Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Because Liar Liar and Free Guy had a definitive tie we will be watching both! I decided to start with Liar Liar and get into Free Guy next week. I watched Liar Liar on Peacock, for those who'd like to watch along with me.
The schedule is going to look a little different this week (and in the coming weeks) because of Arcane's Season 2 release schedule. Here is this week's schedule:
MON: Liar Liar
WED: Arcane S2E1
THU: Arcane S2E2
FRI: Arcane S2E3

2024-11-13 18:32:47 +0000 UTCFun Fact - Jim Carrey has a cameo in his own movie. I heard about this a while back, but finally saw it when I watched the movie with Nat. At 1:16:40, look in the background and you will see Jim playing one of the first characters he created, Fire Marshall Bill on the show In Living Colour. You can't quite hear what he saying but it must be something crazy as a lot of the extras standing next to him start cracking up π

2024-11-13 12:23:46 +0000 UTCWas hoping for the Mask reaction but Lair Lair is also a persona favourite. Still insane that 1994 was like the year of Jim Carrey be had The Mask Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura all come out that year and blasted him into pop-culture icon status almost instantly.

2024-11-12 20:36:15 +0000 UTCNatalie, I don't pay attention what days you bring movies out. Drop a movie any day. It seems reactors are doing more tv shows and less movies lately. Probably due to some movie studios not being reaction friendly. Liar Liar is one of my favorite Jim Carey. One reactor pointed out how the Fletcher character is going one day without lying yet his ex wife Audrey is lying to herself. Maura Tiemey was in Twisters. Cary Elwes is great whether he is play a protagonist or an antagonist. He was in Twister before this movie and Saw in 2004.

2024-11-12 07:48:32 +0000 UTCThis movie and Bruce Almighty are why Jim Carrey is my favorite comedy actor (though Dumb & Dumber is my favorite of his comedy movies). His characters in these movies are major a**holes but he had to make the characters likeable enough to make you want him to succeed.
