Let's Watch: Inside Out
Added 2024-08-22 13:00:12 +0000 UTCHey folks!
It's time for some animated goodness and emotional moments with Inside Out! I'm so glad I decided to revisit this one. It was so much more beautiful and funny than I even remembered.
I know I mentioned a couple of times in the intro for this that I planned on watching Inside Out 2 next week. However, I decided to throw up a poll yesterday to help pick what we watch next week. So ignore that rambling unless, of course, Inside Out 2 won haha...
I watched this on Disney+ for those who are curious. As always, thank you for your support here on Patreon. Until the next one, take care and stay golden :)

Never thought I would see a Chinatown reference in an animated movie, but here we are.

2024-08-23 00:34:44 +0000 UTCI still think this movie is such a perfect little metaphor for emotions, especially for young kids. A big event in your childhood, like moving, can change you as a person and also give you new avenues for friendship and love, hence the island changes and the cyclical nature of it. But there’s subtle enough little pieces for adults to dig into and wonder about; like why is Sadness the head emotion in Riley’s mums brain? Or Anger in her dads? The introduction of mixed emotions at the end - and the promise of more complex emotions in Inside out 2, can’t wait to cry again! But at the end of the day you need sadness, be it to mourn things in order to be able to move on, or just to release your stress and frustration from a rough day 🥹 as an anxious teen my head emotion definitely would’ve been sadness lmaoo, but we get there!

2024-08-22 22:41:31 +0000 UTCMight be my favorite Pixar movie which is saying a lot. The sequel is just as amazing if not more so.

2024-08-22 17:11:13 +0000 UTCHappy Thursday Nat. Another awesome animated reaction for us to enjoy 😊 I look forward to watching along with you at the weekend 💛 I really enjoyed watching this movie with you today Nat. A lot of laughs and a lot of tears. Good shout on the theme of the score. Another Michael Giacchino composition, who did indeed write the score for UP and countless other Pixar movies, including Ratatouille and The Incredibles. He loves his solo piano moments 😊 Haven't seen the follow up yet, so looking forward to watching that with you on Friday. Thanks for an awesome reaction today Nat 😊

2024-08-22 13:27:02 +0000 UTCThis is already a decade old next year. I still remember my 15 year old self watching this film with my little sister who adored it. Now she's 21 and just graduated from College and a full time nurse, time went by too fast. There's also people my age who watched this film as teens who are now watching the sequel with their kids. Is this what getting older feels like?
