface takes my vote.
Logan Kerlee
2024-01-03 16:23:56 +0000 UTCI'd say binge em all, I loved them all.
Martin de Roo
2024-01-03 16:09:41 +0000 UTCI just rewatched The Big Short. Such a good movie!

2024-01-03 15:59:05 +0000 UTCBest poll you've had to date. Every one of these movies is in my top 50 all time including my number one overall
Jordan Belfort
2024-01-03 15:58:23 +0000 UTCI lol'd but also I agree.
Erik Stevenson
2024-01-03 15:45:35 +0000 UTCCan't go wrong with anything on this list, but I'm voting for Kill Bill; the best of Tarantino IMO.

2024-01-03 15:27:01 +0000 UTCTarantino in release order would be a good way of analyzing his career too!
AC5555
2024-01-03 15:26:51 +0000 UTCHopefully we'll get both Kill Bill and Wolf of Wall Street since the voting is so close
Anthony Curione
2024-01-03 15:22:25 +0000 UTCI would watch Kill Bill a million times before is ever touch Wallstreet again. Wallstreet is so overrated just because of Leo 🙄 Margot Robbie is the only good part of that movie. Just watch Kill Bill anyway if you're dying to watch it, Nat. You do you girlie
Shannon Turner
2024-01-03 15:19:33 +0000 UTCGo ahead and keep establishing your view as the only one. I come to reaction channels to see them “expand” while also being entertainment. If that’s an alien and anathema concept to you then go ahead. I’ve spent a lot of money into her Patreon since 2021 and I expect to find a little excitement here. Excuse me if I haven’t been entertained by her or all of you for the last year and my time here recently has only chalked up to feel like I’m wasting money while other channels have been doing other things outside this norm. Well that’s over cuz I just cancelled my subscription. Goodbye
AC5555
2024-01-03 15:15:57 +0000 UTCThe generation before did the same thing with Gordon Gecko from Wallstreet (the Michael Douglas character) ... so it's just history repeating itself.
Jack Burton
2024-01-03 15:14:27 +0000 UTCIt's rather narrow minded and egotistical of you to infer that growth is a single path that you've "successfully" taken and that in order for others to grow they must follow suit. People enjoy movies for different reasons and this "growth" you're preaching in expanding your world is certainly not everyone's reason. For the majority of people it seems to be quite the opposite, a soothing escape from an already expansive and chaotic world.
Shannon Turner
2024-01-03 15:11:52 +0000 UTCBuddy, people aren't coming to Natalie's channel to "expand their cinematic growth." They're coming here because they like hanging with Nat and they like the movie choice. This experience doesn't have to be deep and profound, it's entertainment. The list you provided above is a Film School Bros list if I've ever seen one. Yes, many of the films you listed are good and decent films, but not everybody wants to watch a touching Asian drama. They might just want to watch Spiderman punch a bad guy in the mouth. And they want to watch Nat react a spooky ghost story and get startled with her. Don’t shame people for enjoying the simpler things when life itself can be a punishing grind. Sometimes all a person needs is a movie and a friend to enjoy it with.
Mike Hell
2024-01-03 15:07:30 +0000 UTCI’d much rather watch Natalie’s reaction to the Kill Bill films than TWoWS. Bad ass female assassins are more relatable and redeeming characters than Wall Street weasels!
Rod Reavern
2024-01-03 15:06:34 +0000 UTC💯. Wolf of Wall Street was just a true-ish story about Wall Street deplorables taking greed and self-indulgence to the nth degree. I work in FinTech and it’s disturbing how many banker bros idolize the characters in TWoWS and completely miss the point of the movie. The people who love WoWS should just watch one of those Housewives of Wherever shows instead — it’s the same thing, just with a 20 year-old Margot Robbie instead of a 40+ Botox hag. I’d rather Natalie watch The Big Short instead, which also has Margot Robbie BTW. 😁
Rod Reavern
2024-01-03 14:56:51 +0000 UTCI disagree fundamentally. They will grow because their creators will also see the world and how there’s more to cinema than the same films that get people’s attention. But I seem to be shouting the same thing over and over again with deaf ears making the same ridiculous excuses instead of advocating the expansion of narrow minded horizons. Every filmmaker and cinephile I know in real life watches more than just American cinema tapping into the same stuff everyday. And it expanded their world by going back to what was made a century ago or in another country. Mine too when I followed suit. So called regular people will never grow if they watch the same things again and again. Have a good day.
AC5555
2024-01-03 14:49:07 +0000 UTC🤞🏻 for kill bill. If you enjoy it blue eye samurai on Netflix would be a great shorter show follow up with.
ShyFaux
2024-01-03 14:45:38 +0000 UTCAnd none of the movies you've mentioned will help to grow the channel.. They're good films, great cinema but most of them are unknown by a majority of regular people. Viewers turn into movies they know and love already, not to discover new things.

2024-01-03 14:44:58 +0000 UTCPlease do not let the wolf of wallstreet win awful movie do not know why people rate it

2024-01-03 14:18:53 +0000 UTCThese would all make for great reactions. I think more people should be reacting to the Big Short.
Marc Viloria
2024-01-03 14:14:14 +0000 UTCfor a minute I thought that was Wall Street (1987) 🙂. I voted for Kill Bill this time... but I'm okay with the top 3 in the lead... but then again there's only 5.
Em McG
2024-01-03 14:11:29 +0000 UTCWould honestly be happy to see just about everything.. Voted for The Big Short..

2024-01-03 14:07:27 +0000 UTCSuch as?
Jordan
2024-01-03 14:06:36 +0000 UTCSuch a shame seeing Wolf winning.. It's a decent flick for the first half but just gets too drawn out and boring half way through. Big Short would have been much better imo (Kill Bill is the true best pick had it been a first time viewing)
Danishprince
2024-01-03 14:05:48 +0000 UTCGotta be the Wolf of Wall Street mate, such a chaotic movie with some really great moments! Scorsese really went to town on that one, I could see you having a lot of fun with it!:’)

2024-01-03 14:05:46 +0000 UTCAs an actress, I think Natalie will appreciate the acting and dialogue in Reservoir Dogs. Truly a Tarantino masterpiece.
