"Plot Armour". It means that someone is guaranteed to survive because of their significance to the plot. It's not an uncommon reference.

I think it was good that they split the seasons. Im not guy who complains about stuff much so for me this cliffhanger was kinda nothing and im excited for Season 3. I am more excited about Season 3 now than i would've been if they had all episodes in this season 2.

Yes, 2 + 3 were filmed all at once. According to the director/writer, this was the easiest place to split the 2 seasons up. People have said thats bullshit, but nobody has seen how the rest of the episodes flow together or how many there are. The first season had 9 episodes so this wasn't that much shorter.

I never heard the term "plot shield" before. I don't get why Netflix had this season split. Stupid move. I do like season one better but I still lived this season. It's not as bad as comments are overexaggerating. It makes sense how the detective survived the fall. Another reactor was suspicious of the boat guy in episode 4 or 5.

Redrum Ritual

They have a full other season coming which I'm guessing should be almost the same in length. They left you wanting more, they did their job.

Robert Miller

tv studios have been doing it for years lol.

I want Natalie to react to the Chucky movies so bad hahaha I need her to get all the way through to bride/seed and even beyond

As far as I know season 2 + 3 were shot together as one. I believe it was Netflix/studio level wanting to break it up for marketing. I have a few criticisms of the season but I think that fact explains all of them. Boat/Island search was a big nothing burger to me. I know it will play a big part next season but with them breaking it up, it was just a waste of time. Rewatching this with you was super fun, and I noticed some interesting stuff. I believe if they lost any game In-Ho would definitely not have been killed. 6 legged race they were clearly going last so he could leave the game unnoticed if they lost. Same with mingle when he separated from them. I loved the mutiny scene, but their progress made a lot more sense when you realize the Frontman was letting Gi-Hun play the hero. Unnie is a fucking badass!! Also the reason so many were good with guns is there is Mandatory Military Service of some form for everyone in Korea.

Evan Kingsfield

Yeah there was no shock value for me so while I understand season 3 is going to continue where we left off, I feel like there was no substance in this finale. At least we don’t have to wait 2 years but still 5 months after that finale is eh 😅

Juliana Montenegro

I cant believe they left it like that, there was so many unresolved issues... its more like a mid season break.

Baggie Mark

Thank you for watching! I loved seeing your reaction. The captain was obviously a mole, I would have thought you would have picked up on that earlier. 😂 The most impressive part of this season was the Front Man. Lee Byung-Hun did an amazing job, he made In-Ho so layered, interesting and complex, I hope we see more of his origin story in Part 2 (🤭)

I really enjoyed season 1 but this season was definitely lacking. I'm concerned there isn't enough story left for more than 2 or 3 episodes, unless they focus a whole lot more on the rescue mission, which, as you mentioned, seemed sidetracked. I still had a good time watching it but it just didn’t feel… complete. Also I feel like the antagonists felt more cartoonishly evil than the first season. Thanos was a cartoon character and there were others who seemed to have no problem just letting the other contestants die. I don't recall that being so blatant in S1.

Mike Hell

Natt, the reason they all can shoot (at least for the Men) is that South Korea has Mandatory Military Service, Most men get Drafted for couple years and go through military training. So yes they know how to shoot.

Rogier Oude Heuvel

I really enjoyed this season though it did help a lot knowing that they filmed seasons 2 & 3 back to back - otherwise that ending would have frustrated me

Happy Tuesday Nat. Excited to see where we end up at the end of this one today. Wow, that was an intense final episode Nat. What a place to leave it. When I saw there was 5 minutes left, I could see the tragedy coming. I think they did well coming up with something different to the first season. It definitely didn't have the shock value of that season, but they did bring in a lot more interesting characters this time. I wonder if that brief clip at the end means they are bringing in a new set of players to merge with the existing ones 🤔 I'm excited to see what happens next. Thanks for your awesome reactions for this season Nat. I've really enjoyed watching along with you 💛
