2024-08-21 11:00:33 +0000 UTCAt first when Otto was like “I do not wish to hear of it” I thought he meant he would love her no matter what and I was like ‘aww that seems sweet’ but then I realised it’s so brutal bc he genuinely does not want to deal w/ that shit 😭 But honestly… Otto being unable to comfort Alicent, his daughter, when she opens up to him being immediately followed by her being unable to comfort Aegon, her son when he’s in pain… abuse is a cycle man

Lot's of scheming and plotting, a little action, and lots of important character development. I get the season is slower but don't listen to the people who think that makes it inherently bad. Season 1 spanned at least 20 years, this season takes place in a matter of weeks. Also remember, Rhaenyra is Daemons 3rd wife. We saw the death of his 1st two wives in season 1. And finally, if a kingsguard refuses an order, the most likely outcome for them is death. Either way, Criston Cole doomed the man to his death. Can't wait to see your thoughts on the rest of the season!

2024-08-20 05:07:28 +0000 UTCMy unpopular opinion is that Aegon IS exacyly like Viserys. He’s just a darker version of him, just like how Aemond is a younger Daemon. Aegon, like Viserys, is a slave to his indulgences. He would rather drink than confront his problems. They’re both messy, sensitive kings who run away from responsibility and cause a lot of damage in their wake.

2024-08-19 14:42:48 +0000 UTCDragonstone and Kings Landing are very close. Plus Game of Thrones was never really about action, aside from when that’s all it had to offer. A battle a season was common for the first 4 seasons and the best seasons are the first 4. Personally I think smartly written morally ambiguous characters and next level cinematography and editing are why I watch.
