I wanted to wait to rewatch these movie via your watch-alongs, so that's what I did! Although, I realized a couple minutes into this movie that I wasn't sure if I'd actually seen it. The other two I remember seeing in the theater and I assumed I had watched this one too. Even now at the end, I'm not 100% sure if I had, haha. But it was great to watch them all and end right now since I'm seeing Kingdom the say after tomorrow. It's so great that you were invited to the red carpet! ^___^ Till next time!

Anyone else sad Natalie didn’t start singing “secret tunnel” when the ape were escaping through the tunnel.

Robert Emmett

I will continue championing you watching bad movies: Watch the Burton/Wahlberg Planet of the Apes sometime. You need to sit through some dumb garbage. Come on. We can't be the only ones to suffer. Apes watching shit movies together also strong! And you made me happy by mostly correcting yourself to "ape" in this one. I'd even have been ok with calling the traitor-apes monkeys. What monkey-business are we up to next?

Shen V

This would make me so happy! I've been a Cinebinge sub both on YouTube and Patreon for so long now - seeing a collaboration on something would be fantastic! :)

100%, at least the first one.

lmao, happy that you're pleasantly surprised! This is a very quality movie. I'll be watching Saltburn once this ends. Koba really did fuck all of this up. They have captured apes working with them. It really is awe inspiring watching all of the apes offer themselves in supplication toward Caesar. I've watched this movie a good few times already. Each time I watch I'm always emotional as hell! The way this film was shot and directed is so impressive. It's an ape spread illness, yeah, similar to Simian flu. It makes me feel very happy that you're enjoying this movie Natalie! That's the reason why I enjoy reactions in general so much, and yours in particular. Bad Ape's innocence feels so pure. Yet as an audience we know what will wind up happening with him. We know that he'll betray Caesar and the group. The humanity that the apes show the girl is perfect! I love seeing it. It really makes me feel so happy. What wound up happening to that gorilla is so tragic! lol, it would've been great to have met Woody Harrelson. I love Maurice! Humanity at this point is so disappointing. xD I feel that Matt Reeves did a fantastic job with this film! He helped us, the audience feel as though we were a part of the scene, the story. As for the soldier's actions at the end - I honestly don't care if he felt guilt for his actions. I wasn't considering that at all while I was watching and wouldn't have thought about it if Natalie didn't mention it. The dude deserved far worse than what he got. In the end he's gone and everything that he stood for is dead alongside him. That's what matters. Maurice was totally Caesar's angel on his shoulder. He reminded him that humanity when it comes to kindness isn't a terrible thing. Maurice stuck with him throughout everything. A true friend! Caesar's end was totally heartbreaking! While his end may not make a whole lot of sense - it's one that I'm alright with. I'm glad that the movie let him die and not survive the gunshot wound. It just wouldn't have made any sense for him to. I'm not upset about him not surviving or about him lasting so long and allowing him to travel the desert. His end while not making complete sense is one I can accept. I'm VERY happy that you watched this with us Natalie! They did such an amazing job with this entire series. Everyone in the series played their roles so well, yeah! Andy Serkis and Woody Harrelson, especially so! Thank you for watching this with us! <3

Logan Kerlee

If you want to see another fantastic mocap performance from Andy Serkis, watch King Kong (2005)

Lucky Dragon ‘She.They’

Hellooo so glad you listened to your community and checked them out, and enjoyed them, they are such great movies ! :D Petition for my 2 favorite Dreamworks one day : Spirit Stallion Of The Cimarron and Prince Of Egypt. They are both such deep movies with incredible scores by Hans Zimmer and amazing graphics for their age, they are among the first movies released by Dreamworks 💜

Maurice and Caesar had really been through it all since the start 😮‍💨 THE BOYSS!!!! It’s a fantastic conclusion to this “trilogy” (since a 4th is coming) and to be able to see and recognise the evolution of certain apes throughout these movies… that’s cinema baby. The 2nd act has always dragged a little for me for some reason. A lot of great stuff happens during it, but it’s never been able to capture my attention like the first and third act did 😅 I think the idea is that humans will continue to devolve due to the mutated strain of the simian flu, becoming less independent and able to function properly, another nod to these being a potential canon prequel to the OG planet of the apes since the humans from that movie were also more primitive (doesn’t really matter tho) Monkey movies has been a blast, until next time 🐵

Glad to be part of the Golden (self) Chosen of the Natalie! There have been three adaptions of the book "planet of the ape", that I know of. The original movie series starting 1968, the Mark W. stand alone version, and this series. While they are all distinctly separate, this series did go a long way to pay homage to the original movie series. If they follow the original book concept, which they have so far, humanity never dies out, just reverts to caveman lifestyle/mentality while the apes continue their evolution.

