No it doesnt. She doesnt die in the uk version. The sequel shows that eventually Sarah escapes the cave system with amnesia. It doesnt discount the actual ending(uk one). It actually has her escape two days after the first film ends making the uk version canon

She does live among them but she's biding her time. She has killed them and she can live among them, eating what they eat. But when they forage outside she can eventually find her way out - but does she remember her life outside or does she go back in the cave? to live out her delusion? (Edit - lol this is just a made up story and it does not relate at all to the Descent 2 that I've never seen, this was for entertainment purposes only, not investment advice lol)

Okay I must've watched the US ending in the theater lol ๐ You know how you can rewrite your own memory?, yes you can ๐คจ The two endings are actually very different if you think about it... she never climbed up the sunlit path, there was no SUV conveniently waiting outside. Her running in fear was just in her head. Her sad ending is that she becomes one of the creatures in the cave... that's where she lives now ๐ฎ

I understand why some people would want that but I feel like this ending is much more in line with the way the rest of the film feels.

2024-10-24 16:40:34 +0000 UTCJust to confirm what you assumed, Nat: Yes. the US ending literally just cuts off the movie before the real ending to make audiences assume she escaped. The UK ending is just the extra minute at the end showing her escape was a dream.
