2024-12-21 07:23:56 +0000 UTCI think Oz trying to steer his mom from her brief relapse was less for her sake and more about it striking a nerve about his brothers.

2024-12-19 10:27:49 +0000 UTCSo I know you probably get pelted with request constantly…but I wouldn’t be doing my Gold Standard membership justice if I didn’t request “Scott Pilgrim v. The World.” Feels suitable, especially as a homage to your gaming streaming as well.

2024-12-19 00:52:46 +0000 UTCDeirdre O Connell is fucken killing as Francis. Everyone has proved they can play big roles. We love our mothers and hate to see our loved ones suffer in that way. Your look of shock that Sofia didn't kill Eve is the highlight reaction Nat. It's pretty Ironic how Sofia was raised to believe Salvatore Maroni is the bad guy, the enemy, but Carmine Falcone killed his own wife and committed his own daughter into Arkham, yet in this episode Salvatore is the one being warm and fatherly to Sofia. Salvatore said it himself: "The Falcones eat their young."

2024-12-19 00:28:18 +0000 UTCI work as a nurse in a nursing home and most of the people there have alzheimer, dementia lewy body etc etc. We have a method called validation. It means that if somebody is seeing something that is not real, we acknowledge it and try to steer the conversation. For example: if somebody is seeing their parents, you can ask about them, what they did for a living, where they lived. You shouldn't shoot down the visions because you might confuse the person who thinks they are real and that might cause more anxiety. These conditions are really tough for anybody and it's easy to understand why Oz doesn't wanna accept the condition of his mother. Anyway, this was my PSA. 😁 I'm really enjoying this show.

2024-12-18 18:06:36 +0000 UTCLewy body dementia. It is the same condition that Robin Williams had though he had a much more advance case that wasn't diagnosed until after his death. What began as some memory and mood issues, it then rapidly progressed to significant mental and physical decline. The physical symptoms were originally misdiagnosed as Parkinsons as they have similarities, as for the mental decline he was having delusions and paranoia thinking things were happening that were not. He couldn't keep track of conversations not remembering what was said and himself repeating the same things over and over. And all of this was rapidly progressing and worsening, by the end he had little to no quality of life. His post-mortem examination, doctors were astonished by how advanced his case was.

2024-12-18 15:24:10 +0000 UTCHappy Wednesday Nat. Time for more of the black and white stuff 😄 Thanks for another great Penguin reaction today Nat. I love the final moments at the summit and they are talking about taking back power and then the power comes on, and then it cuts to Sofia standing in the shadows. It was so cool and a tense cliffhanger. I look forward to the final episodes next week 💛