Skyruff

Wow, I hadn't watched any of the planet of the ape movies but same as Nat, I was pleasantly surprised! They were really good, especially the second and third. I was just thinking how strong a Moses parallel Ceaser was. He got his people to the promised land and passed before he could enter.

Yani Dodge

I rem as a kid watching all the POTA movies on Sundays and Godzilla movies... you really need to watch the Original movies they are still amazing! Charleton Heston was awesome

Jayson Phillips

Nat wanted to watch the original movie. Us fans of the original wanted to see her react to it. It must of been in about 10 polls, and it came last because everyone said "No, watch the new ones" Now Nat has watched the new ones, everyone is asking Nat to watch the original... 🤷‍♂️ "It's a madhouse! A madhouse!" 😂

Darryl Low

You need to watch the Original series and then all the names will make sense and the timeline. Nova, Cornellius, Zera, blue - eyes

Jayson Phillips

😄 "I'll be here all week..." Is probably a Las Vegas reference... haha lol. Making suppositions that there used to be inner circle celebs that were multi talented to include song and dance... and comedy. And then they do a show for a week. Mmm maybe traveling comedians too could be booked for a week?

Mannygogou

The comparison to Moses is especially apt since Caesar got to see the Promised Land but wasn’t allowed to enter

Ben Wheeler

Not related to this video but the channel Cinebinge did a long QnA and mentioned that your Lord of the Rings reactions were so impressive that it inspired their channel. They would love to do a collaboration with you on something, like they did with Popcorn in Bed.

So, so happy that you enjoyed this trilogy so much! This new Apes trilogy is really one of the best modern movie trilogies I've seen, and a rare one that I think actually gets better with each film. There are lots of fun call backs to the original films (such as the names Nova and Cornelius and Blue Eyes being used before), would be fun to see you check out at least the original first film if you ever have any interest in seeing the roots. Super excited to see Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes later this year! Fingers crossed it holds up to the standard that these films set.

JD Shick

Bad Ape is so adorable loool. Glad they had him to lighten the mood every now and then, otherwise the movie would have been too bleak.

Andy

It will be nice if you watch the original Planet of the Apes (1968). You could appreciate even more the work and respect to the original movie that was put into this trilogy. And i think it's a good movie, even with how old it is.

Roland The Gunslinger

It makes my heart have feelings to see Nat so into a movie/series. Not only is this a solid story with quality acting and filmmaking - they're animals! And we all know Nattie likes animals more than humans. This is definitely a quality series that is underrated. I am sure we are going to see her react to Kingdom later this year.

Mastervodo

This shouldnt have happened, but this ending gave me an existential crisis

Tijmen ter Beek

I also hope she will find the time to watch the original ones. As you said, quite some easter eggs and connections. Anyway, thanks as always. You´re amazing Nat. Wish you a great Weekend.

Curaitis

mr and mrs smith movie

Grey Wolf

I don't think that guy in the village was her father. She was subdued and had a bloody nose when they found her. I think she was his victim.

Essero Eson

APES! APES! APES! APES! APES!

Mastervodo

been waiting for this one !

Can't wait to hear your thoughts! Perfect way to spend the evening <3

Happy Furry Feature Friday Nat. Excited to be watching this one again with you today 🐵 You're a real chimpion for watching these Apes movies for us Nat. Really enjoyed watching you discover them. This movie was very much The Great Ape Escape, but it's beautifully done. So many great moments, funny and sad. "Too many apes coming in one hole" will go down as one of your better, and dirtiest quotes Nat 🤣 Michael Giacchino's score is really great and captures the sound and scale of the old Biblical epics. We tried our damndest to get the original movie to win countless polls. There's so many cool easter eggs in this movie calling back to the '68 film, and it would have been cool watching you spot them. Maybe one day you can do the reverse, and spot the moments from these movies in it. Thanks for an amazing reaction today Nat, and for all your awesome work this week. Look forward to the stream later. Have a brilliant weekend Nat 💛 And finally, Maurice is named after Maurice Evans, the actor who played the main orangutan character in the original film.
