2024-01-25 00:37:42 +0000 UTCHad nightmares of this movie. lol It is actually terrifying to think that there could be ppl out there, that are so infatuated with another person and their lifestyle, that it could transform into such hatred. I is a mental health issue I am sure, but for the main character of this movie it seemed to just come out of nowhere. This one was a hard watch tbh. Saw the trailer and was immediately uncomfortable, I am sure that was the goal. I watched it anyway because I adore your reaction vids. :):):)

2024-01-24 04:44:58 +0000 UTCI'm going to go ahead and watch this one another time. Not sure that I have the energy required for another full movie tonight. :) Hope everyone's doing well, though!

2024-01-23 06:31:11 +0000 UTCI enjoyed co-watching this with you and looking forward to see more of the 'second channel' things. I hope you have 'Foe' at your list as well.

2024-01-21 20:30:32 +0000 UTCI watched it blind together with you just now and WOW what a great movie! I loved all of it. Funny: During my watch a friend watched Free Guy and texted me how weird the movie was and I was like "Oh, you sweet summer child".

2024-01-20 06:10:38 +0000 UTCCompletely agree. The barbie reaction outro was one of my favorites, and iβm sad that she stopped doing them as long and in depth.

2024-01-20 05:20:35 +0000 UTCGood observations, I knew the horns on Oliver were obviously supposed to represent the Minotaur in the labyrinth, but for some reason I didn't piece together Felix wings making him Icarus, on rewatch though I noticed when Oliver is talking to Elspeth, and we're seeing the real Oliver for the first time, we see a statue in the background of Theseus fighting the Minotaur

2024-01-19 08:43:05 +0000 UTCI do still really love your outros!! They don't have be as formal as in the past but one thing I've loved about your past reactions is your dissection afterwards and especially after a film like this I'm sad you don't have a few minutes after. I hope you incorporate that into future films as I love to hear your thoughts and opinions :) and there is so much fun foreshadowing and references in this film I think you would've caught on more reflection

2024-01-18 22:46:23 +0000 UTCI think you should quickly follow this up with THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY

2024-01-18 22:13:57 +0000 UTCsome very few details I love because I could write a whole dissertation on everything in this movie, all the way down to Duncan and the workers at Saltburn. -the first breakfast when Venetia is telling her doppelganger story, we see Felix's doppelganger pass by the window, foreshadowing his death. the same window Duncan struggles to close when the police are rolling his corpse by. -Farleigh references Pinocchio a lot when referring to Oliver, he sees right through his barrel of lies from the beginning, since he is playing the same game. although not lying -Oliver is dressed as The Minotaur and literally hunts Felix in the Labyrinth, who is dressed like Icarus who flew too close to the sun. -The "grave scene" was improvised by Mr. Keoghan, as well as slithering up Elspeth's dying body. I took the grave scene as Oliver finally being able to physically dominate Felix, even if it took his death for it to happen. -Oliver's father mentions offhandedly how they would take a YEARLY Mykonos trip. that's not middle class, Oliver is RICH

2024-01-18 22:04:18 +0000 UTCthe original ending was gonna be oliver ordering his breakfast just to have duncan serve him runny eggs, showing oliver will never TRULY be a Catton. but i suppose oliver got rid of the staff who saw him humiliated when he got the estate

2024-01-18 21:59:16 +0000 UTCWell, this movie will be seared into my brain for eternity. People need to watch this asap. He was the "Joker" in The Batman (2022). He sold me on this performance. Ya'll should also watch The Banshees of Inisherin, another great performance by Barry Keoghan.

2024-01-18 21:28:04 +0000 UTCItβs basically Single White Female but with dudesβ¦ the obsession, the lust, and honestly Iβm onboard π«‘ I was gagged and I DID gag, and Iβm ashamed to say I fell for the tension between them π TELL ME WHY I GOT GOODEBUMPS AND TENSE BEFORE THE DRAIN SCENE AGAIN LMAOOO Itβs a weird movie and Iβd watch it again! π΅βπ«

2024-01-18 21:07:49 +0000 UTCIβm pleasantly surprised you watched this! Itβs an odd one, but such awesome storytelling. More movies need to be clever like this! Did you catch the βextraβ in the same pink shirt as Felix walking past the window? I think it was at breakfast the first time. Not an extra, it was Felix. Yay symbolism
Miranda Arnold
2024-01-18 19:31:30 +0000 UTCi think the unpredictable part of the movie is who you root for. The Cattons suck, so we root for Oliver until we realize he is just like them, if not worse. i hated and loved all the characters which is rare for me as a viewer
Ariana Mitchell
2024-01-18 19:27:57 +0000 UTCBarry Keoghan was great in this movie! Hopefully this movie gets him more recognition because I've thought he was great since The Killing of a Sacred Dear. I will say that I thought the "twist" was a bit predictable though. Except for the shot where it shows who Oliver is talking to in the end haha that was awesome.

2024-01-18 18:32:04 +0000 UTCWolf of Wall Street doesn't seem so bad now huh lol this movie was something else lol side note: I'm really enjoying Thursday and Friday movie days, regardless if im interested in the movie or not, double feature goes along way ππ

2024-01-18 18:28:29 +0000 UTCIs this movie sick and twisted? Yes. Did I give it 5 stars? Yes. Does that say something about me as a person? Let's not think about that.

2024-01-18 18:21:05 +0000 UTCemerald fennel is so sick and twisted but also galaxy-brained for writing this. and barry keoghan is a FORCE. i mean wow, he is seriously talented

2024-01-18 17:26:18 +0000 UTCThereβs a lot in this movie thatβs well done (itβs shot beautifully for one), and thereβs parts that definitely felt rushed to me π I think whatβs important is that, when it comes to reviewing this movie, we all try not to throw the baby out with theβ¦ yknow what nevermind π

Great to hear that you are doing and feeling better π Have no idea what this movie is about, but after reading several comment here on Patreon this week, it sounds like I'm in for a rude awakening π Good luck to whoever is editing this one π Your Thursday movies are eclectic, I'll give you that Nat ha ha. It was certainly intriguing, and I couldn't stop watching π
