2024-09-25 03:18:04 +0000 UTCThe closest we ever got to Mystique and Nightcrawler was in Apocalypse. Raven rescued Kurt from that illegal fight ring in Germany.

2024-09-25 02:17:51 +0000 UTCThat's pretty much my thinking as well. I guess there was a bit of a time jump, and they connected the dots off-screen.

2024-09-24 22:40:59 +0000 UTCTo answer your question the movies never confirmed the nightcrawler mystique connection. But it’s from the comics and the tv show. Mystique is also rogue’s adopted mother. Which is why Nightcrawler calls Rogue his sister As to how they knew magneto lived, I have no idea lol. I didn’t think of that the first time I watched it. But I think it’s just cause they witnessed the magnetic powers and put two and two together

2024-09-24 22:14:10 +0000 UTCSuch a powerful show. It’s amazing they can cram so much into 30 minute episodes 😅 The X-Men being a metaphor for POC, Queer ppl, and minority communities in general means they get some of the juiciest storylines that also hit a little close to home lol I love the way they talk about “Tolerance” in this show specifically. The idea that you have to beg people to accept you for who you are, that you’re not welcomed, you’re tolerated, and that tolerance can vanish in a second. From Roberto’s mum seemingly accepting him as a mutant, only to then ask him to essentially stay in the closet because “people are scared”, to Hank and Scott having to be interviewed to try and alleviate Human ‘concerns’. It’s a scary thought, especially these days 😅 love the reactions Natalie!

2024-09-24 21:22:18 +0000 UTCAlso the movies were shit at explaining people's origins. They never said Nightcrawler is Mystique's son. And that Rogue and him are adopted siblings.

2024-09-24 20:11:20 +0000 UTCthis show is so fantastic. So in this timeline Mystike (however you spell it) is very different from the movies. She is quite the villain (sometimes anti hero). She even helped Apocalpyse. Abonded Nightcrawler and was a terrible adopted mother of Rogue. Next two episodes only go up!

2024-09-24 15:04:40 +0000 UTCIt’s crazy how powerful some of these mutants are like Magneto broke out of his prison and shut down all the robots & maybe the earth? Idk

2024-09-24 14:11:50 +0000 UTCLogan has been alive for 200+ years memory or no memory he knows if you don't see a body that person isn't dead.

2024-09-24 13:17:10 +0000 UTCBastion’s full legal name is Sebastion Gilberti. His father was an ordinary man who was unknowingly infected by the futuristic techno-organic virus courtesy of Nimrod. Bastion was born with that same virus from day one.

2024-09-24 13:04:13 +0000 UTCCameos: First, we catch a glimpse of William Stryker on a news report at Roberto Da Costa's parents' house. Stryker, a controversial preacher and televangelist, views mutants as a sin against God. You might recognize him from the films, where he's portrayed as the mastermind behind the Weapon X program. This is a significant departure from his comic book origins, where he's more focused on leading an anti-mutant crusade. Though he does have a military background in the comics, reaching the rank of sergeant in the Army, it's not as central to his character as in the films. Next, we see Doctor Doom, the ruler of Latveria and the arch-enemy of the Fantastic Four. If you haven’t seen the Fantastic Four films, this might be your first real exposure to Doom. He was shown on the CRT TV display in Bastion underground base. Baron Zemo also makes an appearance during the same scene. This is Helmut Zemo, the 13th Baron Zemo, son of the Nazi scientist Heinrich Zemo, a key antagonist of Captain America during WWII. You might recognize this Zemo from Captain America: Civil War (2016) and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). Toward the end of the episode, we see Spider-Man in his classic 90s design, followed by Silver Samurai (Keniuchio Harada). In the comics, Silver Samurai is a recurring foe of Wolverine, particularly during his adventures in Japan. He's also the field leader of Big Hero 6, Japan's answer to the Avengers. Interestingly, Keniuchio Harada appeared in The Wolverine (2013) as "the bow guy," but he never donned the iconic Silver Samurai armor in that film. Instead the "old man" wore a massive mech Silver Samurai suit. And Finally, Omega Red makes his appearance. He was part of a Russian super-soldier program akin to the Weapon X program that produced Wolverine, and he even worked alongside Logan as a member of Team X. There was a tiny cameo of Omega Red in Deadpool 2 (2018) within the Icebox prison. Background prisoner with long blonde hair and an Omega mark on his head. Movie Mystique: The X-Men films never addressed the fact that Mystique (Raven) is Kurt’s mother, apart from a brief conversation between the two in X2 about both being blue. Timeline-wise, it’s questionable if Mystique would have even been old enough to be Kurt’s mother, given the way she was portrayed in First Class. Still, with her shape-shifting abilities and slow aging, it’s not impossible. It’s just something the films left out entirely. It’s also worth noting that, in both the comics and the X-Men Animated Series, Mystique (Raven) was around during the dawn of the 20th century, making her about 50 years older than Wolverine. However, in the films, she’s depicted as a child in the 1940s and in her twenties during the early 1960s. Similarly, the films overlooked Mystique’s role as Rogue’s foster mother, which would have made Rogue and Kurt siblings in a way. Though the Rogue we see in the films is VERY differant to her comic counterpart. Coming from a loving family but running away after finding out that she's a Mutant.
