Yeah, I think Lady Gin is right. What a careless mistake by Toranaga. *wink wink* And especially getting insulted by John after John just told him he will be with him whatever his end might be. I call bullshit. It's a ploy. After all, a man has 3 hearts. One for his public, one for his allies and one for himself. Toranaga is way too smart for any of this. Which makes Omi's death even more tragic. He went rogue (on Omi's behest no less) for no reason.
