FIRST TIME WATCHING: Shogun S1E5!!

Here is this week's schedule for those who are curious:
MON: Shogun S1E5
TUE: Invincible S2E1
WED: Movie Poll
THU: Madame Web (haha I HAVE TO!)
FRI: Cars (this is so random I know, but I've never seen this and just feel like I need to understand why they made a movie about Cars...lol)
Update: I will be traveling for most of this week so it's going to affect my filming schedule (mostly for Shogun since episodes are releasing one by one on Monday nights). So I likely won't release an episode for Shogun until later next week (instead of Monday). I might also film just one movie next week as well to give myself a chance to catch up. But then, I'll get right back into 2 movies per week again afterwards. So next week's schedule will likely look something like this:
MON: Invincible S2E2
TUE: Poll
THU: Shogun
FRI: Movie (poll winner from the previous week)
Then, I'll be back to releasing more content the following week. Thanks for understanding!

We obviously nowadays do it in a fridge, but we still hang it for a few days before cooking. The upper class in Japan at that time was almost vegetarian though and saw eating meat as uncouth, so seeing someone eating meat and having it hang around for days wuld have been quite shocking.

And Cars (the first one) was not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's still one of the weakest Pixar films. I think Lasseter (or someone) has even gone on record as saying they were trying to create a film that could have a gigantic toy manufacturing boom, and it absolutely worked in that respect. So props for capitalism, I guess.

You've already cranked out so much content for us this month already. It's been awesome. Excited to watch more Shogun and Invincible this week. Madame Web isn't available here yet, so that one will have to wait. And haven't seen Cars either, so I will enjoy checking that out on FF 😊 The earthquake / tsunami warning that came up at the start of this episode kind of ruined the ending for me, as I was waiting for it to happen 😔 I suspected when the gardener was talking about rocks that it would tie in somehow. It was a tough lesson to learn how mis-understanding the culture cost someone their life, but the way John reset the rock and smoothed and solidified the foundations of it was beautifully done. Almost symbolizing that he's given himself a new foundation to build on and move forward. Really enjoying this show with you Nat 💛
