Steven Yeun’s performance this episode was unbelievable. The anguish he manages to express, even without dialogue, in an animated show is so impressive 😭 like that’s a king Cecil is like that really out of touch dad who’s trying to be supportive. It was a gross oversimplification of Marks situation but I do believe he needed to hear someone else tell him he did what he had to do

😂

She worried about her walking on a roof in heels I'm over here like she's climbing through a window with a broken arm! She had to lift the dang thing first too.

Inhale Burrito

Debby is the best character in this show

Eric Wallace

The voice actors on this show really just crush it

Rey

Well the creator of invincible, Robert kirkman, also made the walking dead so I feel the zombie reference is warrented

Jergin

I enjoyed Season 1 more, but that's probably because many of the episodes this season didn't grab me as much as the first did. Enjoyed the first more but the villain characters in this season were very interesting. As always, I'm looking forward to more of this as well as other shows like Fallout! :)

Logan Kerlee

im so glad you liked this season so much more than season one. im hoping you stick around. as a comic reader i can tell you, these first two seasons were the "slow" part of the story. cool stuff to come

The Towel

I've really enjoyed the series and I find it necessary to give characters like mark and omni man these existential crises moments because much like characters like superman who rarely get threatened physically the creator has to find ways to make the story interesting other than strong character punch stronger character

john Alexander

I don't trust the writers to make it that simple. I realize we are to think he met Debbie. I agree he meant her but a tiny part of me is expecting a twist a Vultrimite wife. Something that has gone under radar the multiple times Nolan has said the he needs a son to complete his mission

SilentBobFather

Andressa was mad old when mark left. He means debbie.

jamie jones

They speak in the comic panel too, before Amazon needed rights, but it is 100% meant to be Kirkman's TWD.

Adam

I think the Batman debate is so interesting and probably one of the few things about Batman v Superman that Snyder got right. Batman should be brutal, and indeed, lethal (also Batfleck was awesome). Frank Castle has been right all along.

Mike Hell

So glad you enjoyed this season! I genuinely got why some people didn't like season 1 very much, as it had lots of world building an exposition, etc., which isn't always fun. And as you said, some of the dialogue and characterizations were lacking (looking at you, Amber). But season 2 was all gas no brakes. Dang there's still A LOT coming. The Viltrimite that Anissa mentions is coming, there’s other impending changes, the evolution of Robot and Monster Girl, etc. And I have no idea what they will change from the comics. Debbie is so much better in the show, she's basically an alcoholic in the comics and has nowhere near the agency that Show Debbie has, such a great improvement! All in all a great reaction! And can’t wait for Fallout!

Mike Hell

I think at this point Nolan would know that Andressa is dead, and he only spent a few months with her. He spent 20 years with Debbie.

Mike Hell

Am I the only one that thinks which wife?

SilentBobFather

I love that so much, I hope they do the scene later in the series where he says he felt bad about what happened to John Wilkes Booth but couldn't do anything about it because he's supposed to be dead!

Mike Hell

We had, Planet of the Dinosaurs Batman, Spider-Man what were the campfire and other dimensions?

SilentBobFather

is that Lincolns top hat? Yes… because The Immortal is quite literally Abe Lincoln haha. Not kidding. He’s Abe Lincoln.

djKENTO

it isssss and it isn’t. Amazon doesn’t own the rights to that and they zombies speak…

So glad this season was an improvement for you! I think Season 1 did a few things better, but I absolutely enjoyed this season more. I think the characters felt more sympathetic. I connected with Mark’s journey immensely this season. Last season, I enjoyed him, but I don’t think I was fully invested until the last episode. The trauma and fear from his relationship with his father was well executed and emotional, imo. But Debbie was the MVP of the season for me. She has been through just as much pain as Mark, but also has to act as his support system. And she does it with grace. I hope they continue giving this character and Sandra Oh a spotlight in future seasons. I do wish Eve had a bigger presence this season. However, I expect that will come in Season 3. Great reactions and I can’t wait for Fallout!

FW27

Not sure if this has been commented yet, but the "zombie dimension" is The Walking Dead, since Robert Kirkman wrote both Invincible and TWD. It is also why there are so many actors from TWD in this show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has hinted he'll be apart of season 3.

Adam

Love this show, so well done. Be wary of reading youtube comments when you post there, some people who read the comics cant help themselves and post spoilers.

jamie jones

So the Spider-Man like guy… That’s Josh Keaton who played Spider-Man on The Spectacular Spider-Man which is the best animated adaptation of the character. This was a big pop for fans of that series. in the comics when this happens, it’s not a fake Spider-Man.. it’s straight up Spider-Man and Invincible does a fun little issue with him in Marvel comics. They also do all these same jokes of making fun of everyone across all comics. Also the rifle that Mark shows up with and smacks Angstrom with… that’s a Fortnite sniper rifle because Invincible is in Fortnite.

djKENTO

Debbie is a fine character from all the Invincible comics I've read until now (not all of 'em), but this show elevates her to a truly, truly great character. She's kind, resilient, finds it in her heart to really love Oliver deeply despite him being the son of "the other woman". The writers on the show really did her justice. MVP! MVP!

Andy

Glad you liked the season Nat! Unfortunately I just didn't connect to it, I find Mark's character really grating/annoying at this point, and would rather be spending his screen-time with literally any of the other characters lol.

Erik Stevenson

I am glad you have come around to this series! Having read the entire Invincible series, I know what is to come. And there are some GREAT arcs to come! Don't sleep on Robot and Monster Girl! Allen continues to be one of the best things about the series! And we haven't even met some of the more dangerous Viltrumites yet! One theme that gets explored a lot in comic books is this idea of: Should a "Superhero" kill, or not kill? Mark was on the side of never killing. And he is grieving for the loss of that innocent stance right now. Look at Batman vs. Joker. How many people has Joker killed? (Online, the estimate is like 8 million across continuities) How many people could Batman have saved if he took the stance of say, the Punisher, and killed the Joker after the first few? (Now, this is completely ignoring the problem that these are just stories and the Joker is a very valuable IP.) This was explored also very well in that 2nd season of Daredevil between DD and Frank Castle (Punisher). As far as this episode goes with Mark, my opinion perfectly aligns with the immortal words of Sheriff Wayne Ivey of Brevard County. "Evil can never be dead enough".

Mastervodo

Let’s goooo🔥 The parallel between Mark brutally beating someone in this finale, and Nolan doing the same to him last season was awesome, my favourite detail!👌
